Because you didn't know what it was or misunderstood what it was?

For me it was the country bear jamboree. I've been to disney world 10 times and I never went in until my last trip. I thought it was a dinner show for some reason. I got so upset with myself because it is now one of my favorite must dos. Anyone done something similar? I love hearing people's stories. :goodvibes

We did not do spaceship earth the first few times. I was told that it was an indoor rollercoaster. We had little ones and was not sure if they could handle it. We still joke about it. It is actually one of our favorite things to do now!

After 15 times at the world I finally went on Soarin'. I can't do motion rides so I was always afraid but it was great!!

I have avoided the jungle cruise for years. I probably hadn't ridden it since I was a teenager and now I have a teen of my own. So, finally I broke down and went on it a few trips ago. OMG! We love it! :rotfl: I'll never waste a fast pass on it, but when we stay late into the night and there is no line - you will find us there. We tell jungle cruise jokes all the time to each other now.

Alright...and Peter Pan. I will never understand the 120 minute lines for that and will never waste getting a FP for it. So, if the line is dead enough then we may jump on, but still not thrilled with it.

ok...and Country Bears. I am sure I must have seen it as a child...but haven't been since. I'll have to check it out on You Tube to see if it's something I want to see.

I agree about Peter Pan. It was neat, but I wouldn't ever wait anything over 20 minutes to ride it. I don't know if other people really love it, or they're told it's great or something, but I don't understand it either...

Innovations. I heard read so many reviews about how boring it the attraction was, that I had no interest to even try it. Last time we were at Disneyland, it was raining so hard, we decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. It was actually nothing like I expected, and the girls loved Peter Pan's story time.

My first trip to DW was in 1996 with my dad and sister. I was 9 and I begged him to let us go on Spaceship Earth. He said no way because he thought it was a roller coaster (I'm pretty sure he was confusing it with Space Mountain). I remember even getting in trouble for arguing with him that it wasn't a roller coaster. Now I always make a point to ride it first thing at Epcot :thumbsup2

Now my dad did however take me on the Alien "ride" :scared1: We all had no idea what that was going into it, and afterwards we all hated it. To this day I refuse to step foot onto it even though they've changed it to Stitch's Great Escape :rotfl:

Lastly, I don't think I really understood what Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor was all about. I think I was expecting something much hokey-er(sp?) like, for example, Country Bears. We skipped it on a few trips and then finally I decided to give it a shot because it had a short wait. LOVED it!

Ditto on the laugh floor. I had no idea what it was. Every time I go in it is such a riot!!!

I've never ridden Stitch. I avoid it because I'm told it's smelly, and I don't like rides that strap you in. I don't think I'll ever ride it.

Just to keep things straight,

Innoventions at Disneyland and Innoventions at WDW can be very different experiences.

And, no Peter Pan Story Time at WDW.
(You didn't say that there WAS, but we have a lot of new readers on the boards.)

ROBO! Did you know there's a whole thread about you?

I did see it.

Lots of good fun!
Lots of good friends on this board!
I had some great laughs reading it.

Very much appreciated the kind words
(and, it was quite a humbling and face-reddening experience for me, I must say!)

seriously?!? Ive been on innovations at dl and it is so dumb I couldn't believe it is an actual attraction. now i'll have to go on it at wdw just to compare.

Me, too! I avoided the laugh floor the last few trips--and then tried it out last February. I loved it! It's on the top of the list of "must-dos" for next time!

i love the laugh floor! the only thing I don't like is how long the wait can be before you get in. We stood in the first section once for probably 15-20 minutes before being sent into the 2nd holding room where we were for another 10-15 minutes. but it was definitely worth it because I did it again! Its a great show and I think I only didn't like the waiting cause both times I went in right before the fireworks so I was EXHAUSTED. I can't really pick an attraction or ride though because I've only been twice and we did pretty much everything on this last trip (Except for rocknroll. I didn't want to go alone!)

No attraction...but I skipped WCC because it sounded like a normal-to-nice restaurant, where I felt my kids would have to behave and that none of us would enjoy it because they'd have to sit still and be quiet and I'd have to sit there anticipating poor behavior and giving looks and DH would be whining because it wasn't a wing hut.

It gave us something to do on trip #2. :)

We avoided spaceship earth on our first few visits because we thought it was a walk through exhibit and we had young children.
It is now the families "must do" ride at Epcot.

:rotfl::lmao:
I will NEVER go on Stitch's Great Escape or try it because I found the Alien "ride" that was there previously was the worst. To me, there is nothing worse than sitting in the dark waiting to see what is going to happen next. I was miserable! I think that Alien ride scarred me for life and I am scared of that location now. Won't go near it.

I also put off Peter Pan on my first 3 trips because I hadn't heard the most exciting things about it. We finally did it last time and we LOVED it. We did it several times on our last trip and are looking forward to it again!!!

We avoid the laugh floor because my son fears he is going to be picked out of audience.

Stitch, was the worst ten mins of my life when we did it back in 07 :/
