I want to convey my welcomes to all of our new members as well. MunkyMe13, Redwingfan3991, and Mysticpath. We sincerely hope that you can find encouragement, motivation and helpful tips and advice here with us. We have a GREAT bunch of people that has tried a lot, learned a lot and experienced a lot. We have several members that have lost more than 50 pounds and we also have several that have changed their look and outlook so much that even their closest friends don't recognize them. That isn't always a bad thing either. I was the one that grew up eating all of the junk food, sweets and sodas all day, everyday. I would never put anything on my plate that even looked healthy. Now, I hardly ever drink a soda and if I do, it's diet. No fried foods anymore. I have lost the taste for them. My one vice is certain sweets. I absolutely love chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. But when I eat them, I can eat the whole package of cookies or half of the container of ice cream. So I have combat that by not getting it while I am at the store. Now, that doesn't mean that I never "splurge". It is actually good to let go every once in a while. What is important is to be reasonable. Don't over do it. OK. Enough "preaching". I look forward to learning more about all of you and hope that we can help.Update I had a good week last week at the gym. I went there Monday-Thursday without fail. Friday, my body just hurt so I stayed home. Saturday and Sunday was bitterly cold here and I never got out of the house. So, I got off my backside and got back into the gym tonight. I did a solid shoulder workout and then another 30 minutes of cardio. I think if I have kept up with my math correctly, I have went over 100 miles at the gym on the cardio machines already this year. If not, I am getting close.
I hope all of you realize what I already have. Everyone of us are WINNERS!! We have made a conscience decision to live a healthier lifestyle. This is not just a fly by night fling for a New Years Resolution. This is what we have decided to do to better ourselves and our lives. Let's make this a great week, month and year. It is up to us! Let's make it happen!!
Thank you all!
I wanted to say a quick Thank You! to all of you that ever come onto this board to post, learn, seek help or encouragement. Yesterday we were able to reach a milestone that I often didn't think that we would be able to reach. We went over 1,000 posts. The success that we have had as a group is tremendous and I am thrilled to be here in association with every single one of you. There is nobody on this planet as good as "Disney" people. We are one of a kind. Again, I thank you for our success. May it continue helping and reaching anyone that feels like they need assistance.
