Did anyone else get this strange code..

I just got mail from disney Destinations LLC with a code for "5 night/6day vacation package for a family of 5 at a select Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel suite accommodation." It also says stay near the magic at a select Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel...just a short drive from Walt Disney Resort. I find this kind of strange that disney is now pushing occupancy for non Disney hotels. Dates are 6/1 to 8/15. Anyone else get this??

Why not call and get the info? FInd out which resorts, what the price range is, what it includes.

Could it possibly be Swan/Dolphin?

I called and it is a package deal which includes Tix. It is for the non disney hotels in downtown disney. The CM said they book those hotels all the time when disney hotels are booked. Pretty interesting.

I got that via snail mail 2 days ago....it came addressed to my SIL at my address, since I booked our vacation that she joined us on 2 years ago, they have my address for her.
i thought it was strange, it did say on their to call them about other hotels or dates of stay, packages, etc.

I received the very same offer!! I called right off the bat because I did not realize it was an off-site resort. Disney Good Friends hotels are hotels like Embassay Suites and Caribe Royale Orlando which are near WDW!! These are non-disney hotels with no disney benefits!! No DP, no EMH...


I called again tonight to see if the deal could apply for an upgrade and the CM said NOPE!! She said they received un update yesterday regarding this code.

Why would they try to send us off-site???? It made me very sad!!

Neither are the Good Neighbors in Anaheim, but you can book through disneyland.com for them!

And with Disneyland, all the benefits, except for Magic Mornings, apply, including DLR's sad excuse for a dining plan.

I to got this in the mail. I happen to be visiting my folks this week and got their mail. I opened up the box and saw it in there and thought my heart was going to stop.....until I opened it up and it wasn't for a Disney hotel. I just found that very very odd. At least I do know that there really ARE discount codes out there now LOL though!! Maybe I'll luck out and get another one for our Dec. trip!! Also, not really sure why my husbands name with my folks address was on that. Last trip we took with them was like several years ago........very odd if you ask me.

Everyone must remember this offer by mail was sent by a travel agency. Don't forget that Disney Travel is a travel company that can make commission off of any type of travel, whether it is at/on Disney or not.

WDTC offers packages with Good Neighbor Hotels.
Just like DDP, it doesn't fit everyone's needs, but works very well for some. Families with 5+ may have an easier time getting accomodations they need. Plus, gasp. some guests may want to visit somewhere other than Disney. (Sad, but true. )
If the price and opportunity was right I would give it a try.
I agree, the magic just would not be there near as much. But...

I also got this code offer, the opportunity to stay at Good Neighbor Hotels for $52 per person for a family of 5. isnt there one hotel at downtown disney that will let you go to EMH?

I am pretty sure that the Hilton at DTD offers EMH...morning and night!
