I ordered one for our babysitter, thinking it looked like a nice "thank you" from us for watching my kids last year (she's an adult who watches them while I am at school) and she called me to thank me, but she made it sound like it wasn't all that. She said it's a nice "small basket." Not sure if that was a dig or if the basket really was puny and not worth the $60 it was supposed to be :confused3 . Can anyone confirm if it was piddly or not? I asked her if she got the fruit that was supposed to come with it, after reading here that some orders were missing it. She said she thought it was in the bottom of the basket, but didn't confirm it.

No, but when my uncle received it, he named most if not all the stuff advertised was there. Hopefully someone else can give a first hand report.

Wow, kind of rude that she'd call it a 'small basket' to you....did you ask her to describe it to you or did she just spit that out? I didn't order any of them, because I'm leary of any basket like that without seeing it first. I always try to order locally, or things that I've seen others receive that were nice....it's so hard to judge things online.

A basket that "might have fruit in the bottom of it" doesn't sound small to me - unless there were just a few blueberries rolling around down there!

I bought one for Mom and one for us (decided it would be fun to get it ). It is really nice for $20, IMO. The fruit, apples and pears, are in the bottom and there was sausage, cheese, crackers, baklava, some wonderful truffles, preserves and mustard. Nothing big, but still nice. I love H/D, so I thought it was sort of a fun treat. OP, your babysitter sounds like she must have had a bad day or something; I would have loved to have gotten this as just a "little something extra".

Forgot to add: there was a 10$ off 20 purchase card, too!

I ordered it for myself. It did have everything it claimed to be included but it didn't look very big "in person". In all fairness, I should have realized that it would be compact for shipping, e.g., fruit (4 pieces) on bottom of basket and nothing artfully arranged as in picture or on one that was bought and hand delivered locally.
I have never ordered from them before so have no basis for comparison as to whether this was a "discount" basket presentation or what they always ship.

I have not gotten mine yet , but I did send one to my realtor and he called today to say how nice it was . He said it smelled wonderful and his wife didnt want him to eat the fruit because it was so perfect looking with no blemishes LOL

I will have to report when ours gets here , I cant remember what I sent to the firehouse dang it but I will ask when they get it how it looked.

I would ask her for the basket when you go to get the kids and hand her some fruit from the market in a plastic bag . ;)

I ordered one for myself to be delivered next Monday.
4571VG HARRY'S COLLECTION 01-26-2009 [Reg: $39.95]
NOW: $19.95 1 $19.95
It came to $19.21 applying a discount, free shipping, and adding back tax.

I ordered this too but I'm giving to myself right before baby comes ... at that point, anything, whether large or small will be great to snack on!

Some people just don't appreciate gifts as "gifts" and treat them as "to be expected"...

I ordered one for my DD's physical therapist that was delivered today. I haven't spoken with her yet so I don't know what it looked like. I'm a little anxious now because I also ordered one to be delivered to a friend next month. Maybe I should cancel that order and order something bigger?:confused3

trying to find that link again...does it still exhist?
I order for my mom for her bday...she called and was happy about it.

now DH wants me to order one for his mom for her bday next mo...

I ordered this for my mom for her birthday and it arrived yesterday. She loved it! As she was telling me everything listed in the basket I asked where was the fruit? She said has had fruit too! If I would not have told her as it was packed very well on the bottom, she said she would have just left it displayed on her table for a while. This gift got me the best reaction from her for a gift in years. I must remember to check them again after christmas as she really liked it.

I've got one delivering tommorrow to us, it should have the qtys listed online, probably not stuffed with something on the bottom like most presentation baskets since its shipped.

Well maybe it was better than I am thinking. I could be a little overly sensitive as I didn't really have $20 to give her a gift (dh lost his job 6 wks ago), but I wanted her to know that we were thinking of her and when I saw the sale I jumped on it. It's always nice to get a surprise treat delivered, I think. Maybe I read too much into the "small" comment :) . I hope she did look for the fruit when I asked her if there was some included!

How rude of your babysitter!!! I think it was a lovely thing you did for her and SO rude of her to act so Blase and say it was "Small".

I didn't think it had much, and would never had paid $60 for it. It's probably worth $20, but not much more.

The actual basket is cheap looking, IMO.

There were 3 pears and 1 apple in the bottom, a small square of Baklava, some jam, mustard, crackers, medium cheddar cheese, and a small summer sausage.

I'm eating the apple right now, and it's yummy.

my mom just called...she loved it. she went on and on telling my about the items. She didn't mention fruit...I said...is there fruit...no...are you sure...I told her to check the bottom of the basket. YEP. 4 pears, 2 apples.
I think it was well worth the $20...and I would have paid more!
Wish it was still on sale though! I should have ordered more!

I ordered the fruit basket since the celebration basket was sold out. The pears are very bruised and not what I expected them to look like. I think it was worth the $20, but I still think the pears could look a little nicer.
