DHS Sorcerer's Hat to be removed

Per Intercot and Bolt over at the wdwmagic boards, the Sorcerer's Hat is shortly to be removed - official announcement later today.

Now, wheres my lawn chair...

Interesting...while I like the hat, it would have been better if the studios had been designed with it at the focus. As it is designed now, the theatre is the better focus, and it's sadly covered.

I'm unsure if it's accurate but the rumour was that when the real Chinese Theatre was sold, the new owners told Disney they wanted a percentage of sales of any photos that were sold to guests with the theatre in the background. I don't know how accurate that it though.

The hard-ticket I envision would include a whack with a sledgehammer instead of dessert. For yet another additional fee, you could even get a hardhat.
