Did someone call the coastguard?

I am watching Fox News and there is a sailboat on the inland waterway near Juno Beach struggling to get ashore. Geraldo is doing the play by play, saying what the helmsman must do to stay afloat. In all of this, I wonder if someone called the coastguard and if they did, would it help?

What are these fools doing out on the water? It's a tough call but part of me doesn't think the Coast Guard should risk any of it's crew to save people who ignore warnings given for days.

Geraldo just reported that the "locals" informed them that these boats were brought in from sea/whatever yesterday, anchored and the crews left them there.

NO people are at risk.

The anchor lines are very long, which is why it appeared there was someone there.
