I just read on another thread where Buzz reported pool CMs have not heard of any closings to CSR pool. He is there right now.

correct, the lifeguards knew nothing of the pool closing but recommended calling recreation because they handle everything to do with all the WDW pools. I'm still asking though.

We were just there from Feb. 4-6th. And there was a notice on our desk in the room mentioning that the hottub was going to be closed for 2 days for rehab. No mention about the pool or playground.

On the phone with a CM that's telling me the Pool will be Resurfaced in March 08 and finished for the end of April 08.

That's cutting it close to my May 10th trip!

I'm wondering if I should just switch resorts. . . . With all of this conflicting info going around I'm afraid it will be closed when we get there.

Has anyone called recreation? How do we do this? I'm not aware of a recreation number.

I called to apply the Visa code to my ressie and the CM I spoke to gave me the option of switching my resort because the dig site pool will be resurfaced starting in March and finishing at the end of April. I'm hoping it's finished by the time we check in on April 27th.
I left my ressie as it is for now. I'm not sure what I will do. The Dig is the big reason my kids picked CSR over WL.
On a happier note, the code saved me $400.00.

So you were able to use the Visa code at CSR??? I was told on another thread that the only moderate it was good for was POR.

I can't imagine why Disney would want to do this rehab work during their peak time??? Seems like it would be something to plan during the off season.

I just called CRO to try to confirm, and the CM I spoke with said she is not seeing any CSR pool rehab on her schedule. She mentioned CBR, but said no work is scheduled for CSR. I wish we could get a definitive answer in time to change reservations if necessary. I wonder how joycepa's CM got the info - it seems that it would either be in the computer or not.

It will be a bad thing if the pool is closed during our trip!

I am going to call later to see about applying the Visa upgrades to my trip, so I will definitely ask about the pool and see what response I get. I tried to call a little bit ago but it said wait times were longer than usual and they recommended calling back after 1:00pm.

I don't understand how one CM could have the info and another couldn't.

SHelly - beats me... i called CSR directly and the lady there said she didn't see any rehabs planned but to call the reservations desk i guess because they would have more info on that....

I called reservations and he said nothing is on his schedule. He told me to call the resort directly, which I did and was told the same thing. I wish we didn't get so many conflicting answers. Just tell me YES or NO!!
