Did you drink coffee as a teen?

No. We were told it would stunt our growth!

I don't drink it as an adult either but it's only because I hate the taste. Love the smell though.

:rotfl2: I remember that, and cigarettes, too!

Lot good it did me... I didn't touch the stuff and I'm only 4'10!! How short would I be if I did??? :rotfl2:

BTW I drank my first cup of coffee in my 30s. Never even considered it in my teens.

I don't even remember ever not drinking coffee. Must have started sometime in elementary school. I always loved coffee.:goodvibes

Although my whole family are avid coffee drinkers, I never had an interest. Never drank it then, don't drink it now. :)

I started drinking coffee at an early age - single digits for sure - with cream and sugar because that's the way my Dad drank/drinks it.

My mother gave us coffee on our first day of Kindergarten. While I really don't remember that much, I don't think we were very good morning people:rotfl2:.

I drink coffee now, but very much reduced my intake. My blood pressure spiked after the coffee days of early child-raising. Neither of my children asked for it when they were younger, but now that Starbucks and Timmies are available, they both drink it out, but not at home.

I did, but only occasionally. I didn't start REALLY drinking it until I was in college. We would to to this all night pancake restaurant where you could buy a cup of coffee for $1, and they left the pot on the table. They called it a bottomless cup of coffee. Well, they lost money on us, because we drank POTS and POTS of coffee until the wee hours of the morning.:lmao:

My DS15 has just developed a taste for coffee, and will brew himself a cup of decaf (we have a Keurig). He likes the flavored creamers and lots of it! The kids at school all have travel mugs and there is actually a coffee shop inside the high school! Times sure have changed since I was in HS!

I have never liked the taste of coffee (I love the smell though) and never drank it (or ate coffee ice cream or the like) but most of my friends drank it in highschool (late 80s/early 90s). Our hangout was a coffee shop. We spent most afternoons at Penny Lane Coffee House and I was the only one drinking hot cocoa or tea

My kids are 13 and 11. DD13 doesn't even like the smell of coffee, much less the taste. DS11 will eat coffee ice cream and other sweets if they are the only sugar available:rolleyes: but he doesn't much care for it either. Their dad, and 3 out of 4 grandparents cannot live without the stuff--so I keep thinking they will eventually love it.

nope didn't drink coffee but got tea when we were sick. I love the smell of coffee but hate the taste now, unless it's frozen.

I don't allow my kids to drink coffee now but my youngest licks my DH spoon when I'm not looking.

No, I only drank tea~

I didn't start to drink coffee until I was 30+ years old.

I don't get all the kids sucking down the Starbucks.

yes. I started going to coffeeshops when I started driving(we had 2 and still have 1 really amazing local coffeeshops where we would all get coffee in high school).

I did. I was allowed to drink coffee from the time I was about ten, although back then it was more a little coffee in my milk than actual coffee. Then in high school the cool thing to do on a friday night after football season was to meet up with friends for coffee.

I do not drink coffee as much now but that is only because it takes too much effort to make it, lol

I honestly don't remember when I had my first cup of coffee. It was always in the house and I was always welcome to it.

My parents were heavy coffee drinkers, but we were not allowed to drink it. I tried a few sips over the years. I never learned to like it. I'm 58 years old and have never drank a full cup of coffee.

I remember sitting on G-pa's lap drinking "coffee" when I was VERY little (he died when I was 4).
Of course our coffee was mostly milk ;)

I didn't drink coffee as a teen and I still don't drink it.

I never drank coffee until my mid-20's.. Up until then, all I ever drank was milk, water, hot cocoa in the winter, and a few juices I could tolerate.. (No soda or other carbonated beverages - no alcohol..)

Now you don't even want to be in the same county as me until I've had a half a gallon of Folgers in the morning..:rotfl::rotfl:
