Kristi....you guys will be happy. All of the SPH rooms I've seen on the boards are very cool and the fact you have connecting SPH rooms on deck 5 is just awesome. I wish were were in the same area as you guys.

Anyway, I guess we may never know unless you talk to someone at DCL that does this whole process. All I hope is that the "madness" finds of us on this meet to get upgraded.

I agree, I am very happy with the connecting SPH rooms. I was so excited when I snagged those Nov. 2009. I just got all messed up when they offered the KSF promo. I was/am bitter that I have to pay for 2 of my kids as adults. I went back and forth to change or not and then I ultimately decided to keep what I have since we booked onboard we have a nice OBC and the 10% off.

I also am curious about their method to their madness of doing the comp. upgrades and such.

I do have to say that I am very happy that our cruise is not full. It is nice that there is a possibility of upgrades and the ship will not be uncomfortably crowded. I was worried when they offered the KSF promo that the ship would sell out and the kids clubs would be insane. Since my youngest is only a couple of weeks short of 3, I cannot preregister him in the OC, I have to wait until we get to the ship. I have read on the boards it will not be a problem since he is fully potty trained, however if the OC club was full he would not be able to move up. I am a little nervous about that, however, I have not read one story were someones child was not able to move up because the club was too full.

BTW - there was quite a bit of chat about packing. Am I the only one who is ecstatic that I don't have to worry about overweight bags and bag fees? I'm even thinking about bringing my own pillow since for the first time, I don't have to fly to get to the ship!

I am also ecstatic about not having to fly and being able to pack as much as we like. I am a pretty light packer, however with kids, luggage always seems to quadruple. I don't need to worry about leaving FE's behind or shoving them into a bag. I am planning on bringing a duffel bag just for them.

I'm wondering if anyone has perfectly behaved children at meals, and if so, could they share their secret with me?

My kids are definitely NOT on the well behaved list at meals. We struggle every night at dinner with my 2 boys. They are up and down, messing around , just bad table manners all together. We really are trying to teach them how not to behave like animals at the table. Thank goodness for the dine n play option for late dining. They will be able to eat their meals and then go to the clubs. Thank you in advance to Virdis and his wonderful family for agreeing to put up with us at dinner

3. We need transportation from LAX to port. Since we have 2 little ones, they need carseats. Have you guys found any transportation that provides carseats? If so, which ones? I heard the vans don't require carseats? not sure about that... has anyone ever done that?

3. Once back to LA, usually get off at 930, do we go thru customs or anything? What time should I tell transportation to pick us up?

I have been looking at transportation also and haven't found anyone who provides car seats. I went ahead and bought a 2nd portable car seat to use. We already have one that we used in a taxi in the past. I can't see us trying to lug around large car seats when we will only need them from port to LAX so we will take the small ones. We are going to use a private car service and I think have them pick us up at 10:00. Our flight isn't until the afternoon so no rush. .

My neighbor has a car service. Not sure if he has car seats in the shuttle van, but if not, I can see if he can use 2 of our own seats for you to use. Then he can drop them back off at our house. We have lots of seats here (I plan to have my DD 6 in them as long as possible).

I have been trying for weeks to figure out how to change my user name. I really didn't know what the Disboards were about when I first signed on and just used my full name. Now that I've been working on the lanyards I just wanted to change it. It seemed the only thing to do was to start over again which I was bummed about. The thing is if I kept waiting it was just going to make it worse. So it's not a big change but at least my DH won't have to walk around with my name on his lanyard.

Oh - I'm way excited about that! Packing for the Med cruise was a bit stressful. Now, it's going to be much easier. The pillow idea is a good one as that was one of my few complaints on the last cruise.

I'm not sure when this happened. so, I called Disney and was informed that if I made my final payment at the higher rate of tax and fees, then a refund will NOT be given. Does this sound legitimate? So it's almost like getting penalized for paying early in some cases. Any thoughts?

What...that's cheesy!!!! I remember when we took our first MR cruise in 2005, after we got back, perhaps a month later, we got a check from DCL for like $50. It was because port fees decreased. So, to answer your question, no that does not sound legit at all. How much are we talking?

Hi LiserAnn, it's for exactly $50.40. It's not much, but $50 is still $50... if it is rightfully mine, then I really want it back. I'm going to try to call them again, maybe another representative can do something different. I hope others on this cruise do not have to deal with this

That would be me! DD 6 IS perfectly behaved (so far...) in restaurants and at meals (you'll see). But it's nothing we've done, we were blessed. So if you want to sit with us, we're late dining.

I don't know yet - but thanks for the reminder to get something planned! I think we'll either be dropped off or will take a supershuttle. What are you planning to do? And I'm thinking of arranging to be there about 10am? That may be a bit early but since vacation starts once we are at the port, then I want to get there as early as possible!

Thanks for mentioning this - thanks to you, I went and looked at our reservation and what we paid for taxes/fees vs. what I would pay for the same cruise now. I too found that that the taxes/fees are lower now than when we paid (by $50.32). I called about 30 minutes ago and was told that it would be adjusted and the amount credited back to my credit card. If we go with the lanyards, would they be personalized with our DIS name? DH and DS wouldn't want to wear my name around their neck. I was thinking that we would just have our group name on it . Any thoughts on this?

For my local friends, I think we'll probalby ask my older DD or Grandma to drop us off at the port (or my neighbor with the shuttle) No sense in paying to park the car for 10 days when we are so close.

Cayla gave me a link to a site that is a little cheaper http://www.wrist-band.com/ I am going to see if they will allow the DCL logo or a Mickey head on a band. This site does not have S/M/L sizes they have adult & youth. So that might be easier. Following is the list I have so far of who would like bands:
