Different use years

Hi,
I have a question about owning 2 different use years. We have contracts in August and just purchased a June Use year from resale. I know that I will get a different member number. Does anyone know how this works with the web site? Will I have to get a separate log-in?

As long as the new June UY contract is titled in the same exact way as your August UY contract, they should both show up on the website. We have a large December UY contract and one small Aug contract. They are both accessible on the same login. There is a dropdown menu to toggle between the two on some of the pages. Unfortunately, you cannot do a transfer online; that has to be done by MS. We usually transfer our Aug points into the Dec UY so we can use them all together.

You get one transfer in or out per year. Since we use our points all together, it is just easier to move the small contract into the large. The one drawback is that you cannot "see" those transferred points once they are moves to the other contract, so you cannot use the when trying to book online. That can be a problem for a highly sought after room type.

The points from the second contract stay the same resort and UY. You'll need to call MS to make the transfer. And when you want to use the transferred points, you need to call MS to do that, too. You also need to be careful with your transfer because you can't borrow the points your transfer; you can bank them though.

So if you transfer from Aug to June for a trip in June, you would have to borrow the points. And you can't do that. But if you transfer from June to August, you have until May 30 to use the points.
