Hi everyone- now that we're on our 6th trip in 5 years and our touring style is starting to change, can you recommend some non park activities that are still on Disney property? For example, we've never done Splitsville. All of our time has been at the parks or lounging by the pool. Thank you!

On our AK day we are leaving the park at or before noon. We are taking the bus to Fort Wilderness for lunch at Trail's End and then going kayaking. We will then take the trail (nice trail through pines, adjacent to the lake) to WL and bus back to our resort. We also like the mini golf by the Swan, we can walk there since we are staying at BWV, if not walking distance for you take the bus to HS and walk along the canal (or take the boat) to the Swan.

Down town Disney is fun, a lot of shopping and food choices. Rent a boat and see some water views of the area. Go horse back riding, mini golf courses, and the boardwalk area is fun.

As regular guests at Board Walk we enjoy the evenings there, jugglers, magicians etc and people watching from the Belle Vue Lounge porch with Bloody Mary in hand. A surrey bike ride around the lake is nice if it's not too crowded. If you enjoy an adult beverage a Drink Around the Monorail with a stop at each resort is nice once MK has been toured.

When you say non-park activities I'm wasn't sure if you're including water parks, but if not those are a great way to spend the day away from the theme parks. Resort Hopping is fun! Animal Kingdom Lodge...you can check out the animals in the viewing areas. POR, FW, & CS are some great resorts to take a nice scenic stroll. Monorail Loop is good for shopping, dining/snacking, and cocktails!

I agree with this. My Mum and I went horseback riding at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch at the Wilderness Campgrounds and we had a great time! It was just a slow trail ride through the woods. The guides were really friendly and funny, and the horses were very calm and patient with new riders. I'll always remember my horse who they called Minnie Moose because she was so big! It's definitely an experience I'll always remember at Disney.
