Did a spectacular NJ hike yesterday

to Sunfish Pond - finally after 4 attempts we made it to the pond!

Then dinner at Hot Dog Johnny's. It was a great day. We went up the Dunfield Creek trail and down the Applachian Trail, had the velcro dog along. Took us about 5 hours round trip. It was a beautiful Sunday.

I love the Appalachian trail. I go to a place near the trail in PA that borders two lakes. I usually do the bike trail part. One time we were climbing up part of a trail next to a waterfall and the higher we got the more butterflys we saw. It was amazing, too bad that I didn't have a camera.

I actually know someone who tried to hike it from Maine to Georgia. I think he gave up around VA though. Id like to camp along it sometime maybe for a few days.
