Did Double Dipping FP Just End?

Well we all know how accurate information from CMs can be.

Just sayin'. ;)

All saying precisely the exact thing? "Be sure to use your KTTW card to pull extra fast passes!"

And when I questioned then because I thought MB / FP+ was replacing the legacy system, they all said the same thing, we are giving you both so you can use KTTW if necessary, and so you won't be limited to just the 3FP+!

I don't see that FP+ is related to this. The old system was very orderly and easy to understand for those that tried. It definitely wouldn't work if you tried to use old KTTW cards which seems to be an odd feature of the current system during FP+ implementation. :confused3

I've only used FP- once a few weeks ago at DL (and loved it) so I have no idea if the old cards being used is a new FP+ issue or an existing issue.

My point is it seems that every time people find a loophole in the system Disney overreacts with a policy change and these boards erupt. If people would quit gaming the system maybe Disney would stop changing systems that work.

In the last few months the GAC has been completely redone to limit abuse, the soda machines have been completely redone to limit abuse, and now we're reading about people already abusing FP+ with the FP- loophole, these same people will probably be the first to complain when Disney shuts off FP- completely.

I just read his complete article and from what Josh says it sounds like possibly some resorts or even just some visitors will no longer get KTTW cards. Wow, that seems odd.

Well it's all hearsay of course, but others on here have reported being told differently. So they don't all say the exact same thing. Which is my point. But it doesn't matter anyway, because as is expected, Disney is doing away with KTTW cards for some starting on the 27th.

It will be interesting.

FWIW, I checked into AKL for one night on 10/15. They asked if I had my MB but did not give me a KTTW. I didn't even realize it until I got to the room. Not sure if that wa an error or if they were starting to phase out KTTW.

It's only hearsay if I heard them tell someone else. They were telling me!

Once again, as per previous information, including what easywdw is now reporting...

KTTW cards are not disappearing. You can still get one if you ask for one. It just might not work in legacy FP machines.

I have a "What if...." situation for everyone to think about. Here's our situation - We have X number of days on property at Disney and Y number of days afterwards off property but still going to Disney parks. We, of course, were forced to get Magic Bands because you really can't opt out even though Disney tells you that you can. We set up our FP+'s BUT Disney only allows us to book X days of FP+ because it's not available to off-site guests yet. So what do I do for the other Y days over Thanksgiving break if we can't pull FP's on the Y days because EVERYTHING we have is attached to the MB??????

Yes I know....sucks to be my family. :rotfl:

We checked into POR on Saturday and were issued KTTW along with our bands.

So far we have been to every park except for AK, and we have had access to paper FP.

We are at Disney now, and have had no trouble getting paper fast passes. Our keys work, and we even asked about if we can get FPs. Answer was yes.

You need a card if you have a car to park. The gate at Wilderness Lodge at least has not been upgraded yet.

That don't sound like hearsay to me..

The legal definition of hearsay, is if someone tells me that a CM told THEM that they were able to use their KTTW cards to obtain legacy fast passes, but I did not observe/witness the CM doing so, then me using that story to draw a conclusion is considered hearsay.

A CM speaking to me on the phone or in person, and telling me that I am able to use my KTTW card for legacy fast passes is not hearsay.

Of course you did! That's the way they designed the test as evidenced by the questions on the survey they are distributing post visit!

I'd be willing to bet that they have to take the KTTW cards away to stop the double dipping. They can't stop it any other way. So that's how they are going to give whomever is forced into this no other option.

This is kind of what I was thinking. How could they hand out KTTW cards and simply turn them off to paper fast passes? I don't think KTTW cards or the paper fast pass machines are advanced enough to have the programming where valid KTTW cards could be cut off from utilizing FPs.

If guests aren't getting KTTW cards that work with the legacy system it will be interesting to see if AP holders saying on site with the bands will still have working AP for the legacy machines.

It could be that they want to get feedback from guests who CAN'T get regular FP...
