I didn't. I had actually (stupid me) dropped out of highschool, so I never had a prom. I, of course, have gone back and am currently working on my MA. But, I thought the closest I would ever get to a prom was when DD (sparx) gets to go to hers.

But, of course, the prom gods interviened for me! Tonight is the first "Relay For Life" Black Tie Gala in our town. The ladies in charge of it have talked the center where it is being held to leave up last night's prom decorations so that it can be a 'second' prom for everyone that goes. SO asked, I said yes, and so we are going to my FIRST and ONLY prom! I'm a little old, but hey, I've got the dress and he has the tux and we are going to partay!

I'll post pictures as soon as I can!! I'm am so excited!!!!!

nope sure didnt.

The guy I was (stupidly) dating was much older and wasnt about to go to a HS prom

I thought I was the only idiot this happened to ;) :rotfl2:

I don't dance anyways :teeth:

yes I went to my semi, junior and senior proms and i had a wondeful time and had great memories of them and some great pics to

I didn't go to mine but I went to DH's. His was great because he attended a private school that went out of there way to make it ultra luxurious. I kinda wished I went to mine though..... but that's what I get for moving to fast and having my kiddos!

No, I dropped out due to I got jumped by 4 people at school and was too scared to go back. I did get my GED at 16, and was in college right after, but I miss not going or having my Senior picture taken.

My DS23 dropped out too. He got his GED and went to culinary school, but he mentioned the other night, he regretted not finishing with his class.

Nope, had no interest in going. I graduated early and was DONE with that place for good.

yeah well welcome to the older loser boyfriend club! We dont have any meetings, we figure our BFs wont get off their butts to go to one anyway. ;)

:lmao: :rotfl2:

( or maybe that was just mine)

I didnt miss much from what I hear, I graduated in 1989 and the theme song was " Time in a bottle" Seriously??? Apparently we couldnt find ONE 80's song for our theme??? LOL

Oh well, all well that ends well, I couldnt win the lottery (dh) if I didnt buy a few (loser) tickets ;)

I went to mine :thumbsup2 I had dropped out of school too, but I went back the next year and finished. I went with my best friend/boyfriend at the time. We had more fun being lost and trying to find out way there than we did at the prom. (he went to a different school and didn't know anyone, and all my friends had graduated the year b4) So we only stayed about half an hour then drove around for the rest of the night :rotfl:

Yes, unfortunately. I wasn't allowed to go to my Junior Prom, which I heard was way better. To go to my Senior Prom, I turned down All State Chorus and a weekend in Savannah. What a mistake in retrospect.

I went to my Jr., but not my Sr.

Since my mom paid for it all, she told me it was the Sr. Prom or Senior Week in Wildwood!

I chose a week in Wildwood! :cool1:

Yes.

I went with some guy I barely knew. (broke up with boyfriend right before prom) Left there without him, went to a party and had a great time! :teeth:

Party, great. Prom itself, not so great.

nope didn't go. I had just broken up with my boyfriend and I asked another guy to go with me and he said NO!!! I don't think I missed much.

I went to the Jr/Sr prom in my junior year. Had such a miserable time, I didn't want to go my senior year--I don't think I missed much. :thumbsup2

Have a great time!!

I went to my junior and senior proms. I had a great time at my junior prom, I went with my best guy friend and we had a blast. Senior year I went with my boyfriend whom I hated, and we pretty much told each other off all night. But I looked pretty.

I did...and ended up ditching my loser date before we even had our pictures taken.

It's kinda funny now...looking at that stupid prom picture and knowing that the guy standing there with me was NOT my date! :rotfl:

Hey, OP...have a WONDERFUL time at your "prom"!!!

Yes. I went. Proms are seriously overrated.
BTW, my mother is still complaining that she "bought that expensive dress never wore again." And I'm 35. :rotfl2:

I went my Senior year but my date didn't like to dance so needless to say, it wasn't one of my favorite evenings.

I didn't go to either. My boyfriend at the time was...umm...older and I felt a bit strange having him there. He felt bad that I felt bad (he told me to go, but none of my friends were going alone and I didn't want to be a 3rd wheel), so he took me out that night - just the two of us - and we met up with some friends after (and we all got thrown out of the cheesy motel we descended upon) . Ah, good times. :thumbsup2

Ironically, the guy one of my friends took is now my DH. :) I knew OF him then, but didn't know him in person except for a few brief sightings. I met him many years later for real.
