Natalie: Those are excellent! Way to go! Where did you find the Mickeys for the World Showcase. I've been looking everywhere for a British and French Mickey. Please share your source. :flower3:

Thanks,
I redrew them from pins from the international series. I scanned the drawings into my computer and added colors and textures.

Natalie -

Your pages just blow me away....they are sooooo fabulous!!!! You are so talented. If you ever decide to share anything you have created, please let me know. Everything you have posted is so increadable!!!!!!!

These are great, can you share where you got all the stuff for your pages, really really lovin the worldshowcase pages!!:thumbsup2

Thanks!

I created almost everything. I used some clip art from Microsoft. I drew a lot and scanned it into my computer. I was an art teacher in my former life (now I'm mom to 2 kiddos with autism.........no time for teaching). Digital scrapbooking has provided a creative outlet for me. I really appreciate all the great feedback. DH has no artistic appreciation whatsoever!!!!!

Hey everyone!

I was hoping for some ideas. I found this picture online and was going to scrap it up some to be a decoration for our door on our DCL cruise in October for our anniversary. I'm kind of stuck for ideas. Do you all have any ideas of a font or a font color?? I was may be thinking a gold font, but I'm not sure how to get gold yet and make it look shiney yet. One of my phrases I was working on is: 7 years of marriage, 10 years of Magic, A lifetime of Happily Ever After. But I think that might be too much to fit on this picture. Now I'm thinking for this one may be so this is love or a dream is a wish your heart makes. (I'm open for more suggestions here too) I think I want it to be great so much that my creative juices are now blocked.

Please help me get going!

I would do either a yellow or gray (silver) Walt Disney World font.... but that's just me..... :rolleyes1

First, make sure those pics are decent resolution before printing them. If you got the images off the web, they are probably 72dpi and will look horrible printed, so don't waste your time embellishing them. If they are higher dpi, like 300, then I would do some text on a path on the top pic with a phrase like "With a little faith, trust and pixie dust we made it to the Disney Magic/Wonder". And I would move the green Mickey to the corner, if you want people to spot your DIS HM, then it would be easier in the corner.

I don't get the "green Mickey" thing.... Have I missed something? I have heard about him for a while.... :upsidedow

Thank you so much................

There were over 100 pages in DD's photobook and 40 + in DS's. Maybe I could put together a dvd for you.

I'll post some more pages that I have finished.

Sorry everyone for all the posts... I should learn to start reading and not replying but I have a terrible memory and would probably forget to reply to something....:confused3

Anyway, Natalie.... outstanding! I bought a kit with just about as many pages as you have on Ebay and they are great but.... you have stuff that most would never have put together and just really neat. I would love to buy a "kit" from you.

She used www dot mediafire dot com (not sure if it's ok to post other sites....) to host the files and therefore didn't have to charge for a CD/shipping. Just an FYI.... she charged $6.99 for her full set and she's probably sold several. So, even though you put forth the effort for yourself, you could make a little spending money for your next trip....

Ok, well again, I think you did an outstanding job and I would love to purchase your set! Thank you for sharing!

Why yes you have!! And it's a very important secret too. Let me check for spies.......

The lime green Mickey head is how Disers know each other in public. The story goes that someone somewhere figured that no ones else would ever be using that glaring shade of green for anything else, so we could take it for the Dis and that way everyone would know each other. People, um, sort of "liberate" the lime green mickey heads from the Home Depot paint sample collection and make luggage tags and stroller tags and backpack tags. People on the cruise I'm going on are wearing matching lime green Mickey shirts so we can all know each other. I'm getting a button made because the t-shirt is just too much for me. And of course my door signs all have a little one somewhere.

So now you're in the club!

A few from DS's book...................

I love this one! So you're using the old I used to be an art teacher excuse for being so good, huh? I see how ya are.

Well, I for one would love to twist your arm into making up packages for sale. I can see it now, a World Showcase pack, a Princess pack.......

Oh, wait, I drifted off there for a sec! Honestly, I know you may not want to sell your things and see your creations coming and going, so no pressure. I'm not even sure what the rules are on selling Disney stuff like that. (even though I'd never tell ;) I hope you keep posting your LOs either way because they are a great inspiration!

Thanks!

DO you have a microsoft special program or do you get your clip art off searches? I could not find the cool stuff you have for WS.

Thanks!

Hi,

I too would be interested in purchasing layouts from you if you decide to go that route. I LOVE the world showcase ones and the Character Connection. Please add me to a list if you decide to sell some for extra money.

Thanks,
Bug

Yes, me too Natalie. No pressure... I,too, drifted off into Neverland and such. And I love your LO, so I agree.... keep posting if you don't want to do your own..... and thanks for the inspiration!

Cool! Maybe I'll make a stroller tag, but I already have all our stuff as far as clothing goes covered.... and I'm not a "button" wearer.... So the stroller tag is a GREAT idea!

Maybe I'll see some new "friends" there!:woohoo:

Here's a layout I did last night for my 2007 album. When I first saw the paper from Jessica Sprague (a freebie, I think), I thought it would work well since it was divided in four.

TFL!

DisneyParksMedium.jpg

Background paper is by Jessica Sprague. Elements are Ocean View by Misty Cato. The Mickey brad was made by using the "group with previous" option in PSE. I took a Mickey brad and a rusty element and combined them.

What a great idea about the mickey brad! I will definitly have to try that one tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip.:goodvibes
