Did they change May EMH AGAIN?

I'm totally confused

We planned our days based on the EMH schedule. Then just a few days ago I read here that they ADDED EMH's for May. I looked on the official site and saw the new EMH's, but when I just checked again to write them all down it appears the new ones are gone & things look back to the way they were - ?

Was I imagining all of this

AND, if they did add them was it because they were projecting higher than average crowds. And if so, why did they take them away? Hmm.....

You didn't imagine it! They "have" reduced the number of EMH days/nights during Memorial weekend, not sure about the rest of May. I have no idea why - but they are making me CRAZY. I considered changing my PS's to take advantage of the early morning hours - now I'm so glad I didn't. I guess we will have to keep watching and see what heppens.

They have also reduced the EMH's for the second week of May. We are going the 7th-14th and when EMH's came out I put them all on our itinerary Excel spreadsheet. Last week, when I heard they had changed, I updated my spreadsheet. They had added EMH's so that MGM had AM and PM on Sunday the 8th, MK had AM and PM on the 11th, and I think Epcot had AM and PM on the 12th. Now they are back to one a day. I hope this means that the crowds won't be as large as they might have thought!

I wish they would make up their minds. Its so hard to plan things when they keep changing EMH. :sad2:

Thanks all.

I agree with Karibeth and hope this means it will not be as crowded as people here are saying!

Good trips to everyone :flower:

Thanks for the heads up! I changed all my spreadsheets yesterday to add the new ones. Guess I'll change them again!

Nope, it wasn't your imagination.
They added a bunch, then took them away.
As of a couple days ago, during the first week in May, Epcot, MK, and DS each had one day with both morning and evening EMH's.
I thought having an evening EMH on the same day as a morning EMH was a little odd, but I thought maybe it would make the morning's even less crowded with everyone planning to stay late. Now they changed it back.

I really do wish they would make up their mind. Don't they know we are all trying to plan our days around their schedules?

Jeez - I too wish they'd pick a schedule and stick to it

This is just a guess, but I suspect that the change means that larger crowds are expected... Larger crowds -> extended park hours for all guests -> fewer EMH. (Sorry to be a downer.)

But they didn't extend the hours. They just added a bunch of EMH's about 2 weeks ago, then removed them a couple days ago.

Thanks for the heads up! I was excited to hear about all the EMH's in May, but always thought it was strange that they had a morning & an evening EMH at the same park for the same day. I guess I'll have to make sure I check back again before we go. I'm glad I never got around to changing any of our PS's! :)

I think they will add regular hours too. But when?

Grrr...usually I just go with the flow, but this is silly - taking them away just after they added them. I *JUST* changed all my ressies. This really is lame...

N.E.D.

I guess I'll keep checking to see if they extend park hours. If they do, that's bad news in terms of crowds.

I think this is really poor management on Disney's part. They only release hours 60 days before because they don't want to make alot of changes, but then they still continually change them. Adding EMH's and then canceling them a week later was really bad.

I had changed my ps's because of this. Hope I dont get MISS SNOTTY again. I told her I needed to adjust my times she said "we dont do that" what do you mean we dont do that "we can reschedule only" okay well anyway seemed the same thing to me. So I asked her if she needed the old ress. number and she said "No I told you we cant do that I have to check for availability at a new time and start over with a new reservation" Okay whatever. So then where do you want to eat - Princess story book. She actually laughed at me said "I dont think so mam those book up 90 days out" but not an apologetic dont think so just a you gotta be kidding. So I asked her if she could please check it. I get a real sarcastic 'alriiiiiiiiiight' and sure enough availability for anything i wanted. Cinderella at 1900 was a bit different but I had decided to just take the breakfast on that anyway and that was available whenever. But I do see that it was booking up and I dont want to not be able to get a good seating just because they keep changing the emh's.
