Did a STUPID thing yesterday

I've been working at getting some air travel arrangements made for my mom to fly here to Minnesota for my son's H.S. graduation and on the my nephew's graduation in Virginia. Started checking it out on Expedia through one of the reward sites (I think Milesource).

Yesterday I went directly into Expedia to quickly check something and then it happened--I BOOKED THE FLIGHTS WITHOUT GOING BACK TO MILESOURCE

638 POINTS lost and gone forever. GRrrrrrrr I'm so mad at myself I could just ...

Oh well. Thanks for letting me vent. Must have been a "senior moment."

Hey Ted,

Don't feel too bad. I'm pretty sure that you can only get 100 pts for booking a flight through milesource. At least that is what I would have gotten when I spent $550 on tickets last year. If this has changed let me know.

I did the same thing a few months ago. I was flying to CA for my brother's wedding on United & I could have booked through MyPoints, but I spaced out. I did put the tickets on my CitiBank Rewards card though, but it would have been nice to get those 350 MyPoints too.

jdads2 & Thumper's Dad - I bought my airline tickets through Expedia using Milesource and only got 100 points, so at least it's not as much of a loss as you originally thought. I bet you don't do that again though !

Don't worry, I did the same thing about a month ago. Somehow I thought I was missing out on alot more points. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
