They seemed to be doing a "soft opening" of sorts with Magical Express. I don't believe they were picking up at the airport, but you could return to the airport via the service. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it? How long it took? If it seemed more convenient?

Currently, ME busses are being used for regular Mears Service, as the transition moves towards ME.

Keep in mind, alot of vans and older coaches are coming off the road as ME busses go on. Can't be done with the flip of a switch.

I'm sure that's true, but we were offered use of Magical Express back to the airport from POFQ as part of a test. We were actually leaving from AKL and already had paid for round trip town car, so we declined. I was just wondering if anyone had used the service during this trial?

I respectfully disagree. Experiences and opinions of a soft opening - be it a ride, a show, a restaurant or a service - are always (IMHO) of interest.

I know a CM who was helping with a ME test run from the Cont over a month ago. (from Cont to the airport) And other resorts were involved if I recall correctly.
So I kept thinking long ago we would be reading about the test run. But nada that I am aware.
