Did you ever avoid an attraction......

First year we went in 2006 we avoided Photopass Photog no realizing what it was until after our trip.

I thought it was like other photograph experiences like where they take one stupid picture & pressure you to buy it & it is stupid.

I didn't realize you could get so many pictures at such a great price & add so many borders & the magic shots are so wonderful. We purchase CD before every trip now.

Out of about 10 trips we had never done Tom Sawyer's Island before. It really is great for the kids!! Completely unexpected what we seen there. Will definitely do again!!

I didn't avoid this on purpose, I just never made an effort to see it. And then on our last trip I found out: The Birds of Prey show at DAK is actually really good!

Who knew?!?

I have to agree about the Stitch ride. This was the first time we went on it. While the concept was cute the smell almost ruined the day for me! I'm one of those people cursed with sinus issues and smells/scents are not my friend. Like if a coworker has too much oerfume on, i get a migraine. I was so nauseous after - I'm grateful it passed quickly enough.

I've never ridden Stitch. I avoid it because I'm told it's smelly, and I don't like rides that strap you in. I don't think I'll ever ride it.

They did tone down the smelliness, it is not too bad, as for the being strapped down, there is a shoulder bar that lowers until it touches your shoulder and stops, my wife just puts her hands on her shoulders and it stops early. It is not a motion ride or anything, so don't really need it.

D

Going as part of a childless couple, I tended to avoid Snow White, Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh. Two trips ago we did them all and now I'll try to ride them every time.

We avoided Wonders of Flight for years, figured it was just a little bird show with birds doing things like riding the little bicycle (as the tour guide says). Went in one day as we had seen everything else at AK and we were waiting to go to lunch and we loved it.

The show birds do vary, depending on what birds they use and even if you have seen it on one trip, see it again as they quite possibly maybe doing something differnt this time.

Haha! Me too! I thought we'd have to pay 20 dollars for one of those keychains you hold up to the light and see your photo. Hahahaha!

Having an extreme aversion to Ellen, I avoided Ellen's Energy Adventure. Finally broke down and loved it.

Animal Kingdom's Tree of Life. I thought it was just a tree! the first two times in AK, we just took pictures. I finally learned you could go in! so, we tried last time, and it was closed for the day!

this time, we are skipping AK entirely which means we still will never have done It's a bugs life!

Count me as another person who bypassed Flights of Wonder. For years I thought, big whoop..a bird show. Then one year we decided to give a try since A) it was on the touring plan we were using, and B) it was one of the two attractions we hadn't done in AK. LOVED it! We don't go every trip, but it really is a wonderful show.

The other AK attraction we haven't done, and will never do is ITTBAB. Sorry. I had a co-worker tell me how great it is, and insisted me and DD would love it. Thankfully we went to the now gone Honey I Shrunk the Audience show first. That show creeped me and my DD out big time. There is no way we could handle ITTBAB. I'm getting the heebie jeebies just typing about it.

I wouldn't ride Snow White if I were you.;)

Circle of Life at Epcot. I always thought it was some cartoon for kids. One time we had to kill time before our Soarin fastpass and we went in. It's an awesome film!

I loved Flights of Wonder! Definitely see it at least twice when I go next time. Of course I'm bias because an old college classmate of mine works there. :P

Lastly, I don't think I really understood what Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor was all about. We skipped it on a few trips and then finally I decided to give it a shot because it had a short wait. LOVED it!

This was us (I had read a lukewarm review when it was brand-new) and now it's one of our favorite attractions in MK. We usually do it 2 or 3 times on a weeklong trip. It's also fun when you spot the "Churro Guy" out in the park. I used to try to avoid being on camera (didn't work) and now we just roll with it.

Edited to add: It's Tough to be a Bug is one of my absolute favorite shows. I also love Flights of Wonder but usually have to go alone as my DD is afraid of birds. She loves ITTBAB though (she knows when to pick up her feet or lean forward).

We did the laugh floor three times this trip. Dd7 was picked 2x and dd11 once. It was sooooo funny. We loved it. Had never done it before. I didn't want to do stitch, but there was no way put of that one bc dd11 loves stitch. It wasn't as bad as I feared, and she loved it.

ITTBAB scared the day lights put of my 7 year old. She hates stinging insects so the hornets did her in. I knew about the seat bugs but not the hornets. I also didn't feel the hornet so I didn't know why she freaked out so. I'm guessing that's a never again for her.

My mom and I saw the bug show and felt nothing. No bugs, no hornets, nothing! The crowd around us was screaming and squirming but all we got was, I think, a burst of water in the face though that would've been any of the other shows that squirt a mist of water or whatever at you. I didn't really like that show. Maybe that was why?
