can you tell me the difference please. is it just the split bath? Notice one is classed as "deluxe" room - 10a - both inside - thank you

Yes. The split bath makes the 10 a Deluxe room, and also makes the room slightly bigger than the 11.

On the existing ships, there are some Cat 11 rooms that sit sideways, that give the room a slightly different layout that many prefer because it seems roomier.

On the Dream, both will have the Virtual Portholes.

More than "just" a split bath IMO. On the Magic & Wonder a Cat 11 is 184 SF and a Cat 10 is 214 SF. On the Dream, a Cat 11 will only be 169 SF and a Cat 10 will be 204 SF. (IMO the split bath is worth every cent as is every single SF you can get....) The other difference would be location on the ship.

i'd rather be in a cat 11 on deck 7 than a cat 10 on deck 2.

The split bath drives me nuts and deck 2 (aft) was VERY noisy at times of docking where the whole room vibrates

it would be a cat 11 on either deck 6 or deck 7

or

cat 10 on deck 5

The Cat 10's on deck 5 if they are available are what are known as the "secret porthole" or SPH cabins!! They are actually obstructed view portholes so they're a super bargain as they're sold as inside cabins. We always try to book either 5020 or 5520 'cuz we get a window for an inside cabin price. :thumbsup2 I really don't know why fitnessmouse doesn't like the split bath configuration.:confused3 The cabins are larger and personally, I can't stand to be in a room without a split bath. I despise hotel rooms & such that don't offer that convenience and that's one reason I don't like the studios at OKW. I love that one person can be showering and another can be using the toilet or getting ready in the other half. Being able to have 2 people getting ready at once is a super bonus IMHO.

5020 is wonderful. Had it last summer and it was great! A Cat 10 on Deck 5 is definitely the best of your options.

how can i check if a certain stateroom is available without actually booking please? :flower3::flower3:

I did this! Go through the process of picking a sail date. Then on the left select "Stateroom". Under "Stateroom 1" it will say "Stateroom Number Not selected +Select". A new overlay will show. There will be an option to enter a stateroom number in a textbox. Hit save. If it shows your room number is the one you entered, you now have that. If it shows a different number, the room number you entered had been taken and it assigned you a new number close to the one you wanted. Make sense?

Also, let me note this...

My fiancee and I were going through the process of checking to see if certain staterooms were available. We entered one we really wanted and then another after that. When we went back to enter the one we really wanted, it didn't give it to us. I finally realized why.

When your select your own stateroom number and hit save, the website holds that stateroom number for you. It takes it and "reserves" that so when you are in the process of booking, no one else can take it. We had to wait upwards to 20-30 minutes until the stateroom number we originally tried was released back to the website.

So be careful if you are "trying" different stateroom numbers.
