Did Anyone Get a Deal this Morning?

Got through and got the first person all morning to know what the discount was, one tried to tell me it was a pin attached to my name and I didn't have it. Um, no LOL I got the S/P/D plan for boardwalk marathon weekend and save a little over $600, it is a short stay from Jan 10-13, so I will take it

In case anyone cares... they quoted me $3046 for POFQ and $3046 for Caribbean Beach. Said only had jr. suites at Coronado.

What dates are you staying? My SIL is planning to be at Coronado Springs from 2/3-2/7, but only if the deal is available there!

I sat and calculated the deal last night to almost the penny, including tax. Well as close as I could ffrom what the Disney visa deal was, the CM I got was not very knowledgeable and I had to push her to get the deal, but it is still over $200 more than I had calculated. I am going to the website and see if she put in the correct details. Also for those trying to use Q69 she told me that that was a private pin and couldn't be used by me.

The CM's seem very confused this morning....don't try to calculate on your own - the discount prices never match up to what they see on their system or what I have seen online - I don't know if it is a tax thing or admin fee but it is always off

Ok, crisi averted and things straightened out...I was right and a different promotion code was used. That little code made a $149 difference! So here's our package:

Janaury 24, 2013 - January 31, 2013 (7Nights/8Days)
Animal Kingdom Lodge - Pool View
8 Day Park Hopper Tickets, 2 Adults
Dining Plan
Original Rack Rate: $3867.78
Our Cost: $3,052.00
Total Savings: $815.78!!

Definitely a big change from original plan we had for Coronado Springs - Water View-King we had...the original cost for all of the above with the CSR room would have been $3161.26.
So we were able to upgrade and get all of the above for $109.26 LESS THAN CORONADO SPRINGS!!!

No, there is a page on the Disney website that discusses the benefits of using a Disney package that people mistook for a deal...(the dates they are referring to are the sample pricing dates at the bottom of this page)

My problem was that this particular CM told me that the inital package that I booked previously had the Disney Visa package discount and then she said she couldn't add the s/p/d to it. I don't own a Disney Visa. The initial package I booked online was days ago and had zero discount built in, deliberately, so I could see how much I was saving. The CM just really seemed in the weeds on this one. She also told me that "you can't upgrade to DP from QS". I told her I had done it before and I was happy to add that part later on a different day. She just didn't ooze confidence in any of the details. However, I kept working with her and she said she would have to check with her supervisor if the discount was even available. Eventually I was able to upgrade to DP and did save over $ 700 , so I am satisfied. My point is you have to keep asking and had I not had a calculation of what was in the ballpark, and what I had been able to do on previous trips to WDW (like pay to upgrade dining)she wouldn't have kept looking.

I just ran a quote on my own through the site...I don't think that's it...not big enough of a difference to be caused by the non-expiration option. I'm thinking it might be the CM could have used a different discount code because she didn't specifiy which code she was using.

I'm not sure what the Cast Member had used, but I mentioned to the second one to apply the "Z3K" code and it came out to the price you get from booking a package with that promotion currently in the "Special Offers" page. I'm ecstatic and so happy about the AMAZING deal we got!

I had calculated what I thought it would be using kids DDP and tix with rack rate hotel and this is $150 cheaper- not sure how but I am thrilled.
