Wow! You guys are amazing! I applaud you all for such great work.
I haven't been able to post much lately, partly because there wasn't much to share. I was fighting allergies and a cold with cough so bad that I wasn't able to do much of any excersing for most of two weeks. So while I have not lost any extra weight or inches, I must say that I am proud of myself because I did not gain anything either!
I am getting hard and down on myself though because I am down to 3 weeks before we leave for our Disney vacation, and I still can only fit into 1 pair of shorts. Well, I guess that's not entirely true. I can fit comfortably in 1 pair of shorts. There are 2 others that I can button, but that's it! Don't ask me to do much of anything while wearing them. So, I am really trying to figure out how to quickly lose the icky weight around my midsection. I really can't afford new clothes, especially when I don't want to buy "fat clothes" -- I really want a "skinny" shopping spree!
Blessings to you all and keep up the good work! You are so encouraging!

BRIDAL SHOWER. I was very good. I met a good friend of mine who sat with us who is also training with Colleen at our gym and we BOTH were very aware of what To eat and what NOT to eat. She is hoping to run in the DANSKIN TRIATHALON next year 2007. It comes to OUR town every year the last Sunday in July. My house is on the ROUTE and every year we give out water to all the runners. I said I would love to but am not in shape to do a triathalon. My son's gf is in NJ right now as she is running a 26.2 marathon in Long Branch.
Here are some
We are so thrilled that you have come to join our little support / self-help group. If I am not mistaken, you are the first vegetarian that has joined us. Just curious. Are you a pure vegan or do eat some meat products every once in a while? I have a co-worker who is a vegetarian but does eat some meat when the urge may hit her. She has been on a diet for a little while also and told me the other day that she has lost 40 pounds. I know she has been going to the gym and doing cardio but I don't know how she has changed her diet. I will be happy to ask her to see if I can get anything from her as far as her success. I am not too familiar with this kind of diet. I am a carnivore, sorry. It seems like you already know what you need to do (with your background and all). Now, all you need is the motivation to do it. You are right. 15 pounds isn't much at all and it can be lost rather quickly. My first suggestions would be to just start walking to get your heart rate up. A lot of trainers, fitness models and bodybuilders really like power walking for 30 minutes or so at least 3-4 days a week. Also, I would say start off slow as far as changing your eating habits. Try to cut 250-300 calories out of your diet a day. I am pretty sure you will start to see some results faster than you think.
so much for all the kind words...you make me
