Every review that I have seen in the last month or so for 1900 PF has been horrible. I am rethinking this place, and considering booking a dinner elsewhere. I was actually kind of looking forward to it, but now i'm not so sure. Does anyone have positive reviews of the place recently?

I have also seen a lot of bad reviews. I'm a little surprised. I haven't been there recently. The last time we were there was 2009, but we enjoyed it. The food wasn't fabulous, but it wasn't bad. I think there are much worse buffets at WDW. The characters are great. The step sisters are very entertaining. Overall, we had a good time.

We were there in December and it was ok; not the best food, but not horrible either. As the pp said, the step sisters were great....we had a good time with them :goodvibes.

Hi
I'm sorry I don't have a better opinion of it. The step sisters are so much fun, but we didn't like the food at all. It's a shame, because the food was so delicious before they switched to the new menu. We loved it there, but we won't go back.

The Characters were fun, however the food was gross and the atmosphere was horrible.

Can I ask what's on the buffet? I'm deciding between Boma & this place for a trip at the end of the month. I think my son would love the characters much more than the food at Boma but I still want to make sure he eats.

What all did they change on the menu? We have ressies there too and am wondering if I should jump to somewhere else.

I think they still have the old buffet menu listed on allears, so you can look up the old menu. Now they have stations representing countries, and the food choices weren't good, and it didn't taste good. I forget what we ate, but I know we didn't like it. I think I only liked the strawberry soup, salad and the dessert.

It depends on what you like and what kind of evening you're looking for. Last summer, I took my girls and we went w/ my cousin and her daughter. The kids got matching dresses and were very excited to meet the characters. However, it was a zoo! A ZOO! The food was bland and uninteresting and it was a total scrum for the food and for the meet and greets. You know those Old Country Buffet places you see by the mall? Well, I imagine that's exactly what it's like.
HOWEVER, the kids had fun.

I think I am going to cancel. I'm not so sure my 4 boys will be into it anyways, but I knew the girls would be.
Now I have to choose between Liberty tree and Boma. It's pretty much all that's available for that day!

I agree with those posting here. The food was just gross. Sorry! The character interaction was fun though. I've ate at Liberty Tree, lunch only (not a fixed menu). It was one of our best meals on our last trip. We will be returning next trip also!!!!!! The lunch menu still has the pot roast and turkey but also some sandwiches etc. We picked the Colony Salad - Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar and grilled chicken tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette. It was soooo good! For dessert we split Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake and the Apple Tart. Both were wonderful! I cannot wait to go back!!!!!!

I completely agree with these statements. The food and atmosphere are not very good. I was really disappointed with the food. But i still think you should try it and form your own opinion. The stepsisters are a lot of fun.

I would also vote that you go to Liberty Tree. AWESOME food!!!! :thumbsup2

Wow, I guess I'm one of the only ones that likes 1900 Park Fare. OP, we were there for dinner the last week of August and the food was great. I found the buffet much better than others we were at (i.e. Crystal Palace). Character interaction is a lot of fun. The only negative comment from me is that it is a bit of an unorganized place overall (particularly at check-in).

Thanks for posting! I'm going to keep my reservation there just to check it out... I'm better off going on this trip with just my son than taking an extra 3 people there and paying all that extra money for an awful meal (if that's what it really is). I'm not a fan of Crystal Palace so as long as it's better than that :)

I personally dont think 1900 PF dinner is better than CP. Just my opinion thou. Have fun! hope you enjoy your meal. :goodvibes

I hate to agree with most pp, but it wasn't our favorite meal.

The only time we ate there was in 2006 for dinner. The place was crazy busy and crowded, with a super long wait even with an ADR. The tables are very close together, so walking to the buffet added to the mayhem. The calliope that erupted every few minutes just tipped me into sensory overload.:scared1:

I am not rushing to get back there to retry.

We went in Jan of 09 and I thought the food was horrible. I actually left hungry. ILs and DH liked the beef (prime rib I think). I made a mental note to not go there again. Well, guess who DD wanted to eat with on her 3rd birthday? Cinderella. It was 1900 PF, the castle or Akershus. Castle was out on price and bad food reviews. We had eaten at Akershus a year and a half ago and didn't care for the food. Menu is still the same, so we don't want to go back. So, we're left with 1900 PF. We're really just going for the characters and hoping it'll be better than last time. At least you know you'll get great character interaction! If you don't have girls who are into the princesses, I'd probably switch though.

Sorry that I cannot tell you different but the food was horrible and the long wait past our reservation time and the bad service gives it a "Never try again" from us. Even the kids were unhappy and didnt enjoy any of the foods, except gummy bears.

The character interaction was incredible though.

We cancelled our reservation when they got rid of the ice cream machine. That was DDs favorite part.
