Did anyone get Pop AP rate for early Dec?

I've got a ressie for Pop 12/4-12/11. I called at 8:30 m time which is 9:30 WDW time and nothing was left for Pop. I'm using a TA for the first time and am hoping she got right on it but hasn't had time to email me.

So my question is: Did anyone get an AP rate for Pop for 12/4-12/11 or are they so booked with PopWarner and MouseFest that it wasn't offered?

I'm hoping my TA applies the Dining card deal to my ressie. I wonder if I have to let her know about it or if she already knows.

the dining card deal is only on select check in dates, which in december is the 9-15, i believe.
because of pop warner, i don't think it's likely you'll get a discount at POP for your time frame, unless perhaps you split the ressie and check in again on the 9th.
last year i tried to use the fall code that week, but had to book a mod.

We got the AP rate at Pop the week after your dates. We check in 12/13.
The AP rate was $59 ($66.37 per night)

We had a reservation at Pop for Nov 29-Dec 9. They would not allow us to apply the discount. The CM said there was nothing available. We could have upgraded to CBR or CSR for $50 more than Pop. So we upgraded.

I found it interesting--I was looking for 12/6-12/17 at the Pop. Initially I called and they said it was available, but that there was some technical difficulty that prevented them from finalizing the reservation. They told me to call back later that day.

I called back later that day, and now they said that there was nothing for the Pop for those dates at the AP code, and that there was only ASMu and ASp. Frustrated, I put a courtesy hold on those dates at ASMu.

I called back again, right after, and this time was told that there was nothing for anything but ASp. This time they said that there probably had been no availability for Pop earlier either, but that it was the technical error that made it look like it was available.

After doing some fuming, I checked online. After playing a little with the dates, I found that I could get the AP discount on 12/7-12/17, so I booked that, with the expectation that I'll either pay rack for 12/6, or stay a day over at ASMu before moving to the Pop.

So what I take from this is that, apparently, if a hotel's not available for all of the dates you ask, the computer doesn't display to the CM which specific days are available--otherwise I assume someone would have said "hey, it's available for all but one of your days." Of course I also found that the first CM was very nice and helpful, but the two I got later in the day were very abrupt and would only answer direct questions, volunteering no additional information or pleasantries. I was holding on the line for the survey at the end of one of the calls, when the CM came back on line and asked what I wanted. When I said I was waiting for the survey, she just said "oh" and clicked off.

For the best chance, I would advise checking all permutations of what you would accept online right before or even during your call, because the CMs don't seem like they can/will do it for you, and that way you can just ask them for what you think is available. The CMs in the AM also seem to be better disposed than the ones in the PM, from my sample size of 3.

My TA tried for Pop for me (on hold for nearly 2 hours she said and then their system was down! they had to call her back) for 12/13-16 but could only get AS-Mu or Sp.. so we took Mu... and am suppose to have the $20 dining credit but there wasn't anything on the confirmation she emailed me? I did get it for the $66.67 per night (w/tax). She did say that they told her I had the credit because they commented it was for only one night.

My TA is on vacation but she let me know that she was able to get my Pop ressie switched over to the AP rate. I don't understand how she could manage that when people were calling in first thing to get Pop at AP rate. It's not that I don't believe her it's just that I am amazed and dumbfounded. I can't wait til she gets back so she can send me an updated ressie. At this point, I think my TA rocks.
