Digital Scrappers - Post pages here!!!

Ok I was smart this time, did it in Notepad! Here is a long list of sites that have challenges, I will add this to the Digital FAQ too. I'm sure there are tons more sites out there with challenges, but this should definately get you started. I normally do all the SOTB & Digitals challenges (I have CT duties at both sites, so I like to help promote the sites, plus the mega kits of bonuses is awesome!), I do a few at SBE & I do all 5 at DDD.

Scrap Outside the Box - has 19 challenges each month, the posting bonuses all coordinate with each other. One is a posting bonus that you need to sign up for, so do that one quickly! If you complete 12 challenges, you get a few bonus QPs.
Digitals - has 17 monthly challenges, with coordinating posting bonuses. Many of them have a few pieces that you need to download and use in the challenge, but you have to post that you want the pieces and it will be PMd to you, so do that soon. If you complete 12 challenges, you get another bonus kit.
Gotta Pixel - I've never done them.
Digital Divas Design (DDD) - has 5 monthly challenges. Each challenge you complete increases a percent off coupon in the store, 1 challenge is 10%, 5 is 50%. If you post layouts there, you have a decent chance of winning their layout of the day contest, which gives you a .50 cent gift certificate for each win and you can combine both during the next month. If you win LOTD 3 times, you get a gc for $1.50, so I look for items in the store for $3.00, use the 50% off and then that makes it $1.50 and use my gc so there is no cost.
Divine Digital - has a few weekly and monthly challenges with posting bonuses. They also have a daily challenge series with a theme, that gives freebies each day.
Scrapbook-Elements - has a few monthly and weekly challenges with posting bonuses.
The Scrapping Garden - has several challenges, I have never done them.
Digital Scrapbook Place (DSP) - has many challenges, some monthly, some weekly, some on weird schedules. Some have posting bonuses, some have random winners of kits, some have best LO wins a kit. They have a couple challenges with no bonus, so read carefully before you do them.
Digital Freebies - has challenges, but their site is down now, so I can't check them out, I have not done theirs before.
3 Scrapateers - has several challenges, I have never done them.
Go Digital Scrapbooking (GDS) - has several challenges, plus it's their 1st birthday til Sept 8th, so they have extra challenges and games and free stuff now til then.
Scrapbook Bytes - has several challenges, I've never done them.

I imagine that's quite enough to get you started!!

At SOTB you do not have to use their items for their challenges. They do have a DD in the forum each day (Mon-Sun for the same mini kit) and there are several mini kit freebies in the store.

As for the others, of the ones I have done, SBE likes you to use all their products and Digitals requires at least 3 Digitals items on your layout to get the posting bonus. You can't double up on challenges at the same site (ie do a layout that meets the requirements for more then 1 challenge at the same site), but you can combine requirements from different sites on the same LO. Yesterday I did a baby layout of Sam, using Digitals products (for my CT actually), used the sketch from the Digitals sketch challenge and added the quote from the SOTB quote challenge, so my LO did get used for 2 challenges. A few days ago I think I did one layout for 3 challenges, but I can't remember which atm, it was the end of August which seems eons ago!

Hi everyone.. I have a question?

Would anyone here be interested in a Disney create a kit swap?

Here is how it works? Each week to 10 days a disney theme would be created with suggested colors then anyone who wishes to join in would create papers, elements, kits, quick layouts, etc that match the theme. Items would have to be 300 dpi and .png so all could open and use. I suggest papers at 12 x 12 then others can resize. Items cannot be pirated from others kits, it must be your own creations

After you create, you zip up the files to a non-pay free service like 4Share.com email me a preview and the link and I will upload to a hidden website where only those sharing during that challenge would receive the web address. This page address would change with each challenge again so that only those sharing would have access.

I would then email all those who shared for the week with the address of the page so that everyone can swap with everyone else. Also the first person to submit an item would get to pick the disney theme the next week.

We did this once on another board (more broad themes) and it was awesome. I just thought it would be a neat way for everyone to learn their programs better, and we would all get more disney related items to use at the same time.

Hi Kelly - Great to see you posting here. I have been in lurk mode here myself. I have been busy doing challanges but nothing Disney related so I have not posted anything. I am off to WDW & a Disney Cruise next week so I will have pics to scrap when I come home so I will have 'new photos' to work with I would love to get involved with your swap though. I have not created much on my own but I am game to try... (can we use clip art???) I am off to send you an e-mail!!!!

Clipart should be fine to use since this is a share between ourselves with nothing to sell.

Fran - We are just going to be missing you. We are staying at SSR Thurs & Fri nights (this week 9/13 & 9/14) then Sat we will be sailing on the Disney Magic (Eastern) from 9/15-9/22 so we will be flying home just as you are arriving!!! We are also going back in January with the kids from 1/23 - 1/31 and staying at VWL. We aren't taking the kids on this cruise trip so I convinced me DH we have to go back to WDW to take the kids in January...

I think I will be up to my ears in Disney pics soon! In addition to this month's trip, we're planning to go next summer, either July or Aug, depends on when we get my step son and then again for bounce back free dining next sept. We're upgrading to APs after this trip so we may even sneak in a long weekend before next summer!! Getting very excited!

I would not often post things of this nature, but feel this is something really worth your time. It's a newscast about another form of breast cancer that is not detected with a mammogram and many women have hardening of the breast tissue and play it off (there is no lump w/ this cancer) and others are treated for bug bites..... It is not long but it could save yours or a loved ones life.....)

THanks so much for sharing that important information. I don't usually bother to click on links like this..... I usually just figure I am too busy to take the time and I move on. But today I felt compelled to watch the video and I am glad I did. My DM was diagnosed with BC about 4 years ago. She is recovering and well, but it certainly makes me more aware of my risks. I had never heard of IBC before today, but I will certainly be sharing this information with my female friends and relatives. Thanks again for caring enough for your fellow DIS ladies to take the time to share.......................P
