I made this page (from our Mazatlan Port of Call) for the Scrap Olympics at SM with Zakirah's new kit, Shabby Cottage ... it's a really pretty kit.

I appreciate you posting with the new kits at Scrap Matters. I am terrible at choosing kits so it is nice to see LOs before buying.
I have been in a scrap slump. First I had trouble re-loading PSE to the new computer, but now I just don't have an excuse. It might help if I send DS and DD to visit my sister for the weekend!! I got off the topic -- really enjoy seeing your LOs!

Such beautiful LOs Melissa & Christy! Melissa, I LOVE the baseball LOs & the Buzz/Woody LOs make me want to go work on those LOs of my own now! Christy, that first LO is just so gorgeous, I love everything about it! If I haven't commented at SM yet on the other LOs, I will soon. BTW, at scrapmatters, my username is snowdrop (if I knew I was going to post at the DIS when I first signed up, I'd have used it here, too! Wish I could change my username.)

Here's an entry I did for the scraplift Telephone Game at scrapmatters, which so much fun! I was pretty far towards the end of the game, and my LO looks nothing like the first one, haha! Since the LOs have been revealed, I can finally post mine here!

Thanks Suzi... the way the new gallery is set up over at SM, each designer has a sub gallery where scrappers can add the pages they made with that designer's products... which makes in nice for seeing the designers' kits in action (and also for scraplifting! LOL!)....

Sorry about that. Somehow that saga wound up being posted in the links thread. But my latest on it goes something like this:

Am I the only one having trouble buying stuff from SM? I'm really sad about this, y'all. I've emailed them twice, Britt once just to see if she knows if their email is working. No response from anyone there. Then today I posted a question on the message board and someone said they would forward my question onto the right person. That was three hours ago. How weird is it no one will email me back or fix my cart? I have a ton of Britt's stuff, too, that I had ideas for and wanted to get started with. I just really wanted some kind of response. I started asking for help yesterday at 10:30 a.m. You would think someone would have at least acknowledged me by now. I hope I still get everything on sale and the pretty collab kit. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm complaining. It's stupid to let your feelings get hurt over something so trival. I know that. I guess I'll let it go another day and then issue a charge back on my credit card.

Lauren, have you tried emailing Britt using the addy for Show offs? I've got to believe they're not getting the messages because Britt always gets back to me no matter how trivial. Try here email. I left her a message at the new site and never heard back on day one. My guess is she never got it. I just know Britt wouldn't leave someone hanging, it's not her style.

I had problems too, so you're not alone! I kept getting corrupt files when I'd download.....but thankfully I've FINALLY gotten everything I bought and it's all downloaded and unzipped. so just hang in there....they'll work out the kinks eventually! in retrospect they probably should've held off on all the festivities until they had the site up and running, but that's just my 2 cents...

Lauren -- I'd e-mail Britt... I bet she would at least send you the links for her stuff... I know she has no control over the links at SM (or at least didn't at the previous site)... but she might be able to hook you up with her stuff that you bought while they are getting things resolved with your cart. That's a real bummer though -- one of the things I love about digi scrapping is the instant gratification.... And when I buy a kit, I want it NOW! LOL! I'm sure it'll get resolved, and I know they will stand by the sale prices and the collab offer for you..... So sorry though....

Thanks for the support everyone. There has been some forward movement. I've gotten the links to download the kit that you get if you spend enough money. However, they still haven't resolved and/or acknowledged my problem with buying what is in my cart. I've got four Britts and two Ellie Lash and a grab bag to try out a new person. I've re-emailed them again about this issue (that's four times plus one post on the message board.) I don't totally feel right downloading the free kit, except that according to my credit card and paypal I've paid for everything.

Wenrob: I did email Britt at her show offs addie. I know she must be busy, and it's probably nothing she deals with as a designer anyway. But I do have four of her things in there so I know she would like to get her money, too!

Neneer: I thought that same thing. I can see why just for the excitment and the fun you want to do it all together. As a business move though, it's just not working out. At least not for me.

Caitsmama: I should probably quit worrying about it and get on the TM anyway, right?

I just hate how this whole experience has soured my feelings about SM. As soon as they finally help me, I'm sure I'll get over it. Right this second the only reason I'm willing to get over it is because of Britt and her wonderful self and wonderful work. They just really need to fix this and soon.

I posted my credits at SM, but forgot to post them here.. my bad! the b/g paper and paint, and journal thing are all Ellie Lash (a freebie i think from somewhere) and the FUN word is from Dani Mogstad ( a freebie on her blog i think). The glitter is Lindsay Jane Designs (you guessed it, also a freebie.. can ya tell we are getting close to my vacation, and i need some $$!? ) LOL

Here is another from me for today - I promised myself i need to FINISH both my cruise, my 2007 november wdw trip, and my 2008 California trip before i leave in 3 weeks for the disney cruise!! Yikes!! Then, i still gotta do the trip from May to WDW! But, i figure if i at least get the 3 other trips done, then i will just have this upcoming cruise and the May 2008 trip to WDW, to finish before we go back to WDW for Thanksgiving.. whew!!!

This was done for a template challenge at SSD, for those not familiar with www.sweetshoppedesigns.com they have TONS of challenges over there every month, and you can earn points towards a percent off - i use to be very active there, but then i stopped.. but i LOVE their designers too, beautiful work! I am going to start posting more there to get that 40% discount!!

Well, Lauren, you're one up on me. I haven't gotten the links to the freebie collab kit from SM yet. I got the links for the things I bought and only had to re-download one because of a corrupt file, but I don't have the freebie kit yet. I figure I'll wait a little longer and see if it shows up. I hope you hear something soon.
