Did we really just buy DVC at BLT? Taking MIL in Dec! Acronyms abound!

39 HOURS........but who's counting?????? Okay, me!

So we are all packed now except for last minute toiletries. My plan of using my sisters ginormous suitcase didn't work out. I tried weighing it (i know, not accurate at home) and it was 57 already. I figured not to risk being overweight. so i have my larger mickey luggage bag to check. AA charges $25 each way. OUCH!!!!!!

Then we have our small mickey head luggage to carry on, plus a rollaboard (toddler sized from disney store) for my son and then two backpacks. i am hoping that is it- plus the stroller/car booster to check at the gate. My MIL shipped her luggage (hope it arrives on time!), but she'll have a carry on as well as my niece. should be smooth sailing.

Just confirmed the car service pickup at 4am on Saturday..:scared1::scared1::scared1: I haven't told DH what time the car is coming yet. He is one of those wait until the last minute to plan anything type of guys. He'll casually mentioned on a Friday night, "by the way, we are invited to a party tomorrow night'........uh, hello, you need to tell me sooner so we can arrange a sitter etc. :confused3:rotfl: He also hates getting to the airport too early. But i think we are doing it in good time. 4am pickup gets us to dFW by 4:30am. Flight boards at 5;45am. gives us enough time to check bags, get through security and find some breakfast.

heading to get a pedicure in a few and got my son's haircut last night. Poor kid- hates blow dryers and so i warned the lady and she forgot and broke out the blow dryer to blow the cut hair off of him. i didn't notice her grab it but it was too late. she turned it on and he freaked.....poor kid wet his pants (still potty training ya know). he cried for a solid 15 minutes. the kid will ride roller coasters, isn't afraid of characters and is fearless...........except for blow dryers and lawn mowers. :confused3:lmao: he just sat there the rest of the time "no blow dryer, no blow dryer!".

So what's next for the next 39 hours? pedicure, more work (off at 5!), vacuum, prepare the guest room for MIL/niece, dishes, one last load of laundry, work tomorrow from 8-5- take dogs to mom's house at lunchtime- and bring her some lunch! hopefully sneak out a little early from work- maybe 4:45??? boss is out on vacation. I am sure no one would care. DS has swim class at 5:45, but not sure we will go, depends on when my MIL plans to arrive tomorrow night. I think she has to work, so not sure what time she gets off. She also has court today for her divorce (yep, the hubby that was supposed to be coming with us, but obviously isn't now). I need to send her a text and wish her luck. They are talking about the house- she still lives in it (restraining order against him), but can't afford it on her own- hoping he buys her out. wish her luck!

so that's it- it is so close i can taste the dole whip!!!!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR READING along and supporting me!!!!!
be sure to follow me on facebook- just find me under Michelle Easler Peters. I'll be posting pics throughout the trip on my iPhone. I am sure all my non-DIS friends will be wondering what a nut I am when i post food porn pics! :lmao:

I'll try and post at least one last time before we leave- maybe post a pic of all the bags ready to go!

It's been so nice getting to know you and reading along! Best wishes for a truly magical vacation!

You are very close- we have a lot of friends in Rockwall (and more in Rowlett)- i went to HS at Mesquite Poteet---grew up in Mesquite, although my parents just moved last month out of Mesquite finally to Frisco--- graduated in 1992 from PHS!

Too funny! I know some people from PHS class of '93 that went to A&M. I haven't seen them in years and I can only think of one last name. So, where do you live? I figured you lived closer to the airport...

Just moved our Via Napoli reservation on the 10th to 830. Will be looking for you there. Was hoping for earlier but better than the 930 we originally had. I "friended" you on FB so we can see if our paths cross sooner.

I'm almost sad it's here because I know it'll be over before I know it. But I'm going to try and enjoy the moments and smell the roses and try to make it last as long as possible.

Are you even packing swim clothes? I really wanted to swim once at Boardwalk but it doesn't look like the weather will co-operate.

I have two younger sisters that went to PHS as well- one graduated in 94 and the other in 95. Wendy and Mandy Easler if those names ring bells too. So i knew a lot of the lower classes too- in fact i dated a few boys (just a few, lol) from the class of 93.

We live in South Plano actually- we are right off of Plano Parkway- just a block from the george bush tollway/190---right between Coit and Ohio. so basically in the park/preston area. I work in Carrollton at Midway/Park near the big Prestonwood Baptist Church.

Hi Meredith- so your friend request- accepted! :thumbsup2 yeah for VN- i'll check out your photos, so i can see what you look like and keep an eye out for you that night. We will be sorta sad as our last night. :rotfl: i know, i feel the same way on it being over. we plan and anticipate for so long and then the trip flies by.

Have a great trip!!!

19 hours and counting. i am struggling to get through this work day. come on hours, pass quickly today........but please pass slowly tomorrow! :rotfl2:

We are all packed and ready to go!!! taking my little pups (okay, not pups, they are 11yo sisters) to my moms for dogsitting while we are gone- Tinkerbell and Sassy. Hopefully they are well behaved! One is in a cone of shame right now from eye surgery and has lots of eye drops and meds my dad will have to give her. fortunately my mom is retired and stays home all day, but she is legally blind and so she can't give the eye drops to Tink. hopefully the pups are okay.

So we are having lunch at Chefs de France during our trip and i timed it so we can hopefully see Remy! I have never seen Ratatouille so i finally watched it last night and it was so darn cute- i cried at the end. My son of course wouldn't sit through it- he is not into tv- too busy playing and on the go all the time to sit still and watch a show for more than 10 minutes (I guess that is a good thing though).

So what's left? I have a meeting this am with the VP of Sales (I work in Marketing) and have to discuss our marketing plan for 2011. blah!!! Then after that heading to grab the pups, stop at taco bueno for some lunch then head to mom's (and take her lunch since she can't drive). then back to work and struggle to get through the day. I have to write a script for a video for one of my products today. not sure I am going to be able to concentrate! Then hopefully sneak out a little early- maybe 4:30-4:45? Take Will to swim class at 5:45-6:15 then grab dinner to bring home. hoping my MIL and niece make it to our house by at least 7, but we will see if it is sooner or not. I am trying to get Will down to sleep by 7:30-8, but he usually doesn't go to bed until 8:30 and then doesn't really fall asleep until 9 or later. So we will see how well that goes. We have to get up about 3-3:30am. Car service arrives at our house at 4am!!!! then we are off!!!!:wizard::santa::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

btw- what days are you guys at BLT? We are at BLT the entire stay. hopefully we can catch each other there!!!

Yes, we packed swim clothes. we swam twice last year in early December. there is a hot tub i think too. but as cold as it is looking, not sure we will use it or not.

another dis friend of mine is there already and posted a pic on FB and her boys were bundled up in coats, hats and gloves. i guess it was already pretty cold!

We're at BWV 5-8 and check in to BLT from 8-12. Did you say you were going to the DVC Merry Mixer on the 10th or will you be in the parks?

MICHELLE"S TRIP REPORT

So a few highlights-

  • BLT was amazing, loved it- loved the short walk to MK, although the monorail was a little longer than i hoped- always full on the way to BLT, so left little room to get on usually.
  • CLP package was great- had a great meal at Le Cellier and loved the show.
  • MVMCP was a blast- we saw and did so much!
  • Crowds were not too bad until our last day!
  • weather BRRRRRRRR cold! good thing we brought coats!
  • Meals- ate like Kings- one of my new favorites is Via Napoli- i am still dreaming about that pizza!
  • 40inches! Will made it and rode all the biggies!
  • Pop warner- well we saw them, that's for sure!
read more on the TR- thanks for reading along on the PTR!!!! :santa::santa::hug::woohoo::wizard:
