Did anyone go to halloween horror night?

There are lots of us who went and several threads on it. Go back to page 5, 6, and 7 on this forum and look for threads with the letters "HHN" in them.

Yes, many of us went, here's my page from this year.

I think of it as entertainment, and they do a good job.
Kinda like watching a show, except you're walking thru it.

yes i went and loved every minute of it. in fact, i am presently planning next years trip.

i go usually the second weekend of october. i used to go the first weekend but like the second better as all the kinks are worked out then.

the rest of the month is too crowded for me.
i buy the express pass plus for hhn and hhn tix as soon as they go on sale.

during the day i concentrate on the rides.
in the evening i concentrate on the houses and scare zones.
always stay on site for 4 days.

i try to do each house 3 times each night. there are two different teams: team A and B..the scare actors work i think 40 minutes on and then break. thats when the next team replaces them. this alternates the entire evening.
i try to time it in order to see both teams at work in the houses.

if you go, do the stay and scream and get a head start on the houses.

bill and teds adventure was kewl this year, much better than the last 2.

sorry, i get carried away when someone mentions hhn.........
now, what was your question??? :rolleyes1

What date did it start this year we are in orlando 9/21-10/05 next year and i was hoping to see it.

this hhn season started on September 30th a friday.
it went for 5 weekends plus some week days in mid october.

hhn season for 2006 might start early again but i am not counting on it. i would have to know for sure.
friday is sept 29, sat would be the 30th and 1st of october 06 would be a sunday. if hhn would start on the first full weekend then that would be friday oct 6 and only run for 4 weekends.

we know universal would never do that and cut back one weekend. quite possible they could start it off on that friday, end of sept.

i usually book my trips in advance, far in advance and this year will be doing the oct 6-7-8 weekend. once i book my air and on site hotel, i can't change it. i would have a totally fit if i booked the sept/oct date and find out this coming summer no hhn that weekend. know what i mean??

if you have to know now, call universal or email them for the 411.

In next years case, the first weekend will be the 29th/30th. In my post i used the word "usually" years like next year are an exception.

No one at Universal can answer your question. It is just too early to know yet. Don't make any vacation plans around HHN right now.

that's why i scheduled this year's october hhn trip for the second weekend
i wasn't sure it would start on sept 30 a friday.

for my 2006 trip, i am scheduling it to start on friday oct 6......just can't screw up and miss out on 3 days of hhn....

i book my disney room in late december, book hrh in january, book the air in february, buy universal tickets around march, then buy the hhn tickets when they come out in the summer.
i book and buy one month at a time so i can pay it all off in advance and not wreck my budget.

it gets overwhelming sometimes trying to coordinate the dates i need. everything has to fall into place for it to work. IE: hhn dates, hotel availability, etc.

thanx for the help phampton

Sounds like you have a good plan, Macraven. Can't wait to see you again!

phamton, i think i am more excited planning my october 2006 trip to universal more than Christmas!!

sure do want you to go on MIB with me next year!
counting on it !!
