I'm sort of new to the board. I've just recently logged on but have been hearing and reading your threads for a while. Most of you probably know or have read posts from my Darling Disney Hubby, Virdis. Since we are less than 10 weeks away I decided it would be a good idea to finally introduce myself and step out from husband's shadow. I can't tell you how excited I am to be going on this trip and getting the chance to meet all of you.

I have lost track of my FE lists...I am on three cruises b2b2b and can't seem to keep the FE lists organized...

Who is doing the FE list on this thread? Do we have any kind of a count yet on number of participants?

I am still awaiting my cabin assignment so I am a gty as of now.

Yes, we plan to hand out the lanyards at the dis meet. Should only be a couple of dollars for the lanyard but we will have a total as we get a little closer.

I am traveling alone with my 7 and 5 year old daughters. I am an older, single parent. Our last few cruises we had linked with a group of DISers we had met on our first cruise. We don't know anyone yet on this cruise. My kids are not the best behaved in restaurants, so I'm thinking about skipping the dining rooms all together. But I don't want to loose out for myself!!! Maybe if we were other families with like aged kids, I could get them to buy into the dining experience? My 7 year old is a total tomboy, and my 5 year old is a little princess. We have early dining. Any one else with not perfectly behaved children want to join us???

Okay, I want to see if anyone else would like to order wrist bands. Cayla gave me a link to a site that is a little cheaper http://www.wrist-band.com/ I am going to see if they will allow the DCL logo or a Mickey head on a band. This site does not have S/M/L sizes they have adult & youth. So that might be easier. Following is the list I have so far of who would like bands:

I remember earlier that you suggested splitting the list in half. Is that still a consideration or will we be exchanging with the entire list?? Also do we exchange gifts just one night or over several nights during the cruise. As you can tell I'm new to the FE, but it has adding another layer of excitement to the cruise.

How do you stay so calm...this part drives me nutz too!! So does the longer they take really mean an upgrade?? That could help! Are you doing a gty on all 3 cruises? If you are, you really have a lot of patiences to stay so calm.

The way I do it...I pick one night and spend it running the decks (barefoot is usually better, since I got blisters on the Dream!)

One gift per person/extender (depends on what the gift is of course). One delivery per cruise.

Does that help? I personally don't want to split the list...but I also just did 84 FE's on the Dream - it took 2.5 hrs to deliver them all!!! Some folks did a deck a day to deliver...I just did it all at once.

umm - I have done a whole bunch of cruises...no, the longer it takes doesn't always mean upgrades...it just means they are balancing the ship. They have to figure the weights...meaning the number of people on each side of the ship. I have sailed with a TBA as a roomie...that is unnerving

Calm isn't a big deal - I am on the ship...does it really matter where? I know since I am an 11b....I will be down low (I don't like that at all), but as long as I have a cabin I am happy.

The second two cruises I am sailing with a friend, and the gty status is from his reservation...he will deal with it. I have to change rooms between the 10day and the repo cruise, but not between the repo and the Alaska.

The room stewards will just pull the drawers from the one cabin and bring a pole cart to move all the hangers. It is easy and happens really fast! The hardest part is shifting all the door decorations!

no worries...it will all come together. I already have my clothes pulled and in another room waiting to be packed...my bigger issue is I am having construction done at home - I sleep during the day usually - can't right now due to construction. Tired just doesn't describe it!

Isn't that the truth!! Just part of the excitement for me. This is our 2nd time doing a gty. Our first was on the very first cruise and when your a cruise newbie it just seemed much easier...and having a child is another concern too. Sometimes after dinner you need to get back to the room for them to change before the club. Here's wishing you a little pixie dust on your room.

Haven't gotten as far as pulling the clothes yet. Hope you get some rest...the B2B2B would be the perfect time to have construction done if you have a good contractor.

Thanks Cayla, got you added, you are set. I have added everyone to the wristband list who has posted here. Patricia, changed yours to 3.

When we order 100, which we will, we get 100 free So, there will be plenty to go around for more people who join the meet or want wrist bands. I will calculate what is owed as we get into March. If you want them mailed to you, I will add shipping. Otherwise, I can hand them out at the port, at a meet, from my stateroom. Pretty much anywhere onboard.

The lanyard will have each person's name and then the Disname underneath. It's really neat because you can associate the entire family. The thing with mine was that I actually used my first and last name originally as my Disname so it was just a ackward. If you look at Travelbee's website under polls you will see the sample lanyards.

Which reminds me, don't forget to vote for your favorite if you haven't done so.

A couple of months back we decided to split the list in half. You can decide to be on one list, to make it more manageable and less stressful for some. Or you can decide to be on both lists. This should make everyone happy. Some people want a small list, some want a large. I will leave it up to the participants. My family will be on both

Ann-Marie, from what I have read, usually people deliver their gifts once during the cruise. Pick a a couple of hours you have free and walk the halls delivering gifts. I have learned that other boards do FE's also. So don't just walk around placing gifts in all the FE's you see. I have also read to zip-tie your FE to the fish. This will help protect your FE from leaving your stateroom.

She said it was the BEST. They had lots of great gifts from DCL. Can we expect goodies, too? And a concert by Susan Egan (Belle, from Beauty and the Beast) Now I really, really want to go on a PC! Hot today, rain on the way.
