Difference betwen Cat 11 & 12?

Why is a Cat. 11 slightly more expensive? Is it the size of the stateroom? Personally, I prefer the inside state room which is why I'll book the lower category. Makes it easier for my kids to sleep. Just curious as to why the difference in cost.

Cat 11 is usually on deck 6, 7 or 8. Cat 12 is on deck 1 or 2.

Cat 11 and 12's are the same size room. It's the location that makes them different. Cat 11's are located throughout the ship on decks 5,6 and 7. The cat 12's are located on deck 2 forward.

It's more than just the deck...the 12s are under the nightclubs, i.e. they have more noise potential overhead.

Some Cat. 11 will hold 4 people. Cat. 12 will not hold more than 3.

Hmm....I thought when we went back in July that we booked a Cat. 12. We were on deck 6, though, so maybe it was a Cat. 11.
