Dieting for Disney

Thekidsmom said:
Well Tuesdays are my weekly weigh in. As of today I am 166 lbs, so I have gained 2 lbs. But I refuse to beat myself up about it. I cheated alot over the holiday, just had a good time with my family. It was worth it, I needed to just let go of everything for a while. I got back on the Healthy Change of Lifestyle wagon yesturday. I ate right and got back to using my food diary. I did my eliptical for 20 minutes which is down from 30 min. but that is not bad. I did my bowflex for 30 minutes and did my free weight training.
For the first time in a long time I feel good, I have my focus back, and know what I want from myself and what I want out of life. I am taking the steps I need to achieve my goals, and it feels good.
While I may have slowed down on loosing pounds, I know the shape of my body is changing. More and more people are telling me how good I look and I have went from a size 20 to a size 14. I am trying to only weigh myself once a week, and I am not measuring myself because I tend to get to caught up in numbers. I would rather go by the way I feel and how my clothes are fitting.
I feel so much better about going out and trying new things. Not being afraid of the way I look or am I too big to do something. I went to busch gardens with my kids last week and without hesitation I got on all the rides with them. I would never have done that before. I know I will never go back to being afraid and hiding behind all the weight!

WAY TO GO!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:
Reading your post made such a huge difference in the way I look at today. I was so happy to read about your drive and successes with weight loss. I think everyone needs to "let go" and live a little, the key is getting back on track which you've already done.

Your weight loss to this point is just AWESOME and I'm so so Happy for you!! I am with you on the numbers thing. Although it's nearly impossible for me to stay off the scale, I also am going more by the way I feel. You are so right about how you look and feel, that should be the driving force behind all this hard work. I mean, we all want to be healthier but looking better is right up there. I could care less if I'm a size 18 as long as I look like I want to and feel comfortable in my own skin. Your post has really kind of drove that home with me today, and thanks so much for your comments!

As for me, I am off to the gym here shortly, no swimming today, just gym so I am going to work extra hard. I cannot tell you how you ALL help me so much and inspire me to be the best that I can be, thank you!!! :wave2:

I did it, I bought myself the SugarFree Jello! I did not buy the ones you make I opted (lazy) to get the ones in the refridge section of the store and LOVE them. EASY & EASY :thumbsup2 Pull one out and pull off the lid and there you go and as I enjoy it I remind myself I AM BEING GOOD!!! I get empowered abit by that, yup, I do. Love all the tips ALL OF THEM!!!

I'm Glad!! I buy the already-made ones too. (Guilty of laziness :teeth: ).

Lionqueen: Thanks :goodvibes ...I'm glad that there helping...and to hear that you are doing ok...

bubba: THANKS FOR YOUR WORDS!!!! :goodvibes .....They are always inspirational, and made me remember the day i couldn't take it anymore. The day I desided to stop feeling sorry for me, for the way i looked. The day I chose that being healthy was more important that all the money expend in the "nutricionist". I call it my "Reborn Day". :lmao: ...Thanks for being there for all of us.

I've been doing well this week. I was sick the last week (upset stomach :crazy2: ) but I'm WELL AGAIN!!! Ready to hit the GYM again! :yay:

Today's Tip: Eat your snacks. Every good diet includes 3 snacks. One in the morning (10am?), one in the afternoon (3pm) and one in the evening (9pm). Each one shouldn't excedes 100 cal and should be from these groups: one Fruit, one from Milk (yogurt, milk) and one from grains. It recomended that you don't repeat a snack from the same group daily. My typical snack schedule is:
10am - Fruit snack ( banana, apple, pineapple bits, etc)
3pm - Coffe break ( Cafe Latte - 2% milk and Splenda sugar), yogurt, 4oz of milk
9pm - 100 cal Nabisco Snack, Special K or granola bar, Soda crackers

Snacks help control your urges to eat and keep your methabolisim running regulary which is good to burn calories and fat...Like the snack fairy says: "SNACK HAPPY!" :wizard:

HAPPY DIETING EVERYONE!!!!!! BIG HUG

Good morning all, hope everyone is doing well and having a great week so far.

I was down all afternoon and night yesterday w/ a sore throat that would not quit! Good news about that is I only ate lunch yesterday, my throat hurt too much to eat anything else :rotfl2: I feel much better this morning and am planning my workout and swimming.

SilverAngel..so glad to hear from you and to look at your beautiful weight loss ticker. I just love looking at it, and hoping one day mine will be as glorious!! Thanks for the GREAT tips and inspiration.

Pluto's Honey - Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! When you finally hit double digits it is such an accomplishment!

Sounds like all of us are rejuvenated from Easter and are happily back on the healthy lifestyle track. Hope we all stick with it to reach our goals. Have a great week!

Hello everyone! I am the new kid on the block- so to speak.I just joined WISH today and am looking forward to all of your encouragement. I have been struggling with my weight for a long time. Last year I went to Curves and lost 37 pounds. I stopped going because after awhile I hit a plateau and got discouraged. So this year I have joined Ladies Workout Expres (they are like Curves but more intense!) Because of having bronchitis and my knee acting up I stopped going. But now I am back on track. I have exactly 5 months to go until our vacation at Disney. We went last september as well and let me tell you I wasn't prepared for all of the walking. Being a bigger person makes a person feel sluggish in that heat, couple that with all of the walking- boy was I in trouble. On my off Ladies Workout Express days I am walking now. I plan on building my walking up to over a mile- trying to go out and step, step, step for at lease a half hour.

Just thought I would share some thoughts with you all.

Lustergirl...WELCOME!! :welcome: :welcome: :welcome: So happy you decided to join our happy little (and getting littler) thread.

Congratulations on the successes you've had so far....AMAZING!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I know how hard it is to "get back on the wagon" once you take some time off, but you're already past the hardest part...getting back in!! I'm so glad you have rededicated yourself to the program, you are going to be so much happier, healthier and overall just better by doing this for yourself.

Please keep us up to date on your progress and if you have anything you want to share, please do so. Again, Welcome!!!

Hey everyone. I am sorry I have been away for a couple of days. We have been having some very bad weather where I am at and it has messed up my computer a little. I wasn't able to get online at all yesterday and I still can't download my email but I knew I could count on you to kepp up the great work all of you have been doing for so long anyway. That is why I have never considered myself the "fearless leader". We are a support group that try to offer as much encouragement, praise, and advice that we can. There are no leaders here. There are only a bunch of friends leaning on one another. We are friends here. We have shared so many personal feelings that we can't be anything but friends. That is what is great about this thread.

Welcome Lustergirl! We are thrilled to have you join our little fitness group. I know I can speak for everyone here when I say that I hope you will find encouragement and enlightenment from any or all of us. We are all going through the same thing here so if anything comes up, don't be afraid to ask questions or even share what is working for you. I know what it is like to have bad knees. I have had two injuries to the same knee and it has just about made it impossible for me to work out my legs. I still do a ton of cardio but for now, that is my only leg routine. I am waiting on an appointment with the doctor to see if we can find out what is going on and get it fixed.

Pluto's Honey - Fantastic job. I am so proud of you. 10 pounds in a month is really the perfect amount. That means you are doing it slowly and under control. This means you will be more inclined to keep the weight off. It's those people who try to loose 10 pounds in a week or two that are setting themselves up to gain the weight back. Typically, it is those people that have totally stopped eating and did a lot of cardio. A lot of them will also take some sort of diet pill or something like that to help speed up their metabolism. That is not the safe or healthy way to loose those unwanted pounds. Keep up the great amount of effort that I know you have put into your routine. I know you will reach your goal.

lionqueen - I have to tell you that there is one thing that you mention often from your routine that makes me very jealous. Everytime you mention that you are going to go swimming, it just reminds me that that is a form of exercise that I can't do. I lost my hearing in one of my ears when I was but a young kid and that has thrown off my equilibrium. This has made it impossible for me to be able to swim, ride a bike or rollerskate. It's funny though. I actually lost my hearing because I almost drowned and died when I was a kid swimming in a creek. My Dad actually had to jump in and save me. I love to get in the water. I just have to make sure I stay in the shallow end of the pool. (Here's what is sad! I have no idea what stereo sounds like.) Honestly though, it don't even bother me anymore. I used to be very bitter about my situation but now I actually consider it a blessing. I may have lost my hearing but that is a lot better than if I had lost my life. If that would have happened, I wouldn't have been able to start this thread and meet all of you people that I consider some very close friends to me. I can only count about one or two people that I see on a regulalr basis that has been as kind or supportive as all of you have. Keep going strong lionqueen. You are an inspiration to us all.

Quote of the day - "Keep your mind to it! Go for it! You've got to break a sweat!" For a group of people that get together like we do to talk about your exercise routines, this is priceless. The week is almost over. Don't stop. Maintain your focus at all times. We just had our "cheat" weekend so let's make sure we stay moving forward. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Good Friday Morning everyone! I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. Looking at the posts, I can assume everyone is having a very busy week.

I have to share something with you all so here it goes. The last few days have been very emotionally trying for me. I found out that my youngest son, who is only 4, has a hernia and will need surgery. I didn't understand what a hernia was, or that it can happen to males at any age. I just heard the word surgery and was immediately worried. Luckily, we have an amazing pediatrician and her own husband is a very respected pediatric surgeon. I spoke with them both and they assured me that it was a very quick, painless and "simple" (don't know how any surgery can be simple, but anyway) process and not to worry....yeah, that worked :goodvibes

Anyway, I have been struggling with the "being strong" for everyone, especially my son and the "not worrying at all face" I've been wearing for 2 days has made everyone calm but me. My son is not worried at all and can't wait for his surgery..kids are so funny :sunny: but I'm struggling with the brave face and scared heart. I know I can tell you all everything, so just wanted to share.

On a positive note, I have continued my normal workout routine everyday this week. I think it was really therapeutic to go and sweat and just not think. I did eat more than I normally would, but I can only attribute this to "stress eating". It's a little strange that I am more hungry, but I guess that is nothing out of the ordinary.

On a really positive note, since April 1st I've lost 5lbs and a total of 9 inches! I am hoping that my body has finally figured out that it can let go of the fat :rotfl2:

Bubba...I was truly surprised to hear about your episodes that happened when you were young, thank GOODNESS that everything turned out the way it did and you are here with us today! I'm sorry to hear about your hearing loss and confining swimming abilities, but it sounds as if it hasn't got you down. My father also has hearing loss in one ear and has the same issues. I actually LOVE to swim, so it would be great if I could look great in a swimsuit  Glad to hear from you again!

Pluto's Honey...YOU ROCK!!! As Bubba said you are doing it exactly right!! I always ask people if they'd rather lose 10lbs quickly, and then have to lose it again in a few weeks, or if they'd like to lose it slowly and just lose it once...that is just what you did!! I know you were getting very discouraged (so was I) but you kept on going, and now look, you did a GREAT JOB!! Keep it up.

Everyone else, I hope you have a great weekend!! DH is going to be working Sat. for sure (maybe Sun) so I will probably visit the thread on the weekend. I am hoping to add Sat. as a "bonus" workout day and have 6 days this week, will let you know how it goes. Til later!
TheLionQueen

Well good moring everyone. Well, I have to say I broke my own rule about not getting on the scale except on Tuesdays! I just couldn't resist the scale calling me, better than eating a doughnut I guess! LOL Well, I am back at 164, lost those 2 lbs I gained. Yea, for me. I also added another salad meal to my diet as of monday. So, for lunch and dinner I am eating a big salad. So my calories are staying about 1,200 calories. And the food is mostly fresh foods, except for the Special K
I eat in the morning.

Lionqueen-I know what you are going through. When my 3 year old was 6 months he had to have his scull reformed, he was born with Craniostinosis (the plates in his head were fused together in front, preventing growth). Like you, I had the brave face on so to not upset him, and the rest of the family. But you can never hold that all in too long, it came out for me when they wheeled him out of surgery and I knew he came through the operation. I fell apart, in the hallway. It has to and needs to come out eventually. Just keep talking, it really helped me. In fact today was his yearly CT Scan (he will have them for years to come), we find out the results next week. Hopefully everything is still looking good. If you need to talk just let me know.

Hi everyone- thanks for the words of encouragement. I feel pretty good today. I am at work and I just took a walk outside then back in to get the mail. I think a big part of my weight problems has to do with stress. I also have alot going on right now. My husband's nephew just passed a couple of weeks ago- we are still in shock. We are starting to work overtime. Last nite I could of stayed til 6pm but I left at my usual time- 5pm because I wanted to go home and get my walk in. I must be doing something right because more money is usually the route for me. But I have decided that exercising is my mine goal right now!! I want to lose some pounds for our upcoming trip to Disney in September.

HEY EVERYONE: It is FRIDAY...the END on this week where Sunday was so bad for ME :crazy2: !! But I seriously moved on from that. I try so hard to keep my motivation level up so high as I think of all of YOU so wonderful people  on this THREAD!!! I had to say DESPITE having DH's birthday :bday: on Wed, I did really good. Even when we had cake :cake: , I requested a SLIVER from my son's g/f who made the cake. I actually was not going to have cake and she really really wanted to make him one so I def agreed and they all had sherbert with their piece but I opted not. So even with the sliver while they were all eating their hefty slice w/i.c. I was happy with ME that I opted for NO i.c. and the small slice. :woohoo:

I worked out all week long alternating my cardio with my s/t! Took to wearing a Pedometer this week and went way overboard on Thursday and did 9500 steps in like 70 minutes @ 4.0! It was the morn after the cake and I was pumped (for some reason) and then I was exhausted around 5pm I needed a nap. It was from really working that cardio.
Met with Colleen my Trainer at 7AM this morning and we went over all the s/t exercises I learned last week. She has all these additional exercises she has added on to the ones I currently do. Most of them I need her assistance with not to be done alone. We used that medicine ball. I hold the 2lb m.b. out in front of me and then as I do lounges, I raise the ball over my head and back down again as I come up from the lounge. I do the length of the gym twice. It is great for the legs with the lounge and upper body with the m.b.!! I have been doing some leg lifts while laying on the stability ball. And then of course the hated sit ups and THANK YOU :thanks: BUBBA as I have that APPLE under my chin ALL THE TIME. I keep my focus and manage to get them DONE. I also did an entire series of push-ups using a bar on a piece of gym equipment. I did not do the floor ones YET, she has informed me, that is to come YUCK ON THEM AS WELL!!! :upsidedow
As I type this post I had lunch and am now having that JELLO treat from SILVERANGEL!! Love it  , so easy, cool refreshing and BEST OF ALL NO :guilty: GUILT!!!
Bubba: On those "standing twists", I want to try that but do I use like a 5lb weight and just hold it by my waist and then W/O moving my lower body, do a twist. How many TWISTS and is 5lbs enough? Also, should I use the PLATE type weight or the regular wgts they have there that are easy to hold???T/Y!!
I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED FROM THE GIT GO: WELCOME :welcome: To the new people on our WONDERFUL THREAD!!! We welcome everyone and this is GROWING...I AM LOVING THIS nice to meet everyone!!!
I asked Colleen about S/T and why we need that so bad and she indicated that if we do not keep up with the s/t our muscles will be effected. The s/t is for muscles. The cardio is for your heart and FAT LOSS. The s/t is to strengthen your muscles so as we age they do lose their LIFE so to speak, their elasticity. We do not want to start drooping as we get older and in order to prevent this we need to do the s/t!!! Did I learn that right from Colleen, how does that sound? She did make it pretty clear to me that I need to continue with the s/t! As you all know I get lazy and I just hop on the treadmill MORE THAN I SHOULD and should be doing the s/t!!!

kidsmom and pluto's honey: WAY TO GO with the weight LOSS!!!
Keep up the GREAT WORK.
lionqueen: WOW, wgt LOSS and PLUS PLUS those INCHES gone bye bye!! I hate that stupid scale I have said that one million times BUT it is the INCHES I love losing most, esp when I put on my jeans and can certainly tell I am MORE comfortable. INCHES lost is the BEST!!! :woohoo:
lionqueen: Hang in there, SURGERY is SCARY!! Esp when it is OUR babes. Wow, we will be praying for a SPEEDY RECOVERY. When is the surgery scheduled for? KEEP US UPDATED! :grouphug: for your babydoll!!!
OKAY EVERYONE: In the words of our fearless leader, BUBBA: MAINTAIN YOUR FOCUS AT ALL TIMES!!!!!

BUBBA, Lionqueen, Silverangel, Kidsmom, Teacher31, Lustergirl, Pluto's Honey,
Good Luck over the weekend. Remember, we all stay inspired by reading all our POSTS. For me it is my therapy to WELLNESS AND FITNESS!!! :wave2:

Hey everyone! It is Friday night and I swear, this week has been nothing but one long rain storm. (If you remember where I live and watch the weather channel, you will know what I am talking about.) It is still raining as we speak. But I didn't let that deter me from going to the gym. I was very lucky and fortunate as I gave myself a 4 day weekend to use up some vacation time. So this morning, I went to the gym and worked out my arms. Right as I got there, I got a call from a buddy of mine that lives in Atlanta. He was letting me know he was in town and would like to meet for lunch. I said "Great!" of course. Then, I asked him when and he was like how soon could we meet. So I blasted my arms in about 20 minutes and then met him. He was really wanting Mexican so that's what we had but I kept it pretty clean. I didn't eat any of the chips and salsa. I did have some rice with some beef and chicken. Overall, I was pretty happy about it. Also, my buddy told me that I had gained a lot if muscle in the 3 months since he had seen me. Now, he wants me to come to Atlanta to teach him what to do and how to use all the equipment at the gym he just joined.

After which, I went back to the gym tonight to do my cardio. I stayed on the treadmill for 90 minutes. I have to be honest. The treadmill doesn't work me as hard as the elliptical. I get a lot more out of that but they were all taken when I got up there. But nevertheless, I still burned off 700 calories and the only reason I stopped was that I had ran out of time. They will only watch my kids until 7:30 on Friday nights.

I also talked with one of the trainers at the gym and told him how I have had several people ask me to give them training tips, advice or even be there trainer. I told him how I was really shocked by it all because I always figured that they would rather get a trainer that was more defined like he was. He made a very good point and I believe momrek had said pretty much the same thing. People want to be trained by someone that has the physique they either want to achieve or feel like they can achieve. Not everyone wants to have 6% bodyfat. A lot of people just want to have good shape and be healthy. He did warn me about making sure I find a reputable place to get my certification though. I told him that my feelings were even if I never get a single client, all of the information that I gain from the experience can only help me.

Momrek - You and your trainer are exactly right. Everyone needs to do some strength training a couple of days a week. Your body is made up of bone and muscle. As we all get older, bone density and muscle mass naturally decrease. Without some form of strength training as a regular routine, what will happen is you will set yourself up to be more prone to injuries. Example - Say you fall down a couple of steps. With proper diet and exercise, you could get a way with a few bumps and bruises. Without proper diet and exercise, you could break a bone or dislocate an arm. I am not saying that training will prevent all injuries but will make you stronger so it will take a "harder" impact to do the same amount of damage. Hope that answers that question.

Lionqueen - I am so sorry about your situation with your son. I know how tough that is on you and the family. The doctor is right though. It is a very simple operation. I am sure that I can speak for everyone here when I say that we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers  :grouphug: . As Momrek said, please keep us notified as to when it is going to take place and how you come out of it. (I know your son will be fine. That's why I said you. You are the one that is going the mental pressure of this type of injury on your little bundle of joy.)

Everyone, I am very proud of you. We are all taking a stand for a healthier lifestyle. I think I can safely say that each and everyone of us is getting a couple of things out of this thread that we really didn't expect. 1) We are all gaining helpful and useful knowledge that we are using on a daily basis. 2) We are all gaining a lot of new friends that we feel very comfortable talking to and sharing personal hardships and victories. I kind of hoped when I started the thread that the first one would happen but the second one has been truly an unexpected blessing. All of you are my family now. My only hope now would be that we could actually be lucky enough to be able to take our vacations together so we could share our successes in person. I think the world of you and I thank you for motivating me to be the very best that I can be.

Have a great weekend!!

BLONDEALLIGATOR: WELCOME WELCOME!!! :welcome: !!!

This is such an awesome THREAD. I have only joined about a month ago and
man the motivation I have gotten from here is amazing. I think about all my NEW friends here on the DIETING FOR DISNEY thread D A I L Y!!!

WE ARE ALL AWESOME PEOPLE SO WANTING THE SAME THING....to lose some weight and feel good!!! :thumbsup2

Let me please welcome BlondeAlligator. Everyone is welcomed here. We only have one requirement. Come in and relax. Don't be afraid to share or ask questions. We are all frie.... I was about to say that we are all friends but I would have to say that we are closer than that. We are all family here. We have shared feelings about a lot of different topics on this thread and you can feel free to do the same. Again, welcome to our humble but very motivated group.

Lindalinda - Your goal is very much obtainable. You are just looking at a little over 2 pounds a week. That can be achieved. I am going to ask you to pm me, if that is more comfortable for you, and give me some details about what your diet and exercise routine is. I would like to make a couple of suggestions that might be able to help but that is near impossible without knowing what you are doing now. If you would rather post it here so you can get more opinions, that's fine too. I just know some people would rather not make everything public. But as I have said, we are all family here and we are all here to help in anyway possible.

Momrek - I never answered your question about the standing twists. I am so sorry. Usually, what I will do is stand with my feet about shoulder width apart. I will hold a dumbbell weight in front of my waist. You will have to keep everything below your waist as still as possible as this is to target your core. This may be obvious but just in case it isn't, as you are twisting, the weight needs to stay with your stomach. So when you twist to the left, the weight needs to go to the left and etc.. I would suggest starting off with a low number of reps to see how you feel the next day. The first time you do this, you may feel it in your lower back but I promise you will feel it on your sides the next day. Then, you can adjust how many reps you do after you see how it feels. Remember, the most important thing is that we are here to be healthy. If any of goes overboard or gets injured, that makes it much harder to continue.

Stay in the Fight! Ask yourself if you are motivated and dedicated. You really have to be both to be able to succeed. To quote Tom Hanks from "A League of Their Own", "It's supposed to be hard. The hard is what makes it great. If it wasn't hard, everyone would be doing it." Diet and exercise is hard but it is also a lifestyle. We had a lifestyle that got us out of shape. Now, we have to have a lifestyle to get back into shape.

YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!! KEEP IT UP!! :cheer2: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Bubba- I think the trainer is right, I would be less intimidated by someone that didn't lool like the hulk! LOL

Well, it is Saturday morning. I just joined netflix! I tell you, I don't like doing the eliptical. I put the tv remote over the minutes, because if I don't, I just stare at the time! But lately, I have been renting movies to help pass the time, which costs alot. So, I joined this netflix, so I get new dvds, to keep my mind off what I am doing. I just watched king kong this week (that is how I got the idea). It took me a couple of days because I only alow myself to watch the movie, while on the eliptical! And so far I am only up to 30 minutes at a time.

What I don't understand is that when you guys say you do the eliptical and treadmills, you say you burn hundreds of calories. With the 30 minutes I am on the treadmill, it says I am only burning 85 calories. I use the heartrate monitor and am doing the setting where it keeps my heart rate at 60% target heart rate. Do I need to change it? There are other settings rolling hills, cardio incline, shape up valley, 75% of HR and 80% if HR and some customizable programs. IF anybody understands this stuff and could help I would appreciate it. Oh, when you are on the % programs the eliptical automatically changes to keep your heart rate at the % of the program. Not that I understand this stuff, I am reading the mannual.

Lionqueen - My son had some pretty major ear surgery over spring break. The doctor said there was a 1 % chance they would have to remove his ear to complete the surgery and guess what? My son was that 1%. It's been 3 weeks now and he's doing well. Hardest part was waiting because the doctor said it would be an hour and a half. Two hours came rolling up and I just told my husband, "1%." The stitches healed up well, there is some tenderness still, and where they took the skin graft is still sore, but all of that will go away. Trust me, I know what you are going through. You are definitely in my prayers! Did you tell us when it is? Don't have contacts in yet.

My week has been okay on the whole weight thing. Have lost 3.5 pounds this month, but I've lost more in inches. I'll be going back to watching my diet more stringently next week.

Bubba-Tell me about the rain! Look where I live! I feel I should be sprouting webbed feet soon.

Have a wonderful, healthy weekend everyone. Thanks again for all the great posts!

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING EVERYONE!!! I am off to help my son clean his Gram's house. He has stayed in her home all winter while she was away in Texas and he needs a tad bit of assistance cleaning, vacuuming, washing all the floors, dusting...so that is OUR Saturday. So that is my workout. We will pick up all the sticks and do some yard work before the day is done as well. SOUNDS LIKE A FUN DAY.
BUBBA: I am going to TRY those twists as that exercise sounds like something I would like to. I want to concentrate and define my waist and doing the TWIST will be :thumbsup2 . Bubba, you must have been so pumped when your friend recognized how fabulous you looked. That is like so wicked cool. :goodvibes AND I certainly HOPE you go for your Certification. You would be so good at it. Your advice on this Thread has been (in a word) PRICELESS.! Are you saying you went to the gym TWICE on Friday...man that is devotion. Wow you really killed that treadmill. I LOVE the eliptical but have been having carpal tunnel issues with one hand and the ski poles (thingys) bother my one hand. I do MISS it. I think you can BURN so much more on the eliptical. I am looking into what is up with my hand and I will be BACK on the E before you know it.
kidsmom: I do not even know how to work the calorie thingy on my treadmill...I know I see it clearly on the eliptical but I never see it on the treadmill at all. I wish I knew how to work that feature. ANYONE???
