I just got a voice message that our Beach Break at Cabo was cancelled. Now, two of the three excursions have been cancelled. Not a big deal, but would like to take the kids off the ship to swim at least once or twice!!!

Michelle...we'd LOVE to link dinner ressies. As long as there are no expecta- tions or hard feelings if we bail, the kids act up, or whatever! I'm usually pretty easy going, and want this to be a great trip, whatever adaptations may need to be made! Lilie just turned five last month, is very friendly, and I'm sure she'd love to have another princess to hang out with! We're also not very "formal". The kids know that the #1 rule of this trip is dinner behavior, and that they need to dress nice for dinner, but we'll see if they remember that once on board!!!! Emilie, who has not worn a dress for years, has even agreed to wear a dress every night at dinner!!!

I am getting so excited!!!!

I would think the change in fees is due to the change in ports. If we paid before the itinerary change...we should get a refund or OBC if Cabo is cheaper. I vote for OBC.

I'm hoping my sister will drive us down early that morning. Otherwise, perhaps a cab or something. I think it would end being pricey leaving the car at the port. What are your plans?

Hey, I like your name Disname! We are hoping someone (friends/family) cab drop us off at the port and we'd probably take a cab home. I'd think a cab is cheaper than parking a car at the port for 10 days!

For our 10-NT MR cruise, I just noticed the taxes and fees decreased. I'm not sure when this happened. so, I called Disney and was informed that if I made my final payment at the higher rate of tax and fees, then a refund will NOT be given. Does this sound legitimate? So it's almost like getting penalized for paying early in some cases. Any thoughts?

SSung - Are you new (just booked) or did I missed your post a while back? Would you like to be added to the roll call? I can access the Disboard on my phone but can't post and sometimes I can't remember if I responded to something I've read earlier or not. It's tough getting old...

If we go with the lanyards, would they be personalized with our DIS name? DH and DS wouldn't want to wear my name around their neck. I was thinking that we would just have our group name on it . Any thoughts on this?

For my local friends, I think we'll probalby ask my older DD or Grandma to drop us off at the port (or my neighbor with the shuttle) No sense in paying to park the car for 10 days when we are so close.

For the med, each person was given their own badge with their name on it but underneath their names, we'd have the Disboard name of the family. So in my case, under Sean's name it'd say (Travelbee). He thinks it's a hoot that he's always known as Travelbee's DH on all our cruises.

Cayla gave me a link to a site that is a little cheaper http://www.wrist-band.com/ I am going to see if they will allow the DCL logo or a Mickey head on a band. This site does not have S/M/L sizes they have adult & youth. So that might be easier. Following is the list I have so far of who would like bands:

Hmmm, that doesn't sound right. I noticed the same thing and called DCL right away. We paid early too, fyi, and i was told that our credit card would be credited for that amount ($50.32 in our case). I haven't checked to see if that credit has hit yet, but that's what i was told.

Hi Susiesark, I initiated my refund. Although I have read on another post in the forum that Disney will refund sooner or later...sometime even after the cruise. So I think if you can initiate it now, you might see the refund sooner. Just a heads up, some CM doesn't know how to do the refund. I called 2X regarding this matter and only the second CM properly helped me.

The lanyard will have each person's name and then the Disname underneath. It's really neat because you can associate the entire family. The thing with mine was that I actually used my first and last name originally as my Disname so it was just a ackward. If you look at Travelbee's website under polls you will see the sample lanyards.

Which reminds me, don't forget to vote for your favorite if you haven't done so.

I'm sort of new to the board. I've just recently logged on but have been hearing and reading your threads for a while. Most of you probably know or have read posts from my Darling Disney Hubby, Virdis. Since we are less than 10 weeks away I decided it would be a good idea to finally introduce myself and step out from husband's shadow. I can't tell you how excited I am to be going on this trip and getting the chance to meet all of you.

Yeah, I know that my dh wouldn't want to walk around with a lanyard that says 'TNShellBelle' lol. I think I am going to opt out of the lanyard and just go with the wristbands. When is the cut off to order again?

not yet - most likely not for another couple of weeks. Relax...it isn't a big deal, they will post them. I personally am glad they are taking so long...maybe a free upgrade?
