Dieting for Disney

Ahhhh...BUBBA! I knew I would get the PROPER answer from YOU!!! :goodvibes !!! Let me start by saying...that would just totally blow people's mind IF in this stage in all our lives of constant dieting to tell all of us NOW in an article such as that one that we NEED to exercise for 90 minutes is exactly CRAP! NOT HAPPENING. And I hope people reading that anywhere in this world of ours does NOT "throw the towel in" (so to speak) on their daily struggles with weight loss because they cannot commit to 90 minutes a day. I am telling you when I read that article I thought FIRST I need to ASK BUBBA because man o man that is an enormous CHUNK of time and secondly I do not BELIEVE IT! SO thank you Bubba for your answer, an answer that I LOVE (QUALITY)!!!

P.S. Your opinion on SHERBET? Yes, no, a little, !!!! :goodvibes

P.P.S. Love the Thanksgiving challenge-idea!!!! :yay:

:dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3:

 ! Have a good day everyone!!!

I just wanted to send a quick note wishing everyone a great weekend! I've been crazy busy this week so my food wasn't as great as it could have been and I shudder at all the diet coke I've been drinking (instead of water!!), but I'm brushing myself off and starting anew today!

Here's to a fun, healthy weekend for all. We can do it!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hello everyone! Long Time no see!!!
I've been reading your post and bring some memories...of me last year...trying to loose some weight. Fortunatly, I did it! I lost 43lbs!!! It was a 7 months process. Sometimes good, sometimes disapointing (especially when you stuck on the same weight for several weeks) but the getting to the end, acomplishing my goal, felt Amaizing.

No matter what, Keep the good work!!!!

Bubba - your words are always inspiring. Thanks!!!!

Ok Gang: Off to the great state of Maine now for Dad's 80th birthday. Pray that I keep my focus. So far today I have been telling myself not to stress out and succumb to all those treats that will be around all weekend long. I will walk the beach, attempt to play some golf, throw around the frisbee..anything and everything I can to stay ACTIVE for 4 days away from my usual routine. It always happens to me when I am not in my routine, old habits seem to "get in my way"....ugh....

Anyway, I wish everyone a fab weekend. :goodvibes

 Karen

Hello All-
I've been a bit busy with school starting and all. Just want to check in and let you know that I've been keeping on task with all my challenges: exercise everyday (check) drink 3-4 liters water daily (check) vitamin (mostly check) and I met my exercise goal for August with 7 days still remaining :woohoo: . All of this paying attention to myself, and what's good and healthy for ME is really paying off. I've now lost 24 pounds :woohoo: (19 since joining WISH) since starting my "new" healthy life on July 12, and still have 31 pounds to go before reaching my 55 lb goal. (hopefully by Disney trip in Dec) I know the scale is an evil creature, but as you probably know I am addicted to it (and my goal for sept is to only weigh myself once per week). But the real results of all this work is that clothes are fitting so much better (or not at all, I'll probably have to purge a few things from the closet next weekend)
I'll come back tomorrow to see how everyone else is doing, I've got to work today :sad1: (it's my summer job, they still need to have vacations covered, oh well more funds for more Disney FUN!)

Wow, sounds like a lot of people having success with healthy lifestyles and weight loss. Way to go! :cheer2: It really is inspiring to hear. I'm hoping to get back to the club this week. I've taken a L-O-N-G break. Bubba...good for you for no sweets for a month. I don't know if I could do it.

New and subscribing…support greatly needed.

In January I decided it was time to change my “food lifestyle.” I went of all pop and drank solely water, walked a mile every morning, and ate healthier resulting in a loss of 40 pounds, just in time for my April trip. :) Just before leaving I became very ill ( severe lung issues) and this lead to 15 days antibiotics- not so bad, but 30 days of steroids… :confused3 My doc recommended that I stay home and near him. NO WAY!! DH, Dmom, DBIL were all going also so I figured I had plenty of people to watch over me and took the plunge. We had a great time and the trip was fabulous. DH had to go for a work conference so hotel was free… Unfortunately due to the steroids I gained 10 pounds back in 3 days and continued to gain, by the time I returned home I gained back all I had lost!!!! :furious: Do I even need to say how much I hate steroids??? I have been feeling back to normal for about a month now and have decided I need to try to get the weight off again. I felt so much better, physically and emotionally. The good news is that I have stayed off the pop!!!! But I need to stark exercising and eating healthier again. I figured this was a great place to start. :cheer2:

Princess Sparkle P - :welcome:

You sound like me! I have severe asthma and had sinus infections for 7 months last year. I was on steroids, antibiotics, and inhaled steroids. I gained weight as well. I know the frustration. You know in your heart it's due to the steroids, but you are starving. I completely understand. Actually, I think there are quite a few of us here in the same boat!

Sounds like you are off to a good start. Stay off the pop, keep walking. Soon you'll feel like you are able to extend the mile into 2 miles and then 3. Keep it up and you will see results.

Since you've now joined us - keep in touch. We're all in this together! :grouphug:

Bubba - Thanks for asking about school. It's going well. I've got a great group of kids and my team is wonderful. Let me know if you have any questions about your son heading to middle school. Different states do vary slightly, but teacher jargon can be tough to really understand. I know the ADHD can be tough at home, but it's do-able.

Aren't the fried turkeys incredible??!! As far as sweet potatoes, mine convert people: Whipped fluffy, orange juice, cinnamon, sugar (this year Splenda), butter (duh), Southern Comfort (The secret ingredient!) topped with pecans and brown sugar. Oh my goodness. I just realized my mouth is watering! How pathetic.

As far as the treats, I've been eating probably 3 a week. I just don't want to get into the habit, you know?

Hope everyone has a good week!

Hey everyone! It is great to hear from all of you to see how you are all doing. First and foremost, let me welcome PrincessSparkle :welcome: We are extremely happy to have you here and hope that you find it both encouraging and informative. We are all family here and all in the same boat. We all want a healthier lifestyle. Again, welcome and feel free to ask anything that you may have questions about.

SilverAngel What a great picture!! You look AWESOME! Your success is so inspiring to all of us here. We have missed you but as you know, you are welcomed anytime you want to pop in.

AlaskaMom :woohoo: :woohoo: :Pinkbounc  :cool1: :thumbsup2 I am so proud of you. 24 pounds of weight loss is an amazing amount of success. You have been such a steady performer ever since you joined our family. Congratulations and I wish you unlimited amounts of success.

BlestMom We all take those breaks from time to time. As long as they don't turn into a permanent break, everything will be ok. This has happen to me for most of the summer. Because of the lack of help at work, I have been averaging 1 day a week. This is from a guy that usually averages 4 or 5 days a week. Times will get easier. Don't get down. Keep your head up and get back at it. You have our full support.

Teacher31 The recipe sounds good but I have to be honest, there is nothing in or on a sweet potato that would make me want to eat one. I do have somewhat a "picky" pallet and that is just one of the items that I can't eat. (Another one is tomatoes. My Dad thinks I am un-American for that one.)
It's great that you have a great group of kids this year. I actually had a meeting with my DS's teachers on Friday. We didn't get everything settled. Actually, I found our that whoever does his IDP labled him as having Autism as well as ADHD. My question was, "Why didn't anyone tell me this?"! First I heard of it. Well, we are going to have more meetings and try to do more studies to find out what is going on. If you would, say a prayer for us.

Guess what!! I have an update on ME!! Scary, isn't it?? I am trying to set up a trip for us for next month. I don't know if we are going to go to the Mountains or to the Beach but after the last 2 months I have had at work, I have to get away. What does this mean? I am BACK on the diet scene. I haven't been able to really put on the size like I wanted too due to not being able to get to the gym as often as needed but I have put on a little bit of weight. So I have made a challenge with my DW for the both of us to lose 10 pounds before we leave. She has agreed so hopefully it will be good for her as well. So I am back on the cardio trail. So let's do it together once again.

This month is ending in just a few days. I have been able to stay on my challenge. I really wanted to cheat tonight and have some ice cream because it was so muggy outside but I refrained from doing so. Now I can tell you on September 1, I am going to "cheat" on that day. But on September 2, I am going to be going on one of the strictest diets I have ever been on. I am going to forget all about trying to get big. My focus is going to be on getting as lean and as tight as I can. Wish me luck as I also WISH the same for all of you!! Have a great weekend! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi all! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Silverangel - wow! Congratulations on the weightloss. You look wonderful!! Thanks for dropping by and motivating us to know that it IS possible! Did you do an online journal? I'd love to read more about your story.

Princess Sparkle - Welcome!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: You've come to one of the best places for support and encouragement. We're all trying to live healthier lifestyles together. It helps that we're a little family here and your successes are OUR successes. Please keep us posted on how you're doing!!

Momrek - I hope you're having a great trip!!! I'm not sure when you'll be back, but I just wanted to send you a shout out! :wave2:

AlaskaMOM - Way to go on the weightloss!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Absolutely fantastic!!!!! I have no doubts that you'll reach your goal. Congrats on your exercise this month. You must feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment!!

Teacher - Glad to hear you've got a good group of students this year! Your sweet potato recipe sounds wonderful!! Could you post (or PM) the full recipe? I made sweet potatoes on the bbq for a party a few weeks ago and I really did a lousy job. I'd like to give sweet potatoes another try though! Thanks!

Bubba - You've done so amazingly well knocking off the sweets for a month. Inspirational really! How exciting to have a trip to plan for! Best wishes to you and dw for trying to lose a few pounds together. Sharing in the challenge can be so motivating for both of you. Dear friends of ours are now trying to lose weight and they're doing it together. We're thrilled to hear it since they're about 100lbs overweight. They continue to talk about how much it helps being accountable to each other. Best wishes and positive thoughts being sent your way!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: You can do it!!!

My weekend was a good one. My goal for September is to really work on my simple carbs consumption. I only eat whole grain bread already, but I do still eat frozen yogurt, low-fat fudgicles, etc... I'm going to give it a whirl while maintaining my exercise routine and hopefully increasing the intensity. I'm down 5lbs from when I first stood on the scale (two weeks ago I guess?) so that's a good thing. My inches haven't changed in 2 weeks however. I want to be in my size 10 summer dress by our trip at the end of September!!!!

Hope everyone has a great week! :goodvibes :sunny:

Hey Everyone :wave2: ! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing this week! I had a wonderful time in Maine at Dad's :bday: 80th. Despite the fact my mom had THREE :cake: cakes going all weekend long..I did have a piece BUT only ONE TIME on the party Sat night and a SLIVER...really just a speck of a piece of cake. I was so good eating tons of fruit and fruit salad staying away from so many of the treats. My mom had so many appetizers from chips and dip to cheese and crackers and I had ZERO. I sat there with a nice ripe banana..I am dead serious. I did not need to sit there pigging out on all of that...something I used to do so frequently. We walked the beach, :beach: played a round of golf, threw the frisbee :duck: around and just tried to keep moving. It can be so hard when you are out of your routine and on a diet BUT I will tell you I survived. I came home proud of myself and not angry like so many other times after a weekend away.
DH and DS are finally at the University of Glasgow :teacher: in Scotland. Classes started today and DH feels really good about all the walking he has done while away. I reminded him that when he gets back Sunday, he will be RE-joining me at the track. I can put my IPOD away and listen to all of DH's travel stories.

It is almost the middle of the week and then another Holiday weekend is upon us. I am doing nothing. I will balance the business checkbook this weekend as I await DH's return late Sunday night. So no evil cookouts await me. I don't mean all cookouts are evil...only to me as I have a real issue with trying to "be good" and hence for me they are "evil"...!!! Actually, at this point, I think ERNESTO the storm is headed to the Northeast for a weekend full of nasty rain :umbrella: ...! UGH!

Bubba: Let us know your NEW diet and all the secrets that go to it and Teacher: the Thanksgiving Challenge are we all UP for that...what are the rules on that challenge??? Silverangel: CONGRATULATIONS!!! You look awesome!!! Sparkle: Welcome :welcome: to the BEST Thread on the WISH Board!!! You will be glad you found us and we will love hearing from you!! CJK: How is your CARB'S going this week? Seems to me that there is CARBS in absolutely everything in this WORLD that I like to eat and MORE than I even want. UGH. We need to do a Carbs Challenge...maybe after our Turkey Challenge!!!! AlaskaMom: You ROCK!!! Keep up the fabulous work!!!

Well everyone, have a good rest of the week and a wonderful holiday weekend!!!

:dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay:

Here it is the last day of the month! How have we been doing on our challenges? As honest as I can be, I have stayed true to my challenge. I haven't had any sweets all month. Now, on Friday, I am going to go to Chick-fil-a to get one of their new milkshakes and then I am going to be extremely hardcore about my food intake for the next month. It looks like I am going to be going to the beach with my parents and my family in the middle of October. Also, for some more good news. It looks as if by next week, I will have a full staff at work in my department so I will be able to get back on my schedule both at work and the gym. Plus, my DW is changing jobs and will be moving into a full time day job so she will be at home during the nights to help the kids with their homework so I can put more focus on training. I am expecting to make some real BIG strides in my physique in the next 4 to 6 weeks. I am getting excited about it again.
As far as what I am going to be eating, it is going to be primarily grilled meats and vegetables. Other than my protein shakes, that will be it. I will be training my abs at least 4 days a week and maybe more. I will doing cardio everyday that I am at the gym. I am going to see how much of this "fat tissue" that I still have can I still loose!! I will post often (even though my trip is not for Disney) to let you know how my progress is going. I am stil having some serious problems with my knee but I will not let this stop me from doing my cardio. I will just have to be careful with what I do. Typically, my knee is fine unless I squat down or after sitting down, when I stand up, it hurts then too. I am really excited though and I can't wait.

Good evening all-
I've kind of been neglecting this thread, and spending what little DIS time on posting my exercise times everyday, and then scurrying off to something else pulling on my time. It sounds as if everyone has been plugging along.

Bubba I think that a trip for just you and DW is an awesome idea. Also the idea of working togehter towards a goal, WOW, I'm so happy for you, I know these are the kind of special things that you remember for a long time. Way to go on controlling the ice cream cravings!!!, I know those can be some of the worst! So what flavor you gonna have on Friday? Don't tell us you haven't already planned what you sweet treat you're having. Congrats on a long, hard, sweets-free month!!!
CJK I have to commend you on a job WELL DONE, you have constantly been motivating me to do my exercise. (probably unbeknownst to you) Everyday I would get on to post my minutes and would see your post(s) and how well you were doing.... I just had to keep going! Just a tip for you (maybe) you mentioned having fat-free fudgsicles, have you tried the no sugar added kind? They are a life-saver to me when I get a hankering for a little sweet or chocolatey sump'n-sump'n.
momrek06- So glad to hear that your visit went so well. It's amazing how you withstood all that pressure: cakes! appetizers! goodies galore!! and you ate a banana  It's also exciting to hear about your family, what an awesome trip for DS and DH, oh what stories you're in for.
Silverangel- I know you've been told this countless times......but YOU LOOK AMAZING! What an inspiration you are to so many. I bet it's a lot more fun shopping for clothes now!
Bletsmom- nice to meet you, break the l-o-n-g break and come on back, the more the merrier!
and Welcome princess sparkle hope to see you around here, as you've probably noticed this is an awesome group of people. Who are so incredibly supportive, and inspirational.

As for me: I've been so busy (doing nothing much). My road on South Beach is going good, I have been past phase 1 (induction) for a number of weeks, but I'm having a hard time allowing the carbs back in (maybe that's why I'm losing faster than normal). I guess I'm suppose to be adding more in but I can't seem to add more than 2-3 servings of carbs (good carbs). I have just one more day for my Aug challenges, and I have succeeded in 2 out of 3. I still need lots of work on remembering to take my vitamin (about once a week I'd forget). And I already have my Sept challenges for myself: 1) weigh in once per week (Tuesdays) and stay away from the scale at all other times! 2) remember vitamin every day 3) exercise 1200 min total with 5-6 days per week and 1-2 days rest. I think I've gotten a little long winded.....
Have a GREAT DAY! :sunny:

Hello Everyone!
It's so glad to always count on you. Thanks!!! You are all amaizing!!! Princess Sparkle :welcome: to (quoting momrek06) The BEST DIS THREAD!!! Here you'll find a bunch of amaizing people!!!!!!

momrek06: What an excellet job you've done!!! You resisted the temptation :rotfl: ...A Family Party!!! My first one was Thanksgiving last year. So you can imagine the pressure!! I arrived to my grandpa's house with my sacle and all my measure cups, to make sure I had my protions well. It's hard to resist sometimes, but how great the feeling when you do it!!! Don't you think?? :cheer2: Congrats!!!! :cheer2: Keep the excellent work!!! :cheer2:

CJK: I had a mini journal, in Msn-Spaces, Fairy's Lair. They were small entries written after my weekly nutritionist appointments. All are invited to read it if you want. You can start from October 2005. I know I'll see that size-10-dress photo when you get from your trip. I know you can do it!!! :cheer2:

bubba73: Thanks for this thread. It is always so good to know that there are other people out there with the same worries than you! Thanks for being always so supportive. I'm glad to be back and I hope that I can help everyone with my example!!! I missed you all too!!

AlaskaMom: You bet! I like to shop now! :rotfl2: I think I'm more in touch with my femenine side. :rotfl: I like to joke that it was hidden under those 43lbs that I loose!!! :rotfl: About the carbs, I know what you mean. It's hard to add "food" when your body already is used to less!!!. And yes! I forgot my vitamins too :lmao: I don't know why!!! I tried every location in my home to remember: near my keys, my coffee maker, my purse, the fridge...but there are days I forgot... :lmao: About your goals, I think you are doing alright! Small goals are "easy" and less overwhelming. You've been doing so good so far, I know you'll reach your goal!!! :cheer2:

This is my 4th month keeping my weight (136lbs). It's feel so good to know I can keep this new lifestyle. I reach my first Exercise Challange. And I'm waiting for the September!!! I'm so glad to be back here and I hope I can help you to get to your goals. You are doing so well. I'm pround to be part of this wonderful thread, filled with such wonderful people!!!!!

Have a Nice Dieting!!!!

It's exciting to read how everyone is doing.

Silverangel: You look great! That's wonderful, how much you've lost. What an accomplishment! It's inspirational... :thumbsup2

Alaskamom: Those sound like good goals, and that you have been doing well. I'm cheering you on! :cheer2:

Bubba...I really am in awe of you staying away from chocolate for a month.
Hey, enjoy that milkshake! I hope your knee feels better, and good luck to you with the training.

momrek06...I'm proud of you! Those get-together things can be the hardest. You did a great job with not giving in, and just having a banana. Way to go! I think the dancing banana is appropriate for you (*wink*)

CJK...5 lbs in two weeks. That is fantastic! :)

For me, I was finally able to get started back at the club this week (yeah!) Besides getting back into the swing of classes, it was so wonderful to see old friends again. That's a huge motivator right there. Everyone is so nice, and accepting.

My challenges have been going well. I really like stopping eating when satisfied. I am better at making sure to eat a good breakfast. My next goal is no sweets (the only sweet I like is chocolate!) for a week. I'm not ready for a whole month. My other big challenge, and I've been putting this one off, but it is time, is to STOP late night snacking. Every night, I read aloud to the kids, then we watch an old tv show on DVD. NO MORE SNACKING for me. I know I'm sabotaging the good I've done during the day. It's hard, though. My boys, especially, very active in sports and eat non-stop, eat right in front of me, and so often I give in. Non-caffeine herbal tea is what is going to help me get through. So...that is my big long MONTH challenge...and it starts TONIGHT. Wish me luck...

Oh, and Bubba...I know you're busy, but I had some exercise questions for you, while I'm trying to put together a good schedule at the club. There is a 60 minute step class 5 days a week. They're my favorite...they're fun. I think after warm-up and cool-down it is 35 minutes straight cardio. I will also do a powerflex weight class Tuesday and Thursday (that one is tough, for me anyway). I always try to come up with an excuse not to go, but my son is challenging me. I also do the circuit thing 3 days a week, because it is quick (I alternate days so I don't work the same muscles 2 days in a row). The only other thing I do when I have down time is walk on the treadmill, but I don't schedule that, it's just when I have free time to fill up waiting for someone. Does that sound like a good plan? Is that too much weights? That was pretty much my schedule in the spring. It sounds like a lot, but it really only is fillng time while my kids are at sports or dance lessons. I'd rather be at the gym than walking around the store!

I have a few more weeks left until we go to Disney, and although i'm at my "goal" for Disney, I am trying to continue to push forward. I've been on Atkins for 2 months now and the results are going well. Am I tired of the food? YES..lol. Oh well. Gotta keep thinking that it's all for a good cause and Disney is an extra added bonus!

Today has been really hard..i think it's been the hardest day since i started the diet. I'm not sure why, stress, "time" of the month :sad2: etc. I didnt "cheat" but i really wanted too.
Maybe tomorrow will be better....

I love to hear all of your stories and read about your progress. :grouphug:

The month of August is now officially over. All I can say is that I am very impressed by all of the posts and the successes that everyone has had this past month. You have all done such an awesome job!! :woohoo: :woohoo:   I can't begin to tell all of you how proud, excited and encouraged by all of you I am right now. I don't even know where to begin.

Gina - :welcome: We are so happy to have you join our family. The fact that you have already met the goal that you had set for yourself and you still have a couple of weeks to go is fantastic. If I read correctly, you have already lost 36 pounds. That is phenominal!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I have to be honest and say that I am not a personal fan of Atkins but it seems to be working for you and that is all that matters. As far as wanting to cheat today, that is very understandable. We all go through that (all of the time). But I want to remind you of one important fact. You can stay faithful to your program and lose soem extra weight, then that will give you more room to be a little free while on your vacation. Anyway, I want to give you plenty of pixiedust: to give you the strength and courage to stay focused during these last few days. I also want to say that I am very jealous that you are about to head to my favorite spot. Please ride Soarin for me.

Blestmom - I am going to try to answer your question about your routine. It sounds like you are doing a lot of classes. that can be good and bad. It is good because you have people around to keep you accountable and motivated. It is bad because of what might happen if you can't make it to the class. When that happens, do you still go to the gym to exercise or do just skip it? The circuit training is an awesome workout. I have talked to some of the ladies at the gym that I believe are in the "best" shape trying to get some tips from them. (I did this since everyone here except me are females. I figure I needed to have that perspective so I could be more helpful.) What I have found out from just about all of them is the same thing. They typically do the same kind of workout and they do it in 45 minutes. They start off with a 10 minute warmup on the treadmill. Afterwards, they will go and superset the weights. (This process is doing one exercise right after another without stopping. It doesn't have to be for the same body part. Just keep moving. Example would be to workout biceps and triceps together.) They do this for 20 minutes. Then, they go to do another 15 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical or even the stairmaster. But this is a high intensity workout that keeps you moving, keeps your heart rate up and keeps the calories burning. Did that answer your question or did I just throw another piece in the puzzle?

SilverAngel - You ARE definitely an inspiration to all of us here and I appreciate your very kind words. But I have to say that even though I started the thread, I took the idea from something that someone else did last year. Also, this thread wouldn't still be around if it wasn't for every single one of you. So I thank you for wanting to join and post successes and trials. That's what really makes this thread as motivating, informative and encouraging as it is. It's not me. It's all of you!

CJK - Congratulations on your 5 pound weight loss. What does that bring your total to? You have always been very strong and dedicated that I can't say that I am surprised. What is really exciting about it is that you (as well as all of us) are learning how to be dedicated to ourselves. To quote a made for TV movie, "Together, we have learned to love learning!" We are learning how to be healthy and to take care of ourselves. That's exciting!

Momrek - :woohoo:  I get so excited everytime I read one of your posts. No matter what is going on with you, it is always so uplifting. And now, with your success with the family get together, I am even more motivated. Thank you for sharing! On a side note, I pray for you and your family while they are away hoping that they will have a safe trip and so your DH will be back home with you soon.

OK everyone! It's late and I actually have work to do. You have all made me very excited and I have a very postive outlook for all of us for the month of September. Have a great day!! :grouphug: :woohoo: :grouphug: :cool1:

Hello Everyone!!!

Gina - :welcome: Congrats on reaching your goal!!!! And yeah....the "Cheating Bug" attacks when you reach your goal. But as bubba said you have to stay faithful to the diet, that willlet you enjoy more your vacation.

Blestmom - :thumbsup2 Good luck on your goals...I know it's possible. Remember we are here if you think you are going to fail! :teeth: :wizard: :cheer2:

Thanks to all for the nice words about my weight loss, but remember...THIS COULD BE YOU! So, keep the good work...I'm hoping to see your before-after photos...soon :woohoo:

:cheer2: Happy Dieting!!! :cheer2:

Bubba,
Thanks...that helped a LOT! I don't know why, but I never thought of doing the treadmill, then the weights, then the treadmill again. Great suggestion! I'm going to try that next week...I'll let you know how it goes. My schedule at the gym is dictated by my kids' schedules. When they have something "in town," then I go to the gym. We live "in the country," half an hour out of town, so my time at the gym is whenever I'm waiting for the kids. It worked out great with the class times. I'm hoping that will be the case this year, too. I still go to the gym if I can't make the classes, but I think they are a blast! I love the circuit. I'm still trying to get the hang of the different machines...treadmill, eliptical, stairstepper. Thanks for the help.
