Did anyone wear a watch on her wedding day?

I am nearly compulsive about checking the time. Hazard of my profession, I'd guess. :sad2: Did anyone wear a watch with their wedding gown? If so, where did you find it? My jewelry is all silver tone and the only watch I have that I've worn with an evening gown, etc. is gold-tone. So, I am trying to find a reasonable solution. Any ideas?

What about a locket/pendant watch that you can keep in your gorgeous purse? :goodvibes

I never really looked at the time on our wedding day after I left the room - I figured our planner would keep everything on schedule.

Carrie -- since I figure I won't be carrying the purse all the time, I probably shouldn't count on putting the watch in there. I'm afraid I'll drive everyone nuts asking the time, especially in the hours leading up to when we'll meet up with our kids and then the time before we head over to the WP. I am really weird that way. I actually considered putting a locket watch where you put your vows, but I am already concerned the gown won't fit. I can't imagine adding anything that might take up a millimeter of all that needed space! :lmao:

I'm compulsive about time too, but not on my wedding day... people are going to be asked alot about what time it is though! :goodvibes :rotfl: ;)

I can't live without my watch and I found this cute silver/gold mickey mouse bracelet watch at Kohl's. It has CZ between each head.

I left mine off and really I did not think about it like I thought I would :confused3 I can also tell you that Randy didn't want me to wear a watch during our couple wedding portraits we did on our recent honeymoon trip either. I took it off and Rick stowed it in his suit pocket!

I would die without my watch, seriously. It has to be OCD or something.

I have a formal yellow and white gold watch that i used to wear, before Dh bought me a Tinkerbell watch for Mother's Day. I also have a gold mickey head watch he bought me 2 xmas's ago. Haven't thought about what i'll wear on the VR day, but you can be sure i'll have something on.

FTR - dh made me remove my watch for the ceremony only for our wedding. It was right back on in the limo afterwards!! :rotfl:

I own that watch, it's my everyday watch. I purchased it at our local Wal-Mart. I love it, but because I never take it off, the color is rubbing off.

I'm not sure I am going to wear a watch for the VR. I hadn't really thought about it until you brought it up Cam. I think I'm just going to wear a bracelet and no watch.

This is something I have been thinking about also. I ALWAYS wear a watch. When I went to try on my gown I had my everyday Mickey watch on (silver and gold tone) and it looked too clunky. I will be looking for a smaller Mickey watch for our wedding day. Something with a narrow band - maybe with rinestones and an oval face. I am sure there will be times when I will wear it and times that I will want to take it off and store in my bag but I definately want to have something with me. Also my DF NEVER wears a watch. He always uses his phone for the time and I do not want him wearing his phone on his waist under his tux and creating bumps.

Cross-posted from my PJ because I found my watch.
Found this one on ebay yesterday, lost the bid, got a second chance offer and Howard said it would go nicely with the already-procured "ear and neck blingage". LOL!

The price was good and the seller seems to have a great reputation. It is a liquidator of sorts, and they have some really great looking watches at what seem to be reasonable prices. I restrained myself from even looking at the details on the cutest PINK COACH watch. :lovestruc

Once it arrives and I check it out, I'll be glad to share the name of the seller and other details via PM, in case anyone else is interested.

FYI,

The Mickey watch posted also comes in a stainless steel/crystal version available at WOD. DF bought it for me on our last trip and I LOVE it! it wears like a bracelet so you could easily get away with it. I'll try and post a picture later.

i am actually a watch nut too..i don't go ANYWHERE without it..it isn't just a watch, it is a piece of jewerly because it cost more than my wedding rings!!
In fact, I had to check my pictures to remember if I wore it or not..but I did not..

I now remember locking it in the safe before I went to dress in my friends room...probably good since my wedding coordinator was late coming to get me..if I had my watch, I would have been MORE of a wreck!! LOL
