Did "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" Tour today

The pin is kind of big and heavy. It looks like a book. Walt's photo on the front. Inside is a silhouette of Walt and Mickey with a Walt Quote on one page. Other page is Walt's opening day speech.

That sounds like a really nice pin. Thanks for the description. I wish I had taken this tour in the past, because the price has steadily increased over time.

since the apartment is no longer on the tour, i assume they no longer also give out the lamp pin?

Yes, that is a nice description of the pin. Would you mind posting a picture of it as well? It sounds so nice:flower:

I believe this is the pin.

Thanks for posting that. I'm buried in graduation activities and just didn't have time to get a photo of the pin.

We did the tour 2 years ago and did both Walt's Apartment and the lobby of Club 33, just getting to visit those two places probably made it one of best if not the best experiences at DLR or WDW. The Dream Suite sounds pretty amazing as well and wouldn't mind doing the tour again to see it, but we are really glad that we at least got to see Walt's Apartment. I hope someday the issues are resolved and everyone can have the chance to see the apartment again.

Have they taken Walt's apartment off the tour altogether now? They said in November the apartment was going to be back on the tour "any day now" after the refurb.

I took the tour on February 14, 2013. The Club 33 entrance and Walt's apartment were part of the tour then, so I'm glad I took it when I did. My t-shirt featured a Lego Fourth Doctor regenerating into the Fifth which made our hostess squee when she saw it so that was a bonus.

How many days out can you book this tour? Is it 30 days or more than that? Thanks

I called on June 16that about 8:40 to set the 6 of us up for the tour. Only 5 spots available, so I got those for the rest of the group. I sure hope that I'll be allowed to join in on that day. It sounds like a tour that I'd really enjoy.

We did the tour 2 years ago, really enjoyed it and got to see the lift and entrance to club 33. Our little girl was 5 at the time and she loved it too. Highly recomended if you're a serious Walt fan :)

Thanks for your report. I've been thinking about taking this tour again so I could review it. I've never been to the Dream Suite. At the same time, I think it's a bit expensive, but as long as they get people going on it, I don't see the rate going down at all.

since the apartment is no longer on the tour, i assume they no longer also give out the lamp pin?

There was no lamp pin.

I have the lamp pin from when I took the tour. I think they only gave out that pin for a limited time since people who went in the time after me reported that they did not get a pin.

I really wanted to take my mom on this tour in September. I am really bummed that they took Walt's apartment off the schedule. I can understand Club 33 since they did some recent renovation, but Walt's apartment was going to be the winning ticket for me. The dream suite would be cool to see but not on my top priority. I really hope they figure this out soon.
