Is there anywhere onboard to upload the pics from my camera so that I don't have to worry about the number of pictures I'm taking on my memory card?

I didn't even think about it until my husband mentioned it the other day!

I don't know and since I don't want to bring my laptop, I am bringing 3 256 mg CF cards. I hope that will be enough..

You need to do what I do, buy a few 512mb CF cards. That just about get you through a 7-day cruise :)

Unless you bring your own method to store/download the pictures (laptop, etc.) there is no "DCL" way to do it that I am aware of. Make sure you have enough memory cards available and adjust the camera settings so the file sizes can be as small as possible without losing the desired reolution/size/quality.

I was just reviewing the stuff from our last cruise, and an ad for shutters, states that they will copy memory cards to cd's. It doesn't list a cost, just one of the services thay offer. Will find out more in April.

I just called the Disney Cruise Line and according to the Cast Member I spoke with Shutters only handles their own pictures. They do no process digital pictures for cruisers.

No, atigeg is right, I'm sure there were notices in the navigators saying that they'll burn the pics to a CD for you...I didn't take advantage of it as I had brought my laptop for that reason (well, that and to watch movies on the plane ride, which actually helped when our flight home was delayed and the kids were bored!).

You can actually see it on http://www.castawayclub.com, in the newest 7 day navigator, page 2 of the first day and also on page 4 of the "first day at sea". I'll remember this for next time!

On the 1/24 cruise, they processed all of my digital pictures for $.40 a print, which is much cheaper than I can get at home. I dropped my card off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and had it back by 5:00 on Thursday. I just started a new card when I dropped the other one off.

It was also nice being able to get off the airplane and show my in-laws all the pictures of the cruise.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I think I'll go buy another card just to be safe.

Thanks again!
