Melissa, that's just beautiful. When I first saw it I was honestly breathless for a moment. Very, very nice.

Hi, I am new to the group and tried upload some layouts but I get an error message about post count too low. Am I doing something wrong?

By the way, love the group. We are Disneyaholics, but I have learned a lot from this site. Thanks!

Kellan - first of all, welcome to the group! No, you haven't done anything wrong. The DIS Boards require a certain number of posts in order to access certain functions/priveledges. I think the magic # is 10. So, stick around the boards - and make a few posts - once you get to 10 - try again.

If you go to your CP (top left side of the boards) it will tell you what you are 'allowed' to do or not do.

Good luck!

Can someone please post direct links to sources of disney-themed digi scrap kits, other than the ones on eBay? I've been looking for the ones referenced in the FAQ thread since yesterday afternoon, with no luck... and I'm currently very inspired to do some digi scrapping (or hybrid scrapping, as the case seems to be)

Thanks!

Hi, I saw your post and thought I would respond -- at the top of the list is Glenda Ketcham at Digitals. I was just there and the store is down temporarily for maintenance or something. I know those links will work once the store is up. Glenda is my mom, and I am the one who forced her to do kits that are "Disney-esque" because I couldn't find digital stuff that would go with my pics. There was all kinds of Disney paper scrapping supplies, but no digi.
Even though she came through on her end by creating the kits, I am still three Disney trips behind, and am going again in a few weeks. After finding this site, I got motivated and did a few layouts last night.

Now that I've spent the last 3+ hours looking through all 65 pages of this thread, I feel compelled to share my first attempt at digi scrapping.

Some of the text got cut off when I uploaded the picture, but it printed out wonderfully. The image size is 8.5x11 so I can print it at home.

I got a bunch of digital pages done this weekend. :woohoo: All of these are part of my family/heritage book.

This layout is of my Great-Grandma on my mom's side. She was an amazing lady. She lived to be 101 and was just 2 weeks shy of her 102nd birthday. I was glad that I got to meet her several times.

Credits: I actually made the paper for this one using brushes in Photoshop. The frame is also my own. The brads are from Atomic Cupcake. The ribbon is from a tool kit by Raspberry Road. I used an embroidery action from Atomic Cupcake on the name.

A Mother's Love - I had several really nice pictures of my Great-Grandma and my Grandma so I thought it would make a nice layout.

Credits: Again, the paper is my own creation using several brushes in Photoshop. The heart brads are from Atomic Cupcake. I used the chipboard action from Atomic Cupcake on the word "Love."

When you were a little girl . . . - I thought it would be a neat to do a page about what life was like when my Grandma was a little girl. I found a site where you can look up information about prices, headlines, etc from whatever day you want. I just used my Grandma's birthday instead of trying to guess how old she was in each of these photos. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Credits: The paper is my own creation using lots and lots of brushes in Photoshop. I also created the pattern and frame. The bow is a brush.

Today I married the Love of my life - In the one album my Grandma had wedding pictures of each of my Aunts and Uncles. This is my Aunt and Uncle who are also my godparents. They were married until my Uncle passed away suddenly on February 26, 2002.

Credits: Paper by me. I used several brushes. I found this one set of brushes a while ago that is different types of lace. I used one of those here. The tissue/vellum and photo corners are from Atomic Cupcake.

Hey hoosiergirl7:

I just wanted to send out a holler to another Hoosier. Also wanted to say thanks for using one of my kits in your layout! :yay:

These are the pages I did this week from our Christmas 2006 trip! I really struggled with scrapping Animal Kingdom...when I started this album 10 months ago...I struggled then too so I took a break (of course, it wasn't supposed to be a 10 month break!! :rotfl2: ). I am not sure if I am completely satisfied with these...let me know what you guys think.

I'm really not sure why the pictures are showing so big (at least they are showing big on my computer). I did resize them to 6x6 like I normally would to post. :confused3

Thanks,
Jes

Journaling reads: Lindsey's Stats -- Short, Big pretty tummy, Chubby thighs, Chubby wrists, Dimples, Dimples, Dimples

Journaling reads: Sydney's Stats -- Short, Loves princesses, long eyelashes, wants to be a big girl, chubby cheeks

I loved these costumes -- we had just gone to DW at the begining of the month and Sydney (Jasmine) wore her's to the princess breakfast. Lindsey (Tinkerbell) didn't want anything to do with her costume or the princesses at the breakfast. But, come Halloween, she had changed her mind. Note: I don't normally allow my daughter to wear that much makeup!

Finally got time to finish the England/Illuminations page for mom's scrapbook.

Got another page done. The frame is klewis-flutterfreebie (I'm trying to learn to sort and organize so I can give credit :-) ). The background paper a diamond Photoshop pattern I picked up somewhere that I colorized.

PS -- I did resize this in photobucket... don't know why it's showing up so large on here :-(

great job, your mom will love it! If you are wanting a shutterfly book for the pages, there is a $10 off automatically if you buy by the 27th (tomorrow). Also if you have the code you can get 15% off too. I used both discounts on my disney book. The code is AF40-1908 and expires 3/4.

Six years ago today my Uncle passed away suddenly. While going through my Grandma's photo albums I found this photo of him when he was younger. The words on the page are from the card they handed out at the funeral that I saved.

That is a great heritage page. I have found that nobody seems interested in old family photos until they see what can be done with them. What a great thing to have.

I hate to old pictures in garage sales and on Ebay. I am such a sucker that I bought a bunch of old pictures -- not my family -- to keep them together as a set. My 8 year-old daughter loves history. She loves to write short stories about people who lived during the Civil War and early 1900s. Because these are not our treasured family photos, I let her go throught them to get story ideas or illustrate her stories.
