Did I make a big Mistake? ATA

We just purchased our tickets four our December trip and I bought them through ATA. After reading this board I have seen a lot of people NOT buying tickets with ATA. Did I do something major wrong? I sure hope not!

We only flew one other time and it was with ATA last October. Are flights are from Ind to MCO. Please tell me I didn't do a stupid thing.
Wanted to add that our flight is out of Indianapolis.. Help!!

If you bought them for your upcoming trip at the end of this month, I'll bet you'll be alright. No one wants to buy from them now because of how unstable they are. However, I think that since IND to MCO is one of their "bigger" flights, and it is so close, you'll be fine. I wouldn't worry to much! Have a wonderful trip!

I didn't buy them for our upcoming trip I bought them for our December trip. Does that mean I will lose what I paid if they stop the flights or anything changes??

The way I understand it is, if you buy the tickets with a credit card and the flight doesn't happen, you can get your money back. I believe ATA is also affiliated with SWA now, so maybe SWA would take over the flight if ATA goes belly up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

DW and I have booked trips on ATA from IND to Las Vegas for this July and then again in Sept.. Maybe I should be worried, but maybe I'm too stupid to be.

I was wondering the same thing. We flew w/ ATA, in 2003, but used NWA, in April, 2005, IND-MCO. I found a really decent flight w/ ATA, but was hesitant, due to the problems at the beginning of the year.

Thanks everyone! I guess I will not worry about it at this time. I am sure in the end if something does happen we will be able to work something else out.
