Did you ever avoid an attraction......

Had never ventured in to the Animation Building at DHS during previous trips. Not only was the drawing class great(sorry I don't remember the actual name of it), but the introduction to animation show with a CM interacting with Mushu was also a lot of fun.

:rotfl::lmao:
I will NEVER go on Stitch's Great Escape or try it because I found the Alien "ride" that was there previously was the worst. To me, there is nothing worse than sitting in the dark waiting to see what is going to happen next. I was miserable! I think that Alien ride scarred me for life and I am scared of that location now. Won't go near it.

I had never ridden Stitch's Great Escape either, because of my fear of the area thanks to Alien. My dd went last summer with my mom and I, and Nana took her on the ride. She loved it. Instant fan, thought it was hilarious. Fast forward to the next month when we went for a mother/daughter trip and my 7yo wants to ride by herself because it's the "Greatest ride ever!" (her words, not mine). So, I had to put my big girl panties on it and deal. It wasn't that bad. Completely tolerable, and nothing like Alien.

For me, it's the Flight of Wonder at AK. I'm terrified of birds, which doesn't make any sense honestly, but they legitimately scare the heck out of me. My boyfriend made me go see it, promised I'd be safe ... I only had one minor freak out through the whole thing, and if I ever go on it again, I now know where not to sit.

I like to be controversial so I say I won't go on Splash Mountain because it is based on a racist movie.

...but really the animatronics freak me out. They are like demonic or something.

They remind of the Woodland Christmas Critters. Or characters from Goofy's favorite attraction...Lester's Possum Park. :crazy2:

I went on small world this year for the first time in over a decade. It was so run down and dirty, it made me sad. Walt would be ashamed. :sad2:

I've never ever been on Tom Sawyer Island or the Riverboat. I was afraid to go on Space Mountain until I was 18.

Ours was the Animation Academy at DHS.

Everytime, our plan was to hurry over to TSM, and then go over to TOT and RNRC. We would eat an early lunch at Sci-Fi, go to GMR and then Muppets.

We knew that the Animation Academy was there but never had any interest. We didn't know what it was and since I couldn't draw a straight line with a ruler, DH and I figured we would skip it.

We skipped it for YEARS.

Last trip, we went to DHS and both TSM AND RNRC were down.
So we went over to the Animation Academy and all I can say is WOW!! :cool1:

This is now by far our most favorite thing to do in all of WDW. DH and I drew beautifully and we even framed 2 of our drawings.

What a wonderful thing to do and so many folks walk right past it on their way to TSM, probably without giving it a second thought.

We did not do spaceship earth the first few times. I was told that it was an indoor rollercoaster. We had little ones and was not sure if they could handle it. We still joke about it. It is actually one of our favorite things to do now!

We love Spaceship Earth - funny story - we were behind a family last year and the Mom was absolutely scared to death to get on it - she wouldn't believe her family it wasn't some kind of thrill ride - she held up the line for the longest time and even asked the CM - do you SWEAR this doesn't go fast? :rotfl: I am guessing someone had already tricked Mom onto a ride before.

I skipped the safari because I am petrified of elephants.I sucked it up & went on it this time, I had a total panic attack in line, but I did it. It was okay. I might do it again?
