Did anyone buy a Harry & David celebration basket for themself?

I ordered 3 of the regular Tower of Treats last week for 14.95 each with free shipping. One for my wife, one for my Mom, [both shipping in early February] and one for me to be delivered ASAP. Mine arrived today and all I can say is WOW !!

The regular Tower of Treats must be sold out. I received a "Gourmet Tower of Treats" that contained:

** 6 large pears
** 2 huge apples
** smoked salmon
** 3 pack of jellies
** chocolate truffles [6]
** raspberry cookies [6]
** cheddar cheese
** mixed nuts
** baklava

The cookies, apple and truffles that I've tried so far were great. The pears need to ripen a bit, but look very very good. If you have never had a H&D pear, you need to try one !!

I dont think I bought he same one you bought your sitter , The one I bought had moosemunch and stuff in it . I wish I had bought like 7 of them bawwhwhwhaa

I agree. How small could it be, if you can't even tell if there's fruit in the bottom?

I order for my mom for her bday...she called and was happy about it.

The link I have still says January Sale up to 70% off, but when I click on it, none of the sales are nearly as good. I placed two orders as gifts for the Celebration basket (on sale for $19.95) and now the price for this item on their site is showing $69.95

I ordered the fruit basket since the celebration basket was sold out. The pears are very bruised and not what I expected them to look like. I think it was worth the $20, but I still think the pears could look a little nicer.

If the fruit quality isn't up-to-par, call H&D. They have excellent customer service and really stand by their products - they'll remedy the problem. Assuming you did not order the Maverick pears (i.e., the pears that are advertised as less-than-perfect), H&D fruit should not arrive "very bruised." Even the Maverick pears I've ordered have only had minor blemishes...
