Did Anyone Get a Deal this Morning?

As Neerersmom mentioned above, the package is now online! The figure I was quoted during the Visa promo period last week is accruate - yay!! Just called and spoke to my AAA TA who has been trying this morning to re-price my package. ::yes::

oops - should be P/S/D offer per their website. Whatever - I'll take the savings!!!

My previous reservation
01/08 thru 01/12
AoA
3 day base ticket
no dining
so I changed to POP and added Regular Dining and one more day at the park and my balance only went up $347.44. I felt like it was a good deal and that is all that matters. Our whole trip including airfare came in under $3K so I am happy!! :)

I just calculated what our trip will be with the SPD package and it will save us a little under $600 - it's not as good as FD, but I'll take it.

Booked POP for Feb 24th to March 8th for 2 adults 2 kids (age 11 and 9) QSP and 10 day passes. Through the stay play dine package for $3507.

JUST GOT IT!

I had a previously booked reservation for POFQ, 2 adults plus a 5 yo. Feb 2-6, 4 day park hopper.

I just called to add the S/P/D plan (adding the regular dining plan) and it is costing us an extra $51. :cool1:

I also got my parents' reservation (2 adults, Feb 2-6, 4 day park hopper) fixed to add dining with the S/P/D plan as well. It cost them an extra $22 to add the dining plan.

Oh yeah. I'm happy!

Woo Hoo! Total time from dialing to hanging up was 8 minutes. I called at 9:45. Here are our details

All Star Movies
2 adults, 2 kids (6 & 2)
8 days, 7 nights
5 day park hopper
Magic your way Plus Dining

Original Price - $2751.72
SPD Price- $ 2265.16
Savings::::: $486.56!!!!

I am so happy! Good luck to everyone calling in!:cool1:

Made it through! :yay: :cool1: :yay: Spent an hour on the phone from 7-8 this morning (was told to call back later), then again from 10:15-11:15 before finally getting through! The s/p/d deal is even better than I had calculated out on my own--and actually even better than the s/p/d deal I was quoted online while I screwed around on hold.

Here's my deal:
BC for 4 nights 2/3-2/7
standard dining
5 day tickets non-hoppers
2 adults, 2 jrs (kids paying as adults), 1 child:
$3089
(online quoted me $3134!)

I saved $811 over the normal rate for my trip. (R/O would have saved me $690)

I actually upgraded my 9 year old DD to an adult (age 10) for the meal plan deal--she will have too much food for her, but many more choices--and it didn't cost me a penny more to do it.

Great Disney CM on the phone--they must be stressed out this morning with all of the computer problems, but she was so cheerful and helpful.

Passing on some pixie dust for all: pixiedust:

I called right at 7AM this morning to update my existing reservation. I'm assuming the CM applied the s/p/d code. He was not overly friendly or talkative so I didn't push him:laughing:

2/1/13-2/8/13
2 adults 2 kids (1 infant)
POR Preferred Room
8 day MYW base tickets
Regular Dining plan

$3035

My original package price was $3885. I'm definitely happy with the savings as that will now account for our airfare. We were hoping to keep the vacation cost under $4000. I am curious, however, how this discount is calculated. It seems like other DISers are saving a bigger %:confused3

Good Luck to all!

Just got off the phone and was able to change our early Jan R/O BC res from AAA to the new 35%!! Not a long wait on the phone, either, so that sure made my day! :goodvibes

my travel agent applied our discount this morning to our existing reservation but I priced out other options online just to be sure we got the best deal.

She said its a package component discount that discounts all three parts of your package. room/tickets/dining thats why its so hard to figure on our own.

I had ours figured pretty close just using the adults pay kids prices on tickets and dining but the actual discount was a little cheaper so wonder if they are also taking maybe 5% off the room or something... anyway got a good discount so not complaining. :thumbsup2

1/26 - 2/1
POR - Riverside (Garden View)
2 adults and 3 children -- one child at adult prices for tickets and meals
7 Day Hoppers
DDP
Previous: $4,600
S/P/D: $3,518
Savings: $1,082

First two calls, system was down. Second call, bad CM(didn't even know there WERE any) I thought at first it might be a joke, she was so curt! Maybe she was overwhelmed but since I was not having a magical experience, I asked to be redirected and finally we changed our Feb 12-18 booking at AoA, LM room to a PSD at POP, with QS dining and a 4 day MYW pass and: original price $1538, today's quote $1591. So it cost just $53 to get QS dining! I'm a happy camper. :cool1: :cool1:

Good luck to all. Here's some pixie dust!pixiedust:

I got a very good deal for POFQ. My dates are February 6-15 and after applying the promo code my total was $2,700,23 I saved $798.60 to be exact!

booked 2 rooms at the polynesian, jan 11-16 - 35% off rack rate. Somehow we have gone from 2 rooms at Pop to 2 rooms at POR to 2 rooms at the Poly. how did this happen?

A couple of FYIs-
SPD is not available for less than 5 nights-I tried this out on the site and it won't let you input a shorter trip.
RO discount drops by 5% for MLK (1/18-1/20) on deluxes-30% excluding WL, 20% on WL.

It looks like some of your dates fall in the blackout period. I bet that is why.

Maggie

I think the PP said their savings was $1082, not their package price pirate:

must be lunch break time because I have been on hold for over 50 minutes now. I was on hold for over an hour this morning and had to give up. I really hope someone picks up soon because this Disney music is starting to get on my nerves. :rotfl2:
