I honestly can't believe i scrapped this many today - quick pages are unbelievable! LOL They totally helped me get caught up.. i think i will do a few more of these tonight and finish up the mini album.
Then, i thought these if i made copies would make good Christmas gifts for my mom, sis, and mother in law! Then they can look back on it before we go again for a girls weekend in March!!
Only next time i will have pics with Lauren in them!! ;)

I have two that I did today. :) I wanted to do a layout for Britt's triathalon and the choose your ending challenge. Since the requirements for both were similar to what I had in mind I made a two page layout. The first page is for Britt's challenge and the second is for the choose your ending challenge. :)

A Royal Lunch

All girls are princesses - I took out the word "little" since I'm a little old to be called a "little" girl! LOL

Caitsmama: I totally love the idea of doing a mini album like you did. That'll make a great gift. Now I have to download all of that, too! I may be downloading forever at this point. :rotfl: Just think, next year it'll be you and me. My DH asked if I was going to train holding my DSLR camera so I could take it with me on the 1/2. Yeah, that's happening! :rotfl2:

Nah, i am sooo not bringing my camera on the run!! But, rest assured, there are plenty of race photographers out on the course!!! LOL I just can't wait to see what i look like on mile 1 vs mile 13!! LOL I know what i look like now after 3 miles, and it ain't pretty!!

Hi, here is my last lo for today.. this is for Britt's Go for the Gold challenge at SM.
Orange dust is by Kristin Cronin-Barrow, everything else is by Britt-ish Designs (High School never ends kit)

Here is another one that I finished today thanks to Britt sending me the butterfly from the Flea Market kit. :)

That LO came out perfect! I love the color swirls coming off her tires. So neat!

Melissa: Great LO. I love that butterfly. I think I'm going to use it on every LO from now on. It's just that cute.

:woohoo: :yay: I'm downloading as we speak!! Thanks Britt for getting me sorted out! :woohoo:
:yay:

I did this today for the "Choose Your Own Adventure" challenge at SM.

These pictures are from my daughter's wedding - again! I have a LOT of pictures, so that means I can do a lot of layouts. Hope you don't get bored. There was a little Disney theme to the wedding so I found a double frame with Bride and Groom, Minnie and Mickey, and I put pictures of my daughter and her husband as young children in it. I had to get a pic of him from his mom where he was about the same age as my daughter was in her picture. It sat on the place card table and all the guests loved it!

Pooh, we did the same thing at my wedding! We had a precious moments frame with both of us as babies in it - great lo!

Christy, love it of course!!! You are totally getting me pumped to go back on the DCL soon!!! You truly do great work!! :)

Christy needs to share her camera secrets! My photos of the shows never come out half so good. I'm jealous!

Hey lauren, i thought you had a DSLR?! What gives?! ;) I don't - i just have a really nice point and shoot, but i got some good show shots also - i used my ISO setting, to help shoot without the flash in the dark..

Here's my big secret ... are you ready?? I borrowed them off Flickr! LOL! I know -- totally cheating, but I wanted to capture the shows in a LO for DS to look back on .... He really enjoyed them.

For Britt's "go for the gold" I knew exactly which picture I wanted to use. I love this photo of my friend when she got off the plane after spending nearly 5 months in Scotland then two weeks in Germany with her parents. The postcards are scans of the actual postcards she sent my sister from Scotland. It was awesome to see her again and I knew she was beyond thrilled to finally be home.

Caitsmama: I do have a DSLR, but I'm new to it and still learning. Half the time I screw it up. I'll remember to give ISO priority this time though. Maybe that's the ticket. Do you change your metering to spot or focus to center weight or do anything like that??

Wenrob: I LOVE the count! That is a great LO.

Christy: Not cheating, just smart! Your kiddo will love the memory. That's all that matters.

Melissa: Great job! I love the ribbon on the bottom. I'm still not so good and winding things around things yet.

.

What brand of dSLR do you have? If it is a Canon, turn the dial to "P" mode, which is essentially the same as the full auto (green box) mode, but you can change some of the settings, including ISO. bump the ISO as high as your camera will go (mine goes to 1600) and try that for your low light shots to start. Also check what lens you are using and what the max f-stop is. When you start wanting to take more low light pictures, start shopping for an f2.8 lens. Buying an f2.8 lens and figuring out the ISO setting has made a world of difference in my night shooting!
