Wow, this is the first time I've heard of Creative Teams. This sounds like something I would really love to look into - where would I go to find out more and to apply?

You can pm me if you'd like. Thanks! :goodvibes

One of your best bets would be to go to DigiShopTalk's forums; there's a section there just for designer and creative team calls. I think there's another one called Just Digital Calls, or something like that. Somebody else will correct me on that one. :)

Hi all. I have a new layout to share. Not so much for the layout as for the photoshop action I found for free at Adobe Exchange. In three clicks it makes your photo appear to be standing up. I just love it and can see lots of possibilities. here is a quick layout I did to show it to you:

Font Credit River, PS Action used: Stand Up available at Adobe Exchange, Kit used "Poohie", Credits not included.

I've also been spending alot of time working with Adobe Lightroom. I must tell you to get this software. it is so easy to use and does some remarkable fixes on photo's with just a few clicks. I put 2 before and afters on my website to show you how in under a minute I was able to repair two WDW pictures from 2006 that I thought were goners LOL.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Post soon I hope

Thanks for all the info on the Creative Teams. I assume you get the kits for free? I would like that part... I don't think my layouts are good enough yet to do the designers justice but maybe sometime in the future...Something to think about...

Kelly - I like your new layout. It is a cool effect. I also read your website. are you learning Photoshop or Elements? I currently use PSPX and have been thinking about getting Elements... (I could not afford the full blown Photoshop though) I also liked how your photos were fixed with Lightroom. I may have to look into getting that program....

Wow, I haven't scrapped now in 4 days - what is wrong with me? :confused3

I am posting this in both threads.

I ran across a charity kit today that is just gorgeous and HUGE. A designer at Pickleberrypop lost her husband in a tragic farming accident and over 50 designers have come together to create this kit: (this in only part of the kit)

PBPRayofLight_wholepreview.jpg

This entire kit is only $12.15 and is over 750 meg. Here is the blurb about the kit:

Ray of Light is a tribute kit in memory of Ray Fisher, loving husband to one of our very own designers DebF, and father to their 7 children. Ray lost his life in a tragic farming accident which occurred in early May 2007. Please help us support Deb and the children by purchasing this kit. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to this family in need.

The kit is amazing, not to mention HUGE! It is available as Part 1 or Part 2, or you can purchase the whole kit which contains many additional bonuses! Over 50 designers contributed to this kit, which contains:

- over 100 papers (12"x12")
- over 150 elements
- designer discounts booklet
- freebie mini kit which was sent to all May 2007 'Buy DebF' supporters
- 2 alphas + BONUS alpha
- BONUS 2 fonts
- BONUS 8 quick pages
- BONUS 7 layered templates

I just thought I would share as I know all of us would be lost if something like this happened to us. here is the direct link to the shop if you are interested.

OK, so after I saw this thread I went and downloaded the free trial for Photoshop and a few of the free kits (thanks to the Digital Scrapbooking FAQ thread!) so I could try this! I've only done one page so far, but hopefully I can do a few more before the trial runs out! This is kind of fun (even if it's not very good, and I'm still figuring out how the program works)!!! :) :thumbsup2

Kelly - Thanks for the info on that kit. I feel for that poor family. I can't imagine how devestated that poor family must be. I can't imagine what I would do if I lost my husband.

Great job on your layout!!!! Much better than my first ones. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!!! Beware, digiscrapping is addictive... I do look forward to seeing more of your layouts.

Thanks Fran! :thumbsup2 You told me about SOTB and I have become addicted there and Scrapbook-Elements. I am trying to finish all the challanges and the posting challange is all I have left. I know I went thru your whole member gallery and posted comments on lots of your layouts. You have some great WDW layouts that I had not seen posted here so they were new to me. I do have some new Disney Cruise layouts but I need to upload them to photobucket so I can share them here... I will work on that...

I've been lazy about posting them here lately. I have my own webspace where I usually upload them right away so that I can show my mom who lives out of state. I finally uploaded and had about 30 to do, I hadn't done it in so long. I had never had more then 2 or 3 to upload at a time previously! I saw your comments, thank you.

Here's a couple I've done lately:

Lisa and Fran -

What is your user names on SOTB and Scrapbook Elements? I would love to see what you are doing there. I use to be all over SE site but haven't in along time.

Fran - Great layouts, especially the Ohana layout. So cute, your little one. He looks like he is having such a good time. Is he doing the hula LOL

Two questions for anyone here..

Does anyone here have a Wacom tablet and do ou use it? DH brought me one home today and it's pretty cool but has one heck of learning (control) curve :goodvibes . May be a while before I can scrap with it.

The Wacom came with Elements 4.0. I took a look at it and it looks like it may be easier to learn it then move to CS2. Anyone here use Elements 4.0? Do you have a good Scrap tut site for this software?

Got to go walk the dogs so I can listen to WDW Today live show. It starts at 8:00. I love this podcast. If you have never heard the guys you can find them at www.wdwtoday.com

Be back shortly..

Kelly

WOW Fran, those are really really nice!!!

Kelly, I've been wanting a tablet, but don't think I can justify the expense to DH, let us know how you like it.

My name is the same on all forums I post on, Fran98765. I post/have galleries at SOTB, SBE, Digitals, DSP, Scrap Girls, Digital Divas and Divine Digital. Some I do and post challenges and not much else, others I am more of a regular poster, so I don't read all that all the time!

And yes, he was hula-ing at the table. He was too shy to dance in the aisles. :( But he did go up for the broom shuffling game with dad. We got 2 lei's that day and we still have them and he still likes to wear them and hula around the house!

I finally got around to scrapping another Disney page. I love taking pictures of flowers so I have plenty of them from Disney. I added a couple of hidden Mickey's for you on this board.

Kelly, I have and use a Wacom Graphire 4, the least expensive one they have. I love it! It especially works great for me because I'm on a laptop, and it's a lot faster to deal with the pen as opposed to the tiny laptop track pad. It took a little getting used to, but the best advice I ever heard was to try to use it exclusively for EVERYTHING until you're comfortable with it.

I also started with PSE4 and upgraded to CS2 last February. I'd definitely recommend going that route; PSE4 is a bit less intimidating than CS2, but you'll find that if you switch, you are already ahead of the game, so to speak. After a week or so of using CS2, I felt like I'd been using it forever. :)

BTW, to everyone else, I put some new labelmaker frames up on my blog this afternoon, plus retinted CinderGirl papers. (Read seebeesfreebies.blogspot.com to find out about the retint & download everything.)

I'm thinking I may work on our Pirates & Princess Party page later today.

Hi all -

Just a quick post to let you know I may not be around much the next week or so. First my semi-retirement is ending. I got a new job and it starts next week. I am pretty happy with it and guess what only 20 minute drive instead of 2 hours LOL..

On top of that my DH and I ordered cabinets and counters for the blank corner of our kitchen and they will be installed soon . They are coming tomorrow for the final measurements and then they said they need to check schedule but believe they can be done within the next 2 weeks. I've been wanting to do this for a year. I am so exited.

On top of that we bought 11 gallons of paint today, we are planning on painting the entire lower level over the next month, starting with the kitchen tomorrow since we need to get this done before the cabinets are installed. I of course took before pictures tonite :goodvibes

Lastly, Gibson has to have his neutering surgery next week and the vet said he will be pretty sore and demanding for a few days and we will need to keep Paige and the cats away from him so we are going to be super busy, plus its baseball tournament season and my DH is a Southeast Commissioner for Babe Ruth Baseball/Softball so he will be really swamped with Regional tournaments and the World Series which is being held about 20 miles from here.

Now that I reread all that I just wrote, maybe I should have waited on that new job LOL ahh well it wouldn't be us if it wasn't crazy here.

Post soon, until then be good!!
