Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

The website is up! It's pretty basic but I imagine it'd warp into something more as we get closer to the cruise. If any of you want to add your photo to the roll call or any other info, send it to my email:

Wow, that site is fantastic Connie. THANK YOU!!!
:worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

Let me go through my pics and see if I can find a family one and I will send it to you.

Should we start talking now about some Meets onboard?

:lovestruc I second the WOW!!! It's great! :thumbsup2

Travelbee - I just e-mailed you a pic from our '08 cruise...funny that I can't find anything more current...yet. ;)

Thanks for setting up the website, Connie - it looks great! :thanks:

It's nice to be able to start putting faces to names. But I just realized I don't have any recent photos of the 3 of us so I'll have to get to work on that. :)

I agree, thanks for setting up the site. But you have Manzanillo listed twice, and no Mazatlan.
And I have a question: Is Pirate Night standard on all the cruises? Do you bring your own costumes?

You're welcome! It gives me something "cruise related" to do so I don't obsessed over planning another vacation. I showed it to Sean (DH) and his computer geekiness took over and insisted on making "enhancements". So check out the new page of "maps" that he added.

Kristi, Dany & Sandy - your roll call photos are up on the website.

The itinerary is fixed. Thanks for pointing it out. Pirate Night is usually different based on the itinerary. Our cruise may be different from the other MR too because it's a 10-day instead of 7-day. In the past DD has dressed up for pirate night but her lame parents usually just put on a bandana.

Since we are the only 10nt MR cruise...do you think we can find out ahead of time which nights are pirate/fireworks, captain's gala, formal, casual ect? I am pretty sure from the boards that we need our KTTW card with the dining rotation on it to know when we have our character breakfast.

We just wear pirate-y T-shirts, but some folks do come in full costume.

Thanks, Connie! Nice seeing all of you :goodvibes

We'll be able to call DCL a few months out and ask them when all the special nights are; hopefully they can tell us before the reservations open for Palo, etc.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 That's exactly why I'd like to know now. The only things will be making Palo Brunch ressies and praying it's not the same day as the character breakfast.

Hey, one more question...I know we can request for a specific dining rotation and they might concider it. What are the actual rotations? I have read they can have 2 consecutive night at the same place. Or is that only on the 3/4 day cruises? :confused3

Since we are spending Easter on this trip, will there be an Easter Egg Hunt? Easter Services? A Sunrise Service on deck would be fabulous.

OooHhh YEAH...an egg hunt would be fun for the kiddos! Haven't decided if I'll have the Easter Bunny deliver to the ship or ask him to have it waiting at home. :confused3 We board on Palm Sunday so no services, we'll be in Mazatlan on Easter Sunday. I bet we'll see some type of celebration in Mazatlan.

Hey TRAVELBEE, I see you are my neighbor (Lakewood), are you going to the 55th party at Disneyland next Saturday? I've been looking forward to it all year.

Hi Everyone! Can you please explain what the dining rotation is. I had no idea there was a character meal!! How fun! This is all so fun to read about and plan! Thanks! Vicki

Vicki - Not sure what the rotation will be for this cruise, but since there are 3 dining rooms and each night you will rotate to a different room. Your table # and table Servers will be the same through out the cruise. Each night has a different theme. I can only speak about previous cruises... but you will end up in the same dining room multiple times, but the theming will be different. There will be 3 different rotations.

The Character meal will most likely be breakfast only and it is determined by the rotation you are in. Character meals are traditionally only done on at Sea days.

:scared1: I forgot about this. OMG.. Not sure how we are going to deal with this and what to tell the Easter Bunny. :confused3 Keep the ideas coming on that, because I probably need to figure out something.

I might have to bring a stashof Easter Eggs with me, to hide in our stateroom, in case the Bunny is a no-show. Will we know ahead of time if there will be an egg hunt onboard?

I was hoping the same thing. However, from researching past Easters onboard it does not look like they do an egg hunt or anything special. I think people did say they had an Easter service onboard. I should post and see if the ships did anything special this past Easter.

Hi Vicki,

DCL has rotational dining which is fun. They have 3 main dining rooms: Parrot Cay (an island theme), Animators Palate (disney animation theme), and Tritons (King Triton from Little Mermaid them). You are assigned a dining rotation, where each night you have dinner in a different restaurant. You are assigned a table #, and servers, which remain with you at all 3 restaurants. Your KTTW card will have your table # and your rotational schedule to follow on it.

On 7 night or longer cruises they have a character breakfast assigned to you, on a sea day. Ours was in Parrot Cay. Again you go to the same table # and you have your same servers. All the characters come in and go to each table for a visit and photos. It is very cute. No need to sign up for this, it is assigned to everyone as part of your cruise package.

Each restaurant is very different and fun in its own way. PC is island and casual, AP is very cool with lots of Disney art and they do a cute dinner show one night, and Tritons is more formal and elegant.

Hope this helps.

This is what I was planning on doing. Bringing eggs and doing our own hunt in the stateroom.

Thanks for the info on the dinners!! Too fun!!

I don't think we have ever been home for Easter! We are usually at Disneyworld. Some things that the Easter Bunny has done has been bring a cute Disney cup or mug full of a Disney chocolates or suckers...Bring a new Disney stuffed animal.. Disney gift card or the gift shops at the resort have the special helpers to make baskets. We also have had our own Easter Egg hunt in the room . The baskets are always hidden somewhere in the room.

This gives me lots of new ideas for FE. I hope we have a solid kid count for FE in plenty of time.
