Dig Site rehab at CSR?

I just called reservations and was also told that they are not showing anything. We are going Apr. 26-May 4 and picked CSR because of the Dig Site for our 2 children. Hopefully it won't be closed!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you were able to use the Visa code at CSR??? I was told on another thread that the only moderate it was good for was POR.
Yes, it worked for CSR. I wasn't sure if it would but gave it try anyway and the CM told me it did apply.
:confused3
I'm alittle nervous though because she also told me about the pool resurfacing that noone else seems to know about.

I just called recreation and they said they knew nothing. They transferred me to guest services and they knew nothing either.

Sorry, no help here yet.

Thanks! Maybe no news is good news! I know the CBR rehab was announced WAY in advance, but it is closed for such a long time that they must have planned far in advance.

I also called (The Grand Gatherings #) as we're doing a group trip & stayign at the CSR. She couldn't find anything in her records stating such a thing. CBR was announced that it would be in rehab at least a couple months ago. I'd assume they'd do the same for any rehab projects, wouldn't they?

I know CBR was announced at least by last summer because we booked CSR in June and I worried it would fill quickly with people not wanting to stay at CBR. But it is an extensive rehab. All Ears just announced closure of the quiet pools at the Beach and Yacht Club. The Beach Club pool is closing March 31 for about two weeks and the Yacht Club pool is closing April 14 for a week. I hope Disney would give at least as much notice if they were shutting down a main pool for a month or two.

The GF pool was shut down for part of January and February and guests were allowed to use the Volcano Pool at the Poly. The Volcano Pool is now shut down, and guests can use the GF pool. The Boardwalk Inn pool is being resurfaced (it might be done already) and guests can use Stormalong Bay. Maybe there will be a provision made if the main pool at CSR closes, although it wouldn't be as convenient. POFQ's pool is closed until March 15 - that's a lot of pools already scheduled to be closed since CBR is closed. That would only leave POR as a mod main pool if CSR shuts down as well. That would be a lot of unhappy guests.

I spoke to a manager this evening and she call recreation and neither knew nothing about any pool rehab. I'll keep asking.

I called and got the Visa ticket upgrades applied to my CRS trip in May. :goodvibes We had only purchased the base tickets so we didn't get any money back, but now we are free to park hop/go to water parks, etc.

I of course asked about the pool. . . At first she said - yes, it is getting a rehab, let me check the dates for you. . . then said she couldn't find anything. . . then put me on hold for several minutes. . . then said - no, there is no pool rehab at CSR during your stay, the rehab is at CBR. :confused3

I sure don't understand. I would think all the CM's would be using the same computer system and all have the same info in front of them. . .

I am going to call later to see about applying the Visa upgrades to my trip, so I will definitely ask about the pool and see what response I get. I tried to call a little bit ago but it said wait times were longer than usual and they recommended calling back after 1:00pm.

I don't understand how one CM could have the info and another couldn't. :confused3

What's this Disney Visa code? We have a Disney Visa and would like to get some type of discount. I don't think Disney would be dumb enough to rehab 2 moderate resort pools at once.

You should have gotten an email from Chase about the Disney Visa codes. I think it was APW. The CM I talked to didn't even need the code because it was already in the system since I booked my trip using my Disney Visa.

I believe that Disney currently has 2 moderate pools under rehab - CBR & POFQ. . . . :confused3

where did you hear that??????? r u thinking about moving resorts...

I just called and was told that it will only be the slide that will be closed from the end of Mar til the beginning of April not the Pool.

I was just told that starting on 3/23 just the water slide will be closed. not the pool.

I agree with Buzz and frankiemom. I spent a few feverish hours on the phone yesterday with my travel agent and WDW checking and double checking. I was told yesterday by my TA and two different CMs that the Jaguar Slide will be closed from 3/31 until approximately 4/30, but the Dig Site Pool (they call it the Lost City of Cibola pool sometimes, too) WILL be open.

Man, I've said this a lot on these boards in the last 24 hours! Just trying to help, you know? :)

In the AllEars newsletter this week ~

"Coronado Springs Resort's Jaguar Pool Slide will be closed March 31 - April 18, 2008. The Lost City of Cibola Pool will remain open during this time."
