Difference between All-Stars?

Theming and bus route stop aside, is there really much difference between which All-Star you stay at? Does what stop you are on the bus stop really make that much of a difference, especially during peak times (because there are usually dedicated resort busses during peak times, right?)?

We stayed at Movies last month, over a weekend, and they did not have dedicated buses in the morning. They would pull up half full. Apparently this isn't the norm, but it was very annoying to say the least.

We plan to stay at ASSp again later this summer. The resort rooms are undergoing refurbishment, new carpet, beds, bedding, paint etc. There is no difference between the resorts. We go between all three for food and pin trading. Even the CMs work all three resorts. I prefer the layout of Music because the rooms are a straight walk back once you exit the poolside doors. ASMo layout seems confusing to me, no clear cut path. And after staying at ASSp last November, the resort layout didn't seem as confusing as I thought it would be. Everything seemed relatively close to the lobby. For me, bussing is part of the adventure. You never know if it will show up with people on it. When I've stayed at ASMu, you never know if you will be turning right to go to ASMo or will you turn left and head directly to the park. It's always a bonus when you turn left.:thumbsup2

We have a car and avoid the bus like the plague so I'm no help there.

That said we have stayed at all 3.

We prefer Music for several reasons

- it usually gets a better discount (RO) than Movies (Movies usually only has around a 5% room only discount whereas Sports and Music have the 'full' value discount - roughly 15 or 20%)

- Music is in the middle so easy to hop to either of the others for food / shopping or pool. Before anyone loses their mind the All Stars resorts allow pool hopping between them - they are sister resorts.

- The staff at Music has always been wonderful. Yes, you will find some CMs work at all 3 resorts - I suspect they shift some around if necessary but generally you'll find the same folks day to day at their main resort.

- food court seems (to us) to be better than Sports

- stayed at Sports once - it was nice until the cheerleaders and band members showed up one Friday - OMG so glad that was our last night there. We all vowed never to stay there again. There have been cheerleaders etc at Music as well but Sports appeared to be "the" party spot for all of them to gather - nuff said!
