Different GoG songs...totally random?

I must be the luckiest person in the world—five rides, five songs. September was my first and is my favorite. Only missing I Ran.

Yes pretty lucky. That would happen around 1.5% of the time. Yes, i'm a total math/odds nerd

OP, thank you for this thread! We were wondering the same thing! In January, I got Conga, by Miami Sound Machine. For the three times we rode it in March, we got I Ran by Flock of Seagulls twice, and Disco Inferno by The Trammps once.

For the record, it's my new fav ride, but I get nauseous each time I ride it. It takes me about 30 minutes to feel normal again after I ride it. Totally worth it!

Been on it 6 times and have heard 4 songs. I like how, depending on the song, gives the ride a different groove. Riding with "Everybody wants to rule the world" feels totally different than "Disco Inferno". September is my favorite though.

Wow. The odds of getting the same one 4 out of 5 times is roughly 1 in 260. (0.39%) So that's pretty unlucky.

Back in January I got disco inferno in 4 out of 5 rides.

I’ve yet to hear Disco Inferno or September. I have heard Conga the most.

Funny how there’s such a range in people’s favorites. I Ran is easily my fav yet many say it’s their least favorite. I didn’t think September was great yet most love it.

Has anyone confirmed whether the songs are actually played randomly or sequentially? It seems as if this could be determined by having six people in six consecutive launches communicate the song they heard, which seems like a job for a blogger or YouTuber.

It's my favorite too! Although, I've only heard September, I Ran and Conga in my, I think, 5 rides.

We did the D23 Preview Event so were able to ride as many times as we wanted. We did it three times, but I think we should have done it more now! September was the one I thought would be my favorite, and I got it on my 1st ride and I was very happy. But at the end of the night, we got I Ran, and I thought it worked very well through the whole ride, while September works well in the 1st half, but IMO, less well in the 2nd half. I've taken 2 trips since the preview and duplicated I Ran and September. I would like to hear the ones I haven't had yet (Disco Inferno, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and One Way or Another). But if I got September or I Ran again, I wouldn't be disappointed.

I really really want Rule the World but I think I saw that the holiday overlay is the only option during Christmas? Now I'm sad. We got the week of Thanksgiving.

FWIW we were there in EPCOT and rode twice on Thanksgiving, it was the regular playlist that day, when we went back to EPCOT on the first day of Festival of the Holidays it switched to the holiday overlay.

I’ve never heard the Holiday version but literally 99% of people seem to think it sucked so they really should scrap it this yr.
