Can anyone offer any help/advise for dining with diabetes at Disney? Going in May with mom (grandma) and five-year old daughter. Need to try to satisfy both ladies!
I agree. I found out I had gestational diabetes 3 days before we went to Disney last year. Since I didn't really know the diet, I was worried I would have a problem. But, it was really easy to follow it there. All the restaurants will work with you. We tried to stay away from the buffets though b/c it's hard to tell how some of the stuff is prepared.
I happen to be diabetic and travel to WDW quite often. One thing I've larned to do is call the restaurants 24 hours in advance and explain my situation. Usually they're very willing to help out and plan a meal that fits my diet.
