Did I do the right thing - waitlists, AKV and VWL???

So - I have had this waitlist to have the last 4 nights at our 2-BR l/o in Kidani for months now. We have had those 4 nights scheduled at VWL. So DH, says to me last night, we should really cancel that waitlist because I really do want to try some other places (plus we want to do the water mice, etc.) So I call this morning and the CM seemed surprised when I wanted to cancel and put me on hold. Well, he came back on and said that my waitlist had actually been matched but not transferred over yet. So after what seemed like an eternity of agonizing over staying the whole time at AKV or transferring over to VWL, I decided to go ahead and cancel the waitlist and stick with VWL.

I'm sure that VWL will be nice but I can't help but kick myself for not keeping that waitlist. I know I would be second guessing myself no matter which decision I made!!!

OH, and the CM said that it seems that there are quite a few cancellations coming in now (as others have reported.) I'm happy that I had the choice between 2 things I wanted but a bit sad that so many people are in the position where they can't take their vacations.

think I would have kept the AKV - and go with VWL next year.

yea - it does seem some members can't go - so sad.
