Diamond Club Parking

Is anyone aware of preferred parking at the theme parks for AAA (Triple A) members? I've heard it called Diamond Club parking?

I've never heard it called Diamond Club Parking. It's the AAA diamond parking lot. It's closer to the entrance and near the handicapped parking.

Don't knwo what they are calling it, but I was told in order to get a AAA parking pass, you had to buy either a package or your tickets through AAA.

Just being a AAA member won't allow you to park in the special area.

Also, at some parks, I've heard it's more of a hassle (more out of the way) to park in the AAA lot than just to normally self park.

Since we usually buy annual passes, though, I've never been able to check it out, since I can't get the pass from my local AAA chapter.

It usually fills very quickly, even during slower times.

The park that I find it the most convenient for is the AK.

I got a AAA parking pass the last time I bought tickets from the local AAA office. However, the pass stated it was not valid during peak Disney periods.

You get the AAA Diamond parking pass from your AAA office. Some offices only distribute it with AAA vacation packages. Other offices will give it to you if you buy certain Park hopper passes.

We used the Diamond lots at AK and MK. The diamond lots are small. We went off-peak, and early in the AM so no problem. Be sure and tell the front CM when you pay the $7 that you have AAA Diamond parking priviledges, so they can direct you where to go. We forgot to tell them at Epcot and we didn't find the AAA lot.

We liked the AAA Diamond lot because we had a double stroller, 2 kids, 4 adults, and lots of gear. It was easier to walk a little bit from the Diamond lot, versus folding up the stroller to ride the tram in the parking lot. If your group can just hop on the tram, then Diamond parking isn't all that great.
